dont really have anywhere to post anymore so heres a baby rant
getting really fucking sick and tired of ai being ok, especially in art spaces. like. the revolution is coming, whatever, no one will have a job anymore, microsoft copilot will become a valued member of my family, but i cant get over ART. i frequent pinterest (i know) and so much of the little infographics or recipes are ai slop--but just the design. i think the content is real, they just dont have design experience. its kinda harrowing that we are losing experience/pay for new designers/artists and also not allowing people room to /grow/ and /learn/. its all laziness+profits. if my thing isnt 100%, no one will look and i wont get the money i need. paying someone for a design will cut into my money
that actually isnt even what i wanted to talk about lmao theres a local arts and crafts space that looks super cute and fun where you get to go in and pay a fee and there are essentially kits and assistance for some crafty stuff for adults (fuck around w decent watercolor, beading stuff, whatever) and their fucking logo and branding is ai. like come ON. i know youre a small business but FUCK!!! youre ART!! i hate this fucking family
