There is no biblical evidence that Jesus even knew how to parallel park. Letting him take the wheel seems a bit irresponsible.
Okay, so this is obviously a joke, but it does actually blow my mind a little that Jesus was bad at things! Like, it’s true–I’m a better driver than Jesus because he never had a reason to learn!
Fully God and fully man means that as a man, while He never sinned, he also wasn’t perfect at every skill (or even most skills, necessarily). He had to learn things and hone his abilities, just like we do. Maybe his cooking was just so-so or he sang a little off-key. Maybe Peter and John laughed their heads off at his ineptitude at tying knots. I don’t know! But I find it astounding that by taking on our nature, Jesus, who is God, put himself in a position where he could make (non-sin) mistakes and fail at things. The degree to which God condescended will never cease to astound me.
Reminder:
The day you plant the seed, the thought, or the action is not the day that everything comes together. Be patient. Be humble. Keep moving forward with the reminder that something great is gonna be birthed. You will produce the results that you have been looking for. Your time is coming. Don't give up the fight.
“One of the greatest things you can do is process your feelings, acknowledge them fully, and take them to the Lord in prayer.”
— Nathan Emanuel
“But realize, every “you shall not” in the Bible is a promise of God’s protection. He is not preventing you from enjoying life; rather, He is saving you—keeping you from destroying yourself. Every command in His Word is an expression of divine love to you, His beloved child… . Adam and Eve didn’t understand this and the world is still paying for it. Don’t you make the same mistake.”
— Charles Stanley
Find a soul that doesn't lose appreciation once they're used to you
“You may tell me that times are hard. They may be hard; but it is my duty to remind you that time is short, and will be soon changed for eternity. Do not neglect your soul.”
— J.C. Ryle (via semperreformanda)
“One of the most popular verses we see misused by believers and non-believers is Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” This verse has nothing to do with personal goals, dreams, desires, obstacles, or self-esteem. This verse has everything to do with being victorious in whatever circumstance we find ourselves in. Paul knew he could abound in faith while lacking as he was sitting in prison writing Philippians, and he also knew how to abound when not in prison if he had plenty. Being truly content and victorious as a Christian is found when we abide in Christ.”

people who wait for you to tie your shoe. people who shift closer to you when you're subconsciously moving away while you're walking next to them. people who smile at you as soon as you make eye contact. people who seek you out to tell you some good news. people who listen to you and hear you and understand you. do not make the mistake of ever convincing yourself that everyone is a bad person when you yourself have done this and not even thought twice about it
You deserve the strongest of loves, the most uncontrollable laughter, and a genuine, forever lasting happiness. Please don’t ever forget that.

I VALUE my alone time. Like I deadass love my peace and quiet
Christianity isn’t being in a super emotional fantasy land, hoping you make it through the day high off the drug called God’s love; being real isn’t justifying feelings the Gospel doesn’t teach you to live by. It’s living and walking by faith no matter how you feel. Living in the light as He’s in the light.
Your only right as a Christian is to be forgiven, guiltless, loved, accepted and chosen. Everything else you toss away. Shame you leave behind. Fear, loneliness, neediness, you leave behind. He’s with you so you’ll be fine. He’ll never leave you nor forsake you, He’s faithful.
Tell me the truth even if it hurts me, even if it’s ugly. My heart is open. Tell me the truth without the self-protection, love can mend what’s broken in me and you.
