I'm honestly surprised that not many people thought of the partner's parents if the partner has an egg move. In my hacked EOS game, my Vulpix partner's parent is a Houndoom dad, hence why she has Faint Attack.

The hero, I haven't figured out why they would have an egg move. For Gates, it's obviously Hydreigon. But for the other PMD heroes...? Not sure.

What are your headcanons on this, everyone? 👀

Rescue Team’s egg move comes from Gardevoir’s interference. That dream where she says “we” brought a human to save the world? Definitely her fault. As for Super, Mew. Basically, my headcanon is whoever brought the hero to the pokemon world added an egg move for help-saving-the-world purposes!
