I finished my session a couple hours ago!... As the DM I feel I did a horrendous job.

But my players told me they had fun

So I guess... Mission success?

Definitely some rough moments and I need to learn mech combat better because there's some confusing bits but like... That's okay next time Ill make it better and I'll hopefully be proud of the session.

I think also I need to set up the story differently cause I didn't want to intervene but they ended up debating what to do over the pirates (for morality) for so long people got tired before combat started so I just ended up kinda rushing it and it was sloppily played

Bridles work by putting pressure on specific parts of a horse's face that are receptive to pressure, so they turn away from it.

IIRC, reptiles don't have those same bits. It'd basically just acting like a muzzle here.

The handlers should know this. Are they even qualified to handle dragons? I wanna see their credentials.

So a while ago I got the humble bundle for a bunch of battletech fiction. I finished the Grey Death Legion trilogy and I wanna branch out into the clans. The problem is I don't like the Wolves and the Prydes kinda bore me, so the two main suggestions I see for what to read (Blood of Kerensky and Legacy of the Jade Phoenix) aren't gonna be it. What do you recommend, Jade Falcon's jadest falcon?

You will not like this answer.

I would say that you should read the BoK trilogy and the Jade Phoenix trilogy.

You should read them, rather than simply rejecting them out of hand, if for no other reason than they lay out so much important lore for the Clans, whom you say you want to branch out into.

A dislike of one subfaction, or the fact that certain set of characters bore you (which would imply you've already read these novels, even though that doesn't seem to be the case... and thus I question where these opinions have come from), is poor reasoning for writing off two entire sets of very well written books.

Especially when the novels in question have more factions and characters represented than just the ones you take issue with. Coming at things with preformed opinions is a poor way of engaging with anything, let alone something you state you want to begin exploring.

Try them. You might find something in them you like in spite of the things you say you don't like.
