Klance shippers who complain about sheith shippers invalidating male friendships are hypocrites. They do the EXACT same thing with Keith and Lance's friendship arc. You could literally say this about any gay ship- it's a bad, homophobic argument. Male friendships are everywhere in media, they aren't scarce whatsoever outside of fandom (which is such a tiny, minuscule part of pop culture most people don't even know what it is). They just want another excuse to hate sheith. Don't let it get to you

You’re right. There are a lot of male friendships that break the norm of stereotypical relationships. Like Turk and JD in Scrubs. They were really close and even said themselves that they “are a little married”. Even Turk’s wife comments on their close relationship.
And it’s true. They say that sheithers are homophobic for seeing keith and shiro as romantic when they ship klance.
Most of keith and lance’s interactions are just arguing while most, if not all, of keith and shiro’s interactions, are soft and caring. What ship would you rather see canon? Rivals, to friends, to lovers? Or friends to lovers?
Keith and Shiro have been so close since the beginning but it’s apparently invalid compared to two guys who don’t even get along most of the time. Heck, Keith’s last interaction with the guy was telling him that he doesn’t have time for him while Keith’s last interaction with Shiro was holding him in his arms.
You know what. You’re fucking right. I shouldn’t be listening to them. Why should I listen to them? They’re trying to lecture sheith shippers on how bad we are for seeing romance between two close guys when they literally ship klance.
As far as I’m concerned, considering what they ship, no klancer has any right to judge sheith fans. We ship two guys who have cared about each other from the start. Who have loved each other from the start. Their relationship is even supported by the cast and crew of voltron themselves.
Why should I feel ashamed when even the cast/crew support it?
Sheith is not invalid. The only thing that’s invalid is telling sheith shippers they’re homophobes and contributing to toxic ways of thinking just because they don’t like sheith.
