My name is Jesse and I'm a 21 year old guy born in raised in da LBC. I'm going to be a fourth year at Cal Poly SLO where I'm majoring in anthropology-geography and minoring in psychology and religious studies. I am currently unemployed although I have experience as a former frozen yogurt extraordinaire/specialist. I just got back from an internship in Hyderabad, India for Adhikaar 2014 doing women empowerment projects for six weeks. I'm overall just a sarcastic weirdo bitch who means well and I like all the things life has to offer. I just finished my reflection on this book I recently read. It was a hilarious read (whether it be turkeys flirting with her, "Hoe masters", or sneaking zucchini into people's car during church) but it was really life changing. I'm not going to go to a farm and do what they did (at least not yet) but I do want to become a "locavore" and start eating healthier but also more real and more sustainable. I don't wanna preach or anything but it's a fantastic read, it's just so sweet and three family members wrote it. Follow a family's journey from Tucson to Appalachia where they grow and rely on local food while learning about themselves, it's just really great.
