If you live in the UK and have an opinion about this becoming part of the National Curriculum, go fill in the public consultation: https://consult.education.gov.uk/rshe-team/review-of-the-rshe-statutory-guidance/
tumblrâs melting so why not post pg-rated doujinshi in full on main âWill You Still Need Meâ, complete. Iâll do this as a copy-bon at some point. High res PDF available later.Â
Just checking in during finals season... how are y'all doing? What's going on? Any interesting paper topics? We're all ears đ
When I first signed up for electrolysis, the clinic owner told me her whole staff is trans. Cool. I assumed that meant trans femmes, since we're the ones who usually need the facial hair removal, so it only makes sense that some of us will go into the business.
Nope! My electrolysis tech is a trans man with a full beard. Huh.
I like how every reply has unanimously agreed that he's taking the hair for himself. We're all on the same wavelength here.
I'm going to see him again today to continue my electrolysis. On a scale of one to that's weird, how much of a bad idea is it to bring a printout of this comic?
I need to know how this ends.
(I haven't shown him the comic yet. I keep forgetting to prant it)
prant
prant
Update: I still haven't remembered to PRANT it, but since we were talking about beards today I explained the post and comic to him, and he thought it was hilarious. He says he's gonna put it on his wall once I do PRANT it.
Important update: I finally remembered to prant it (I gave up and did it on my own printer, so it was black and white), and the little man is chuffed.
He was giggling the whole time he read the thread, and then once he was done zapping me, he went over to wash his hands and it was still sitting on the counter, and he started laughing again.
Mission accomplished! It only took a few months or so. This is how adhd works. I'm lucky I remember to bring my skin to the "remove hair from skin" appointment.
the thing that sucks is that people love saying sleep early is good etc etc and yeah it is. I've seen some benefits before. but I think it sucks to ignore that late night is the only time with any freedom. I think it sucks to not acknowledge the dread in waking up and it's a work day again
"fast travel to work" is a great way of putting it. because a lot of people say "but the less time you have at night, the more time you have during the morning!" but your morning is like, getting emotionally ready to get off of bed, taking your meds, taking a shower, making and eating breakfast, going to work, etc. and waking up early will just make you do that stuff early. it won't give you more time to rest, it won't give you more time to talk to anyone, it won't inherently give you anything at all even. sometimes saving up 30-60 minutes before work is just kind of a nothing amount of time. it's like saying extended lunch break is free time. it's not. just because you're not actively working doesn't mean you're not giving your time to your employer
we need to give transfems a break
Hey students, hereâs a pro tip: do not write an email to your prof while youâre seriously sick.
Signed, a person who somehow came up with âdear hello, I am sick and not sure if Iâll be alive to come tomorrow and Iâm sorry, best slutantions, [name]â.
I mean, if someone wrote that to me, Iâd probably believe they were sick.
âSlutantionsâ has me crying laughing
i once emailed my professor with a migraine. a mistake.
âI amsick will not to choir because i have a heache. i Hope its very and i am so sorry
love,
blueâ
the subject line was âOWâ
THE SUBJECT LINE IS THE BEST PART JSJFJSJDJS JUST IMAGINE GETTING AN EMAIL WITH NO CONTEXT OTHER THAN âOWâ
As someone who has taught college, please send those emails because 1) We WILL believe that; no one would write that on purpose and 2) we need a laugh sometimes.
On the other side of this, once after getting taken to the ER by ambulance, I got an email from the professor whose class Iâd passed out in, and the message had no text, just the subject line âyou good?â
Reblogging for the last addition
Claritin makes me weird, but I have allergies so thereâs about a month and a half block of time where Iâm taking Claritin and am just weird most of the time.
Anyway, my last year of college, I got the flu or something in late March and was also taking Mucinex. I told my professor I couldnât come to class one day by email except I couldnt think of what to say, so my medicated ass decided to make a Fry meme. I think it said something like âNot sure if I can go to class with a head the size of Texas, bottom text.â I didnât think until the next day that it probably wasnât socially-acceptable to tell your philosophy professor you werenât coming to class via Tumblr style memes. When i got back to class, i found that sheâd printed it out and taped it to the classroom bulletin board.
Oh shit you guys i turned on my WinXP laptop that I used to use back then.
IT WAS ON THE DESKTOP. THIS IS WHAT I SENT.
Itâs even worse than i remember it
Shrek (2001)
i amr ebloggging this after 32 seconds because i am already sobbing
I love it when people use "shrimp" to mean "beyond the human range". like "shrimp colors" but applied to other things. "shrimp emotions" "shrimp sounds" "shrimp morality", as if shrimp are living some kind of transcendent existence that humans can never comprehend
turns out... these little creatures are not so "shrimple" after all!
why'd I write this like I'm 74
reverse gaslighting where i pretend to know exactly what you are talking about

Goncharov (1973)
Shinjuku Boys (1995). Tatsu, a transgender man, jokes with his barber about his changing appearance, and his newly masculine features.
TRANSCRIPT:
BARBER: So you go regularly to the hospital for your hormone injection? TATSU: [nods] BARBER: Does it hurt? TATSU: Not at all. BARBER: You have more facial hair. It must be the hormones. Youâll get a moustache soon. TATSU: Iâll look distinguished! Theyâve made quite the difference. I never thought Iâd change so much. Most customers say Iâm like a man. BARBER: Really? TATSU: [laughing] They say, âYou look like a man. Youâre not cute.â BARBER: [laughs]
END TRANSCRIPT.
If you exclude aro and ace people from the lgbtq+ community I hope you get run over by a truck btw
So Fox News ran a story about how they think libraries are turning into drug-infested sex dens and I am shocked, shocked that I was never offered any drugs during my 15+ years working in libraries.
Where do they think the sex is happening?? Every single aisle is lit in that horrible LED lighting. The teens don't even make out here anymore.
As a state certified librarian I can assure you that you just have to go into your local library and ask if they're participating in the new Fox News Hysteria program smh. If they're not, you'll just have to renew your library card and use the fun and valuable resources they're offering right now, such as wifi hotspots, museum passes, dvd lending, mid level adult erotica, ebook lending, and printing! đ
Jokes aside, here's a nice textbook example piece for any young folks who had not yet seen the "if a society agrees that a Thing is Bad, then people in power have a vested interest in labeling their political opponents as Bad Thing" principle in action.
With the recent run of censorship laws in red states, public libraries have proven a consistent stumbling block. They are not going along with the right-wing agenda of collective memory wipe and public gag order on topics of queerness and racial tension. Public libraries are becoming, increasingly, politically inconvenient for this faction.
And so, it turns out that public libraries are Full Of Sex And Drugs. Just absolute Dens of Sin and Iniquity. Shocking! Who would have thought?
