For example, I could make a black character cottagecore because it's cute and not see anything wrong with it until two weeks after, at 3:00 am realizing why that might be kind of problematic.

Does anyone have a book on how to avoid this, like I'm just dumb, man.

I was about to write a bi character that is on the good side and then he goes to the bad side and then he goes to the good side again and his character arc is that be can't decide if he wants to be bad or good but in the end he settles for the good side 😭 AND I DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT UNTIL LIKE A MONTH AFTER I AS DONE WITH HIS CHARACTER ARC

Im litteraly just gonna make everyone white and cis/het and somehow *still* say something with bad connotations behind it without noticing it
