Just a little log, ive read "Batman/Green arrow/The question: arcadia" and "Batman/Deadpool"
For Arcadia i love how they got these 3 together since their dynamic is gonna be really interesting and leathal (2 intelligent as hell individuals and 1 leathaly accurate and practical on the field is a deadly team) also they're all one of my favorite characters in DC and i always wanted to read more of GA and The question, i also love how political it is (i mean come on its got GA and The question its gotta be) and how they portray this ver of batman who's a bit selfish for lack of better word and extremely skeptical (which i would say is how i see batman being before a robin and when gotham started to get intense and more insane and dangerous)
And when i say skeptical and selfish i mean to the extreme like the kind of i dont believe something i dont see even if my fellow leaguers said they did, i think some would say its a tad bit out of character but i think its just dialing up the "i work alone" mindset, and its interesting to see characters go with a certain approach/idea/mindset and just following it through, having always the same composition for character will make it boring and dull.
Thats the kind of selfish and jerk attitude i was talking about with batman.
Yes his identity might have been exposed by that man, but still he had no right to do oliver dirty and he should've believed them and helped right away (which he does later in the comic btw)
As for Batman/Deadpool i read the marvel one will read the DC one soon (especially with dan mora's art its such eye candy), this comic was so funny, its literally just Deadpool bwing himself and i love how meta it is 😂
Like i didn't not see a comment about nightwing's butt coming 😂
And joker saying "neurospicy" knocked me off, i can see him saying it, its so him
Again with the meta stuff, the way Deadpool just explains batman and joker "relationship" in one bubble is just so peak and funny 😂
And a really nice ending, just batman being his typical tsundre self, and Deadpool being Deadpool while having joker venom.
Some things I've noticed in TADC and just some cool stuff
First of all the "i have no mouth and i must scream" references that are all over eps 8 and right on the nose, which was a nice fan service from glitch since it was the most thing people were talking about in the comments ( AM and how cain is gonna be like him etc)
The line from the short story
Also this XD, i was smiling from ear to ear when i heard the song
Also there's a theory that my brother (@sasoridoll on insta) thought of, that pomni isn't human and that she was created by the other AI to counter cain, he said if you look closely no one has anything to do with the circus in terms of appearance except cain and pomni, and it also makes sense why she's the one really determined to fight back and escape while the others have given up most times then she helps them not to.
The problem is pomni have talked about her real life before she wore the headset that she likes to discover abandoned places and such, this got me thinking are these real memories? Or are they the ones that they fed to the blue AI in the beginning of eps 8, cuz they didn't show us what was that, so me and my brother think that the blue AI was the more human-like AI and whatever that yellow-green ish thing they fed it has something to do with the "human nature"
Also i think that the memories pomni talked about were the thing that they fed to the blue AI, i think what C&A started doing with the blue one is feeding it just random human experience and memories so it can become more human, rather than just random photos and inputs that aren't related like what they did with cain, so it wont go rouge and it has more depth.
Also in eps 8 something also backed this theory up which was this scene
This implies that somehow cain sees pomni is the most relatable/human, meaning that pomni could actually be something that the blue AI created
Also pomni had the most powerful conjuring out of all of them, she literally conjured an exit door, the fact that she's this powerful cant be a coincidence.
Also the scene when kinger opens the characters files then the AIs you'll see theres an AI file next to cain thats named "?", if this is the blue one then he's still in the game, he can control and influence things still.
And people who are saying that bubble is the blue AI i dont think thats true not only cuz it would be too on the nose but if that was the case we would've seen her in the beginning of eps 8 where we see scratch, kinger and queeni and all the others, she did roast cain tho and said "you really were the lesser of the two", so i think bubble is an extension or intermediary of the blue AI not the AI himself, since technically cain created bubbles, so maybe the blue AI got a chance to sneek a bit of himself in bubbles, since blue is inside cain.
And judging by how the short story for IHNMAIMS ends, im almost sure that pomni will sacrifice herself for the others to get out, even glitch said that it wont be a happy ending or that it'll be bittersweet idk which one exactly but definitely not happy.
Now for things that im not really sure about and just wondering about
These cards were in eps 8 when cain was singing
This is cain's office door in eps 7
Now kinger being a moon and being on the red door make sense, he created cain.
But why is Jax there too on the blue one?
Also does the sun above mean something?
Ok dammit i reached the end for photos here.
What about the flashbacks that jax saw before pressing the button in eps 7, why is jax so afraid to go back to real life, what was going on there, was he going to die? Like scratch and his tumor? was he something important and morally high but the things that he said and done in the circus Diminished that moral highness?
Idk im just throwing ideas and questions here
The cupcake scene split in half and red and blue sprinkles on it with kinger saying "he was trying to make something (about scratch)" definitely mean something but i couldn't think of something specefic, like he was trying to make a failsafe?
The failsafe for cain is the blue AI and pomni
Oh one last fun fact, in the console i think that kinger of course opened the old files so no one is there except him and ragtha and we see the date that ragtha joined the game which was 2008.
Thats all, hope you had fun reading, leave your theories in the comments would love to discuss and theorize.
Im gonna share some panels i liked in the comics i read these past weeks
Starting off with "Sonic x DC" , this was such a blast to read, the team ups are just perfect and sonic and flash racing is something i always thought of as a fan for both.
Seeing it as an official comic from the two comic companies I love most was so surreal.
And im so glad that they got Ian Flynn & Adam Bryce Thomas to make this collabe, the artstyle and dialogs are just prefect.
Like look at this!
Hello the coloring and shading and the dynamic poses!!?
And these two being edge lords together and being dramatic is just *cheff kiss* perfect.
Oh and they both ride their bikes too, being the badass edge lords they are.
Then we have some panels from "Brave and the Bold (2007)"
Specifically issue #3
Whenever batman and blue beetle (Jaime) team up its always funny as hell, not only cuz jaime always think out loud but also the fangirling he does whenever he's around him.
And can we just appreciate how wholesome this is (context batman was frozen so blue beetle turned on his heaters)
Tbh whenever they team up it makes me wanna see how it will be if blue beetle was part of the batfam, not necessarily a robin or something like that, but batman's partner.
Kinda like how ted kord was close with batman in the old stories
This comic was such a breath of fresh air, finally seeing batman being a normal person, batman (in my opinion) isn't always doom and gloom and brooding 24/7, i think he only became that way after Jason's death and went to a dark place but even then it wasn't permenant, and he shouldn't be only that.
Imo this comic showed the definitive ver of batman that i always wanted to see, not too serious but not too campy, but the perfect modern silver age batman.
Always wanted to see a batman that can take a joke and laugh and smile (ik there's a lot of comics out there that does this but its still little compared to the doom and gloom ver)
And can we appreciate how good bats and GL look in the cowboy style
Batman and Green lantern (and why i love these two so much and they're the perfect polar opposites)
Disclaimer: this is a casual mini essay , and its my personal opinion and view on the characters
first of all I'd like to breakdown the characters which is something i really love doing lets start with hal
hal jordan aka green lantern a kid that saw his dad jet explode in front of him , but didn't make that stop him and grew to be a pilot himself (which is a profound difference than batman , hal had courage and moved on and didn't "choose" to be something like a superhero rather just not let his past rule over him (which is so cool and already sets the whole "willpower" thing for when he gets the ring and becomes gl))
then came abin sur with the whole ship crashing thing (nice parallel , ik its an alien and space thing but still) and surprises hal with this duty\role and gives him the ring , and over time hal becomes the greatest and most powerful green lantern , he's guided by will , he has knowledge and he's smart , sure he prefers action first rather than talking or thinking of doing (his S is so dominant) but he's still smart enough and good on his feet in the field to adapt with and tactically remove threats. which is why he might be hotheaded for lack of a better word but he's not reckless, he acts first but he calculates the alternatives and consequences as he's doing the action. that's why we see in many of his comics that he acts quick and people always try to make him slow down or say things like "do you know what you're doing?" , but the fact is he's adaptable and he's very resourceful and got more willpower than any lantern would wish for which saves his life multiple times , that's why i love seeing hal escape impossible situations and escape death in ways i never expected , which is basically the core of the green lanterns in some way , the ring makes constructs based on the user so its totally up to the user's imagination , which is such a cool concept and one that's so expandable and can make many stories and scenarios.
Bruce Wayne aka batman, the dark knight himself , we know the classic story young Bruce is out of the theater and joe chill comes and kill both his parents in front of him and the boy is there horrified and shocked , Bruce is haunted by his past and unlike hal who gets his strength from willpower and courage , Bruce used fear cuz he himself was afraid as a kid and used that to instill fear in the heart of criminals especially since batman says that gotham criminals are "Criminals are a superstitious, cowardly lot" which i totally agree with, and Bruce didn't move on from his trauma and past he let it define him , shape him and it was the thing that made batman. also i hate the "batman is the man and Bruce is the mask" its so stupid and doesn't make sense since it will literally defy everything that made batman batman.
why i love these two together and their friendship
let's talk about their friendship first then the differences , batman and green lantern when they first met they hated each other since they're polar opposites of each other and both are stubborn as hell , batman thought green lantern to be ignorant and reckless and green lantern thought batman to be an arrogant lil shit (which are reasonable povs from each tbh , it would kinda be the first impression if you don't get to know them well , batman with the whole "ik everything" attitude and GL with the whole stubbornness and act first think later) that being said they both slowly but surely know that there's more to each one of them than they thought , they slowly build up respect for each other and start to ask for help in each one's special field, later on batman starts to respect the shit of hal , there's a panel where he says to simon that "he's no hal jordan " , which shows you just how much batman respects him.
i would say that the top 4 batman respects is supes, wonder woman , flash barry allen and GL hal jordan (ofc there's ted kord which is kinda the old school batman bsf after supes , also GA is a good friend to batman especially cuz of their similarities ) but these top 4 i would say that batman reach to first in the JL , and the most thing i love about their friendship is that it feels real , grounded and realistic , how their dynamic and friendship is written is so good , the conflicts the slow building friendship and respect , they even lost respect and broke up a couple of times then build it up back again and made amens , just like irl which is rare to see in- not necessarily written media but its something that either doesn't end well or doesn't live long but so far i see many writers write these two like that and i love it. here's the panel where batman and GL make amens and end it well , after the whole situation when hal became parallax.
Their polar differences
GL uses willpower ik we've established that many times , but he also uses it to fight "fear" , and fear is the most dangerous thing that can corrupt a GL and even cause their death. batman on the other hand literally weaponizes fear , see the problem here? that's why they collide and have conflict so much , they're literally on opposing sides with their whole situation , hal sees Bruce as a coward for not moving on from his past (at first) then he tried to help him to overcome his trauma by using his ring but then batman refused and said that its basically what fuels him and created batman and he's afraid that he'll lose batman when he puts on that ring , so batman is in this endless suffering loop cuz of is vow\oath and his commitment to the mission is obsessive and toxic , but no one will force him and he actually did good to gotham and many people both as batman and Bruce Wayne.
so hal just respected his decision but they both realized how they're both messed up , there's a panel i need to put it , it basically summarizes their relationship and the fact that they bond over trauma is both sad and wholesome.
oh right and hal calling batman spooky as a nickname is my fav , the fandom really digs it too , thank you for the person who came up with it.
