Longing for more Strattland fics that have them meet at collage/ pre PHM but still have the Hail Mary project happen
Imagining them engaged but not telling anyone
not because it’s a secret but just because they are private people and rumours about preferential treatment already run rampant around the Vat
And in the lead up to the events of PHM they decide to get married, both because they don’t know what will happen next and because they don’t want to have to testify against each other (not that Eva had to end up worrying about that)
The world is ending and they already spent so much of their life being quiet, so they find no point in not hyphenating their last names
They only end up finding out after the launch, when Eva Stratt-Grace is charged for environmental terrorism and countless other charges
The whole world only gets to know through the project Hail Mary memorial
The names of all the people who have their lives for the sake of the world engraved on a plaque including Ryland Stratt-Grace

Ironically I had been thinking about combining ATLA and Hazbin Hotel for a bit, then I was scrolling through your posts and saw the one with Alastor becoming Ursa, and decided to send mine in as it's pretty different lol
So in this one the Avatar verse was one of God's first drafts, he discarded it when he decided he didn't want humans to have that much power and wanted to separate out some of the animals from each other, but when he went to throw it in the cosmic trash can he missed and it rolled under his desk. So it still exists, just it usually doesn't reach Earth, Heaven or hell, as they have their own cycle of reincarnation and spirit worlds and everything. However, sometimes a random portal opens up and well. Those from the main Earth, Heaven and Hell can't go through as God has placed some sort of block over them reaching his other draft worlds, but because he thought he had thrown out the Avatar world, He didn't put a block on that one, and so occasionally people, animals etc will come into the main hellaverse.
This is what happened to Alastor's mother (maybe little baby Alastor too? I'm undecided), and so Alastor grew up a bender, having to hide his abilities lest he be attacked for being possessed or something.
At some point after S2, the blast from Lilith's Might had caused cracks in the block God set up, and the Hotel crew accidentally fall into the Avatar verse. I want to say that they arrive before the fall of Ozai, just because I kind of want to see their reactions to everything that's happened to the main crew. The Agni that the Fire Nation worships is a version of Lucifer, and so he's madly freaked out about all of this. And even more so when he realizes Alastor is from this universe.
Now as for which bending ability that Alastor has, I'm honestly torn between quite all of them. I think that it would be cool for him to be an earthbender, as he and Toph would get along just far too well, I think maybe Earth might be a bit too solid and unchanging for him. Water and fire are both kind of tied in my mind, water because the bayou (and his mother could have been from the Foggy Swamp) and everything, and fire because ironically that could connect to his shadow abilities as the light casts a shadow. Also, it would be really hilarious to see how he would treat Lucifer LOL. But I think my absolute favorite, might be the violent serial killing cannibal being an Airbender and Aang at first being all excited about having another Airbender only to find out what Alastor is really like LOL. Also, because Air seems to be the element of freedom, and that does seem to be one of Alastor's big motivations, to be free and able to do what he wants when he wants. Which ironically kind of coincides with Aang's whole thing, a lot of times he runs off just to do what he wants instead.
I am completely concerned that if Ty Lee, Aang and Charlie all get together, they might cause an apocalypse of cheerfulness. Though, maybe that might stop Ozai early. Of course that will not save him from Alastor's retribution. A shitty dad who maybe possibly killed his wife? Boy oh boy is he having flashbacks. Don't worry Zuko, you're not going to have to worry about proving yourself to your father soon. Alastor will take care of that for you!
Also, as a side note, Lucifer definitely created the turtle ducks. And wouldn't it be funny if that was Alastor's absolute favorite animal other than the catgators?
I like this! I'm especially laughing at the idea of the avatar universe missing the cosmic trash bin and rolling under his desk lol.
And yeah, Alastor would just kill Ozai.
Him as an airbender is fun, but I really like the idea of him as a waterbender, because a) bayou and b) BLOODBENDING.
I like the idea it was just Alastor's mother, because then you get the fact that he's essentially a second generation immigrant who only has stories of his mothers homeland, who was born and raised in hellaverse but doesn't quite fit in...
And then he gets to see his mothers homeworld.
Maybe as he lived outside the Avatar World Alastor invented a unique way of water bending like Toph?
This is what hozier meant when he says he falls a little bit in love everyday with someone new
I once watched a girl in the produce aisle pick up a bushel of bananas that were precariously perched on the edge and move them farther back and under her breath she said “there you go sweeties - that will be more comfortable” before shuffling off and… I think about her often.
« Silent lovers » is such a sweet way to put it.
I was driving on the highway and passed a dude absolutely JAMMING alone in his car, doing those little half dance moves you do when you’re stuck sitting down in a small space, bellowing unheard lyrics at the top of his lungs, and my instant reaction was to think “I love you.” And then to pray he had a good day, or whatever, because those fleeting moments of connection are so incredible.
Any Death Note and Hazbin Hotel fans here?
We know that Light Yagami and Misa Amane as Death Note Users are banned from both Heaven and Hell, but what about L?
Things to consider:
The author thinks of L as 'slightly evil' and sociopathic as a result of his training at Wammy's House.
L outright calls himself 'a monster' once, doesn't seem to consider himself as a human, but is a self-aware monster unlike Light.
L has been known to use extreme measures to solve a case, including torture, isolation and using an Death Row Inmate as test dummy (even if he couldn't believe it actually worked).
Even if solving cases is 'only a game' to L, he still chooses to use his talents to bring Justice to the world instead of becoming a terrorist with a God Complex.
In the anime, L is symbolically compared to Jesus and Light to Judas in his final episode:
Do you think L would be a Winner or a Sinner in the Hellaverse?
L would go to Heaven
L would go to Hell
L would go to Heaven, get BORED and try to escape to Hell within the first week
@diamondkat What sins do you think would send him to Hell?
Michael!Alastor AU
Random crack idea for this au, make Rosie the reincarnation of Eve and have Rosie and Alastor try to out mum and dad Lilith and Lucifer for Charlie. Or have Rosie and Alastor out mum and dad Lucilith with Emily. All the parallels with Eve!Rosie paralleling Lilith, Michael!Alastor paralleling Lucifer and Emily paralleling Charlie.
Heck you could even have Charlie getting jealous of Emily's weird dysfunctional family being more healthy and loving than her own much less dysfunctional (in comparison to Emilys) family.
I just like the potential of Eve or Roo!Eve or Eve!Rosie interacting with Michael!Alastor and them being similar to Lilith and Lucifer pre fall (although Rosie and Alastor are platonic not romantic). This also leads to concepts of Lucifer trying to 'protect' Alastor from Rosie similar to how Michael tried to protect Lucifer from Lilith (not that Lilith was a villain in the garden but Lilith lead to Lucifer falling). History has a way of repeating itself.
I think it would be pretty easy for them to out parent Lucilith, because the bar is literally in hell! I also like the idea of Lucifer trying to protect Michael!Alastor from Eve or Roo (or both) Rosie!

The Solarians
An introduction by Anthropologist Bráss
The Solarians– "space-blobs" or "star-children" as they are popularly know- are a race of space-faring aliens from the λth planet orbiting ES-I+V+, "Hellio" or Sol star-system. They are a carbon based organic species who lives in extremely cold environments, with a thin, oxygen-rich atmosphere. They consist mostly of water and host a variety of essencial micro-biomes within their bodies to keep those working, along with constant controled-combustions that powers their organs and blood flow.
Despite all that, one of the most notable aspects of this species is their natural ability to sense light waves, and, subsequently, hear the stars and planets. Because of this ability, from the dawn of their history to present day, the Solarians have cataloged the void, around which they have build vast mythology- most evident in the planets of their own system, that are all named after gods.
By the time Savior-Grace left her home planet, solarians already had a space program much more advanced than ours, with about II+ billion stars mapped, having traveled to their natural satellite and sent data collectors into their closest planets and orbiters, and when the Star-Greeter begin their journey to our system only ∀V human years later, they had stablished settlements in both the Home-Counterpart and The Warrior-Protector, with plans for posts in orbit of The Thunder-Ruler
Due to time dilation, years have already passed on Earth by this point, so it is impossible to say what else they have; however, speaking with the crew from the Star-Greeter, they report that the "Save Stars" program became top priority when the Taumeba arrived on the planet.
In Solarian Mythology, our own star is part of a group of about VIV stars that represent a river or river deity.
Dead Wife Club
and the mystery remains unsolved to this day.........
You've heard of Earth is space australia now get ready for: Earth is the space Amazon Rainforest. Aliens land on Earth and they are losing their goddamn minds because every square inch of the ground is absolutely PACKED with life like there are hundreds of species just in this one site, there are winged animals flying through the sky and multiple colonies of sophisticated social insects just in the shadow of their ship, this ONE ROCK is covered in MULTIPLE SPECIES OF ORGANISMS that are themselves MULTIPLE ORGANISMS LIVING SYMBIOTICALLY, the tall, woody autotrophs look so different from each other because they're...holy shit that's like 5, 6, 7???? different species on this one site???
they start talking to a human and the human is like "haha yeah that's a crow!" and the alien researcher is like "you called it a 'bird' earlier, is that a different name?" and the human is like "oh a crow is just one species of bird, there's like, 10 others out there"
"On this planet?"
"No, in the back yard right now."
imagine aliens that come from a tidally locked planet where only a thin band of the planet is habitable, or a planet life was only able to develop in small areas at the poles, or in the few pools of liquid water on the planet's surface, or just in isolated areas where geologic activity causes geysers and springs, visiting Earth. They seem completely unprepared for the shock of realizing that Earth's continents appear green because the continents are absolutely covered with green organisms.
The alien biologists are so uncomfortable because there are certain protocols for maintaining certain distances from life signatures to avoid harming unfamiliar organisms, and groves of plant like autotrophs and pools where aquatic life dwells are carefully protected and respected, with very important rules for approach
On Earth, the inhabitants are just. Playing and walking LITERALLY STEPPING ON CARPETS OF ORGANISMS the whole time. the aliens are like "it doesn't hurt them??? Can't you just...move them to a place where you don't have to step on them?" and the humans are like "no of course not, grasses evolved to tolerate being stepped on, and besides, more plants would grow there if we tried to move the existing ones"
It then must be explained that humans would need to regularly spray poisons on the ground to prevent any given area of bare soil from filling up with plant life, and that "regularly" means "multiple times within a single solar cycle." And that the poisons stop working within a few decades because the plants evolve to resist them that fast.
Human: yeah solar is the dominant energy source these days but some of the recent solar farm projects are pretty controversial because they're in reclaimed strip mining sites that others argue should be restored as best as we can to their previous ecological state
Alien: I don't understand...why would you not place the solar farms in an area of the planet with no existing ecosystem?
Human: ...what?
Alien: You have rather sophisticated protective gear and have done some space exploration, surely you could establish them in an area of the planet to which life is not yet adapted?
Human: ...there isn't one.
Alien: ...what do you mean there isn't one
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU 'DON'T KNOW' HOW MANY SPECIES THERE ARE"
"Our biologists would love to collaborate with your Earth scientists to draw up a definitive listing of Earth species and resolve any inconsistencies in the records."
"I don't think you understand what I'm saying. Only 25% of Earth's species have been formally described, at most."
"that's...that's most of them."
"Yes?"
"Well...I suppose the ocean trenches and abyssal plains must be difficult for you to reach...where did you have to travel for your discoveries?"
"Travel? I moved here to Alabama in the first place to study its aquatic ecosystems. The crayfish I discovered live in that creek I showed you earlier."
"Too bad you couldn't have come here a few thousand years ago, humanity has really been doing a number on our diversity of species. Some say it might be the next great extinction."
"Wait. I believe this is something your language refers to as needing 'unpacking.' The current biodiversity represents a historical low point?"
"Well, a local minimum, as the math people say. But yeah, I think there was some recovery after the Younger Dryas about ten thousand years ago, but for every new species humanity creates intentionally or unintentionally, tens or hundreds have been wiped out. We're not proud of this."
"We will need time to digest this, to the point I'm afraid to ask the next question: NEXT great extinction?"
"Yeah, I forget how many there've been total, and there's some arguing over how bad it has to get before it really counts. A comet or meteor strike 65 million years ago wiped out the majority of life...the majority of species or even genera...there's entire classes of life we didn't know ever existed until we found their fossils a few hundred years ago. And then there's the Permian, when a good chunk of a continent erupted and I think we lost...ninety percent of all species? Maybe more? I'd have to look it up. There was also a mass extinction that just happened because all the continents got pushed together and apparently that was bad for life on land and in the sea. You're looking a little faint...do you need to sit down?"
"But...even a single great extinction has always meant the end of life above the unicellular level, on every world we've visited. This planet has evolved complex incredibly ramified life repeatedly despite three mass extinction events?"
"I wanna say...five?"
A Deathworld is scary. A Lifeworld is fucking terrifying.
Ragebaiting Rocky by introducing him to Kelvin
Deer in Shark Infested Waters
Crack idea.
Before Vox asks to be friends and business partners, him and Alastor got really drunk. He confesses his feeling and how much he loves the deer, and they had sex. (Non-sex repulsed Asexual Alastor.) Alastor remembers but doesn't know if Vox does. So Alastor is in this limbo of waiting for Vox to confess. Which is why being friendzoned made him crash out.
Come to find out, he's pregnant and fucking terrified. How the fuck? This should be impossible.
Because there's no access to baby items or healthcare in the Pride Ring, and he's a Sinner that can't go to the lower Rings. He gives birth to a mermaid purse, so he puts them in his bayou, hoping that there was enough algae for oxygen and water flow while trying to sustain them on his powers.
He catches a hammer head shark Hellborn who was in Pride and says that he wants to make a deal.
Hammer head is absolutely terrified, agrees to answer questions for his freedom, until Alastor starts asking question. Like, on what a shark Hellborn baby would need. And how to take care of a mermaid purse. Asking about commerce, how to buy items from the lower Rings, healthcare, and schooling for Hellborn. To which the shark asks if the Sinner was left with a shark Hellborn. To which Alastor tells him that he gave birth to one, and the father cut and run before that. And he wants to be able to provide for his kid.
The Hellborn was literally raised in a mob mentality, family and protecting your people is super important, so he offers to help. As long as Alastor has the cash to pay for the items, he can go down and get them. If the kid needs healthcare and Alastor can pay, he'll get a doctor or nurse to make a home visit. He, and the other loan sharks, can help teach him to take care of a shark/shark adjacent Demon.
This results in Alastor getting a community of people to help him.
(Chaz is on thin ice for flirting with him and being a general gross person. He's not welcome to the cook outs and no one tells him shit. Keep him away from Alastor and the kid.)
Alastor is brought in to their family to see how shark Hellborn children are raised. He becomes friends with the female sharks, who are all bigger and stronger than their male counter parts. They initially thought it was strange that this one was to become a mother, but then they see Kaiju Alastor and are trying to figure out how to get him a nice husband. Clearly, the male sharks are going to find him hot. Alastor even becomes an uncle to a lot of the little kids, also being trusted enough to babysit now and again. Especially with the clean, highly oxygenated, water in his bayou.
Baby girl hatches to a bunch of aunties and uncles and cousins. She's able to go to the lower Rings and is sent there occasionally to play with other Hellborn children while he gets a break. He watches over the other kids multiple times to give their poor mothers a break.
Her name is Alienor, for mercy. And to match Alastor.
She has a helmet like head with a screen face. Three metal parts on her face that look kinda like fins and kinda like prongs. The ones on either side of her face, attached from her cheekbone area, protect and conceal her transmitter and receiver antennas. While the one in the center looks like a nose and also the dorsal fin, acts like the ampullae of Lorenzini that sharks have (a biological electromagnetic antenna of jelly and fat). Dark grey, almost black, skin. Blue-white fur on her arms, legs, and back, to match Alastor's black fur patterns, that seemed to glow. Born with stubble of optical fiber; little dots on the ends of barely there transparent strands that were a glowing blue-white. The lower body of a deer with the tail of the thresher shark. The tail was 5 feet long. And she was already rolling herself over and trying to get her legs under her. Like a fawn.
"You know. Thresher sharks are supposed to be hatched while still in the mother and born live. But uh, I understand why your body couldn't handle that. She's seven feet long, and you're nine feet tall?"
"I'm very thankful I didn't have to give birth to that. She's already as tall as her sperm donor."
"Yeah. Uh. And her actual main body is probably going to be as tall as, or taller, than yours. Cause she's a female shark. And thresher are pretty long, her tail is already as long as a Common Thresher pup's body. And they get up to 20 feet long. That is not even touching that fact that she might have your kaiju form. Or the fact that she's not just a thresher, but mix of shark traits from different species. I think she has the venomous spines of a Dogfish shark. And she has bioluminescence. Like, she has so many different shark features, it feels like someone tried to create the ultimate killer."
"Well Lee, we'll just have to see where this leads us. Would you do me the honor of being my daughter's godfather?"
"O-oh. I'm going to be real with you: I'm going to cry."
"Okay? That's still not an answer."
"Of fu- of course! Of course I'll be her Godfather."
"Nice catch. And good. You get to give her her middle name."
"Uh. Dah-dang, I wish ya asked me sooner. I could have looked for some good baby names!"
"Just say the first thing off the top of your head."
"Megan."
"Oh har har, you already have dad jokes? Going to call her Meg, for Megalodon? Huh, Finley?" Alastor was giving the Hammerhead a shit eating grin, already writing Megan down after Aliénor.
"Ha! No." Lee wiped his eyes from tears with one arm, while still cradling the fawn/pup in the other. "It means 'little pearl'. Prescious treasure. Beautiful and rare beyond all value. The tears of nymphs, mermaids, and Aphrodite. Or Venus, if you want to go Roman."
Alastor looks at him in surprise. Lee can't help but be flushed at the attention. He knows that Alastor isn't in the know of why the name was so important. Finley could only tell part of the reason.
"It's an old name for us. For the aquatic type Hellborn. While Succubus, Incubus, and Concubus all want to be associated with Lilith's beauty, the aquatic type Hellborn tend to favor Lucifer. The morning star. The planet Venus. Inhuman beauty. One of God's most beautiful creations. Who was strong and cunning. Could make you the most faithful believer in God, or turn you away from that light with his own brilliance. Temptation, damnation, and the one to rule above us all here in Hell."
For now, this was all he would reveal. He wasn't brave enough yet to tell Alastor the other reason the name was so important.
"That's- beautiful." Alastor's voice was hushed. His eyes and smile soft. "Thank you."
"No. Thank you. For kidnapping me. For letting me help. For becoming part of our community and family. For this." He gestures towards the baby sleeping in his arms, tail dragging on the floor.

Alastor and his giant baby girl!
my honest opinion
Nah, don't worry about it
