The thing about Jumanji and Zathura is that if that shit existed in real life there would be an entire subculture dedicated to seeking out and playing haunted fuck up your whole life board games. There'd be reddit threads about whether it was better for a first time player to start with Zathura or Jumanji. And tiktok confessionals about someone feeding their brother to a gator.

Arthur will later rationalize it saying that it was not John's fault because he was not understanding the weight of his actions. This is extremely toxic and I love it. I wish there were more instances where John would try to get Arthur to do fucked up things.

So I follow N. D. Stevenson (comics writer and animator, most famous for Nimona and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power) and his husband Lee Ostertag (also a comics writer and animator) on Instagram. When I started following them, they were both publicly presenting as women, and then a few years ago N. D. came out as transmasc nonbinary, and then earlier this year Lee also came out as transmasc. Anyway this is all setup to say that Lee had the chance to make the funniest post of all time and he took it:

I want to throw in that part of the context behind this meme was N.D. talking about how he sometimes gets hatemail for marrying a man as a former lesbian, and how many people seem to think he divorced his wife.
I have not managed to find anyone who thinks that in the wild, but it is so damn funny.

Minneapolis comic bookstore owner Greg Ketter.
He owns Dreamhaven Books and Comics in Minneapolis and has done since the late 70s. Well worth the visit if you're local.
Their website is currently down from the sheer amount of traffic hitting it and Greg has said after they catch up with the online orders he's going to rest up for a bit before they get things back online, but for anyone outside of Twin Cities who wants to have a browse, their ABE books and Ebay where they post rare/collector items are still up.

Do you think that Bruce sometimes pulls the ‘my parents are dead’ card? Yes, I get that it was a traumatic and formative event for him but it would also sort of be funny, especially if he’s doing it ironically.

Some rogue tries to kidnap Bruce at some event, holding a gun to his head, just for Bruce to look at the rogue, almost tearfully and be like ‘i always knew I would end up like my dad’ and the rogue just panics because now they are in a room with a bunch of pissed off people because they’ve almost made the Princess Diana of Gotham cry.
Clark gets mad at him over something, yelling at him and of course Bruce is just no listening so Clark just snaps, Ma Kent’s favourite phrase of ‘who raised you???’ Only to completely fucking choke, pray for the ground to swallow him up because Bruce’s expression just slips a little (inside he’s hysterically laughing). Clark comes by again with a batch of cookies.
He can't obviously use it on the kids and they can't use it on him.
