Summary: Leonardo sends CJ back through time to save the world. In a split second decision, as the death-ray charges behind him, he makes the choice to run. Now alone in a dying world, he starts making guides for those who may come after to fight the Krang.

Unbeknownst to him, there's a group on the receiving end of these recorded messages.

(Alternatively: Future Leo survives and begins to vlog the apocalypse to cope with the loneliness. Casey's mask allows the current day Hamato's the ability to view the recordings, and they decide they're going to get this sad old man back if its the last thing they do.)

It’s like he’s creating blueprints in his head first, because this is what makes sense to him in his process of creation! It’s how he was always doing it and how it works for him.

He doesn’t disperse his ninpo just like you’d expect one would do with magic, but he treats it exactly like it was a part of his tech-bo, disengaging it like it would be still a mechanical/electric part

i think its so funny when people take the way donnie acts at face value even though its a horrible lie because he's a horrible liar, while understanding leo is bullshitting very well despite him actually being GOOD at bullshitting. many such cases

When people write Donnie as just so emotionless, and robotic I’m like, how did you fall for this paper thin act? When I’d go so far to say, we clearly see in the show that he’s possible THE MOST emotional when reacting to things. He’s hardly ever calm and collected. He’s panicking, he’s crying, he’s screaming, he’s flailing around. His flight instinct is so strong, and his anger really gets the better of him a lot.

The times when he’s able to be playing the unemotional bad boy that most of the fandom believes him to be, are only when things are totally within control and chill—mostly when the boys are just hanging out in the lair. But it’s still an act. He’s playing up being nonchalant when really, he cares so much about what his family thinks, and wants to hear their opinions. He’s desperate for attention and love. It clouds his judgement and really affects his ability to think clearly in moments of high stress. Which I love as a character trait because those life or death moments basically make that big brain of his, just flip off. It’s so ironic (and can and should be used more for angst)
