I just made this Sweet 16 #diecut #caketopper out of #glitter cardstock. Pro tip for #diecutting, clean your cutting tools! I had so much trouble with my Silhouette Cameo3 because I wasn't cleaning the autoblade with a vacuum. Glitter gets clogged in there and will make your machine hang on cuts, won't turn corners properly. It was a headache. But yeah, cleaning. Go figure. Im really starting to like using a pen. I can't say I like it as much as I like pencil, but better than before! This is #inktober day 3 #roasted. This was also difficult because like the moon for Day 2, I needed a lot of light. But with this I had to figure out the gradual light of the flames. But first I had to come up with an idea for roasted. It took forever to think of something that didn't involve chicken, duck, veggies, or food in general. Next was the thought of someone getting insulted- roasted. I didn't like that idea. Then I thought of October is when I like to get the wood stove going. Catching up on #inktober! Here's my entry for Day 1 #poisonous. I chose #poisonivy. I didn't realize how difficult drawing in pen would be. Glad I went with a 3.5 inch (88mm) square pad of paper and Micron 1mm black fine pen. My son did the last pic in this series with his skull, dagger, and poison rose. Finished my tiger sketch! I did okay. I just wanted to draw something with interesting eyes and facial features...other than people. I think this on is a little dumpy. Too much going on near the bottom. I also made the eye on the left and that side of the nose a little crooked. This is the longest I've spent on a sketch since I didn't want to rush the details. I did however rush this one a little today as I just wanted to finish. I need more patience! I think I've solved why my #3dprinter won't #3dprint! I made this custom fan vent that funneled air directly to the nozzle. Apparently, it has gotten warm enough to melt and slightly bend. It now bends to the point that it's lower than the nozzle. I couldn't figure out why the filament wouldn't stick to the bed.
