I'm loving the slow transition of Light of my life sifloop interactions going from Loopfrin being so afraid to do "touch therapy" (just touchin Stardust's arms) to Loopfrin stupidly blurting out "LET ME FEEL YOUR HEARTBEAT!"

They progressively get more normal about it!

Then they get a whole lot less normal about it, but in the complete opposite direction in which they started.

You cannot convince me this doesn’t fit Siffrin so well, it’s like an antithesis to this undertale moment. That idea to stay in the loops, to know everything that happens, to stay with everyone you love. “You could do this forever” and you would have (even if not by choice) if not for those you kept close even as you pushed them away, nothing would have changed without them.

ok question i had a thought when i saw isabeau accidentally breaking a star crest!! in the looping isabeau au does he kind of hoard things. like, items and such. i kind of assume bonnie gets the tonics and things like that, but what about important things? what about keys, and star crests, and any other things that they all need to get through the house?

i ask specifically because. imagine how fucked up it would be if siffrin (The Pocketful One) felt useless because isabeau found everything, and knew where the traps were, and kept everything. you know the things siffrin is kind of good at. i assume he'd probably learn not to do that (and also that it's probably best to give the items you really don't want to break over to someone who won't accidentally break them)

Isabeau collecting things on Siffrin’s behalf becomes a bad habit he picks up for the sake of getting through the House faster, but it’s not malicious! Because he doesn’t consider Siffrin just an item-keeper or a key-finder! It has literally never occurred to him that Siffrin relies on being helpful as an affirmation of being, or else he never would’ve started hoarding.

But, of course, the damage is done and feelings are hurt. Siffrin isn’t the only one who feels the effects of this, either. The rest of the party is also noticeably downtrodden at the top of the House when they realize they barely did a single thing to help save the world.

Isabeau’s not ignorant to it forever, especially not after the key incident. He remembers to leave a few chores and secrets for the others to help discover. He really wants them to feel included and not hurt their feelings again!

… But over two years in the loops kinda wears down on someone’s patience. He forgets to include the others completely, again. Gathers all the things, even if he breaks them sometimes. Too focused on his goal to get out and keep them all safe to remember to leave things for them to do. At least by that point they’re way too worried over the state of Isabeau to feel bad about themselves.

SPOILERS FOR ISAT

There are a lot of truly fantastic scenes and events from ISAT like for example Loop's titular 'Why Did They Say That?' But at least in the vein of missable scenes my favorite is always gonna be Siffrin talking about riding out on his family's boat.

Because yes he completely forgot and lost everything, but the thing that always chokes me up about it is that we don't know what happened to the inhabitants of the northern island. Sure, they could be gone, or they could be wandering around in a daze unable to form any memories or thoughts. But they just as likely could be fine. Siffrin's entire family could be completely fine, and they could've been with them. Siffrin could have kept his entire family and culture and life, but he lost everything because he was a dramatic kid.

I feel like a lot of the time fan media goes with the idea that he was one of the only ones to survive, or that everyone evacuated, as opposed to the much more haunting idea that Siffrin was a kid that didn't want eat their vegetables, went out on their families boat and was never seen again. That his culture wasn't lost, he can just never be a part of it again cause he acting like any kid would. Everything he ever wanted is still there, but he's locked out of it forever.

At least that was my initial interpretation, roughly at least, tbh when i first saw i forgot that the disappearance of the continentwould have had to happen when he was on the boat. so i thought that the craft doing it was already there, and that siffrin just got too far from the island, and he forgot all about it just like everyone else, which is imo another kind of depressing, he lost everything he had ever know cause he went a few feet too far.
