Hey idk who needs this but helpful reminder that "virgin blood" in any witchcraft shit that requires that means "virgin" in the same sense as "virgin hair" means hair that hasn't been dyed or processed in any way, natural in the default sense. So no, "virgin blood" doesn't mean blood from a virgin, just blood that hasn't been used for any other kind of witchy shit earlier.

Whether nor not someone has fucked before is completely irrelevant. Any act of fucking doesn't instantly make someone contaminated or un-magic any of their shit. You're just not supposed to re-use blood for blood magic. That's just not. Just do not. Like that's just weird who does that.

Can somebody please explain oppositions, squares, trines, sextiles, and conjunctions mean in a simple and straightforward way? 😭

The opposition is when planets are across the wheel 180 degrees from each other, putting them in oppositional stance!

A square refers to zodiac signs that are 90 degrees apart making a harsh angle and tend to suggest tension/unaligned energy!

A trine happens when a planet aligns with a sign of the same element, and is at 120 degrees and is a positive aspect!

Sextiles are aspects where planets are 60 degrees apart and is also positive, though not as strong as a trine!

A conjunction is when 2 planets are very close in the sky and sit in the same sign, amplifying the energies of both for either positive or negative depending on the pair of planets in question!

Y’all I’m being so serious when I say this: go to the library for witchcraft reasons.

You can usually find books on witchcraft, yes, but there’s also field guides on local foraging and wildlife, cookbooks, books that teach you how to craft and DIY, books about environmental protection and stewardship, books on how to use herbs medicinally, books about other religions, cultures, and spiritual practices. My favorite local library even has a seed swapping program and fantastic resources to research your own family history!

Go to the library for witchcraft. Please. :) <3

Not that witchcraft is a performance but there is a lot of joy to be found in successfully lobbying your library to order/borrow occult books. It's a subversive joy that I think isn't quite tapped into enough.

Cleansing tip!

Don’t forget to cleanse your bathroom and your shower and bath! I discovered there’s lots of negative and stagnant energy in the shower, which makes sense considering you wash off your negativity in there.

Also cleanse your mirror in there. I find doors are often in need of several passes when cleansing as well.
