Expired & Mommy Charlie Crossover AU
Canon Alastor was sent back in time when this AU Charlie was accidentally summoned by cultists. The spell pulled him along with her.
Seeing a younger Charlie was startling enough, but nothing could’ve prepared him for the sight of his infant self—dead on the altar, offered as a sacrifice.
This Charlie was just a college student, way too overwhelmed by the gruesome scene to register the other demon in the room. She sobbed as she cradled the tiny corpse, tears streaming down her face. Only when a hand touched her shoulder did she realize she wasn’t alone.
Somehow, the summoning ritual had brought him here too. Alastor took charge, examining the infant. It was indeed him—or had been. Feeling a strange sense of responsibility as the only adult present, he comforted Charlie and assured her this wasn’t her fault. The cultists’ recklessness had caused this tragedy, not her.
Charlie had no idea who this stranger was, but she clung to him anyway. He was the only lifeline she had in this nightmare.
After they buried the baby in a makeshift grave—and the cultist lair mysteriously burned in green fire—they managed to return to Hell. But the moment they arrived, the infant’s soul materialized in Charlie’s arms. They both understood immediately: she owned him now.
Charlie burst into fresh tears. The baby was now a sinner, eternally bound to Hell with no chance to grow up. She collapsed to her knees, clutching him, apologizing over and over. This was her fault. He was damned because of her.
Alastor watched, his hands trembling. His infant self from another timeline had been robbed of life and freedom by power-hungry fanatics.
And this younger Charlie?
She wasn’t crying for herself—she was crying for a kid who lost everything before he could even have anything.
Before he could speak, Charlie stood up, determination blazing in her eyes.
“No. I won’t let this happen.” Power radiated from her as the soul chain manifested into reality. “I won’t own him.”
The contract appeared before her. She grasped the bond between them and began reshaping it through sheer will.
“I won’t be his owner.” The contract started glowing and shifting. “I will be his mother.”
The room exploded in warm, brilliant light.
The baby began to transform, taking on deer-like features—small nubby horns, red hair fading to black at the tips. Most surprisingly, the distinctive red cheek marks of the Morningstar family appeared on his face.
When the light faded, he yawned—a perfectly normal baby sound—and snuggled contentedly against her warmth.
Charlie held him close, exhausted but filled with wonder. He wasn’t a full sinner anymore, nor quite a hellborn demon. He was like her—someone who could grow up, who had a future.
“Hi there, Alastor,” she whispered, pressing a kiss to his tiny forehead. “I’m Charlie. I’m your mom now. And I love you. More than anything in any realm.”
Charlie was crying happy tears, and meanwhile Alastor’s jaw was on the floor. This Charlie had just straight-up adopted him—well, baby him—without even thinking twice. Something deep inside him just... cracked. Emotions he couldn’t even name were hitting him all at once.
Right then and there, he decided: yeah, he was sticking around to see how this played out.
When the dust settled, Alastor introduced himself as Alistair (since “Alastor” was now taken by the tiny guy). He offered to be Charlie’s nanny. I mean, she was a busy college student and a brand new mom—she could probably use some pointers, right?
Charlie was suspicious at first. Why would some random demon just volunteer to help her? Sure, they got summoned together by accident, but this whole thing felt sketchy. Also, why did this guy and her baby look like they could be related? Seriously, they looked so alike he could’ve been the dad.
But here’s the thing—she was completely out of her depth. She had no idea how to mom. Luckily, Alistair actually came through. He taught her everything: diaper changes, bottle prep, laundry, housework, how to balance a crazy schedule while keeping a baby alive...
The guy was a total lifesaver. Honestly, she didn’t know what she’d do without him.
When he asked about her parents, she admitted they’d been ghosting her calls and basically ignoring her existence. He literally gasped like he’d just witnessed the worst crime ever, and then disappeared for a few days.
Things got a bit rough without him, but thankfully he’d taught her enough to handle things on her own. A few days later, her mom came bursting into her dorm room, crying and hugging her, while Alistair dragged her dad in behind her with his shadow tentacles, squeezing him like a rubber duck.
Her parents were finally there—full of apologies for ignoring her, gushing about how brave and loving she was, and ready to meet their new grandson.
Charlie was thrilled that Alistair got them to come. But seriously, how did he pull that off?
What the hell happened during those few days?
And why were her parents giving him such weird looks?
I don't really have anything to add to this other then that I loved it!
Oh, actually - I can imagine Alastor refusing to change his name but allowing her to call him 'Al'!
I'm glad Charlie gets parental support this time! Three times over, hee.
Also, I think they might eventually realise something is odd with how similar look Alastor and baby!Alastor are, and how he ended up at the summoning too - and figure he might be, yes, the baby's relative, and that's why he was brought there.
