I do find it funny that a DisneyToon special would use the same recycle method that the company had to do with their movies during the 60s and 70s.
House of Mouse was way better than what's basically a clip show had any right to be. Ever watch the first episode? That sh*ts hilarious.
A Subway Twins/Pokémon: Legends Arceus AU I had that I sent to someone once and recently found again. I thought it was funny.
AU where certain pokemon characters are basically just the legendaries D&D characters, and pretty much every Pokemon game is the legendaries having a D&D session (except the rest of the pokemon world is real. They also don't cause the drama/plot, most of the legends actually really just want to do boring sh*t because being amazing legendaries with wild adventures is normal, and therefore boring to them)

Reshiram and Zekrom made Emmet and Ingo (duh)
The reason Ingo ends up in Hisui is that Zekrom heard about the Hisui campaign and wanted to help/play, but Reshiram didn't.
The regular people are so confused about why Emmet isn't worried about Ingo going missing.
Akari and Dawn are Giratina's characters. Giratina just likes being a chaos child.
Ash is Arceus' character, and isn't involved in Hisui because Arceus has to DM, so he can't run around being Ash.
Irida is not Palkia's Hisui character, she's actually Mespirit's, while Adaman is Azelf's.
Uxie is actually Zisu, which is why she can teach all those moves.
Cogita is not a character, but is one of the few humans who knows what's going on, and thinks it's hilarious.
Baggin is Palkia's character.
Melli is Dialga's.

You know what I want from the potential legends Galar game?
Train twins ancestors.
They're building a railroad or some sort of battle facility.
They're funny folk.
They're either related to or directly are the original heroes of Galar, the ones who helped Zacian and Zamazenta... Which means they're distantly related to Swoardward and Shieldbert.
Oh the chaos that would sow!
(Even funnier would be if their ancestors are also named Emmet and Ingo, their outfits look almost exactly the same, and it's mentioned that Ancestor Ingo got grabbed by a distortion for a while before returning-- basically Nintendo implying that the Ingo in Hisui was actually a ancestor, not future Ingo. Future Ingo never having gone missing, the battle Subway just shutting down for upgrades to allow things like Z-moves and Mega evolution on the trains.)
This would obviously never happen, but the concept is just so stinking funny to me. What do you mean PLA Ingo was secretly a British dude of the same name?! What do you mean the black and white twins aren't related to the Unovan twin heros?!! What do you mean that the train twins are related to Swoardward and Shieldbert!?!!

Ok, if it is fanon that the twins watch Polar Express year-round, then I think Elesa should get to watch Muppet Christmas Carol year round, because it has some of the most time period-accurate fashion of any movie ever.
No, seriously, look it up, there's tons of videos on YouTube of people losing their absolute minds over this. And Elesa is a model, fashion is her thing!
(Plus, just the thought of pokemon-ified Muppets is hilarious to me. Do you think Miss Piggy is from the Emboar line or the Grumpig line? Kermit is obviously a politoed. And Gonzo is still a... Whatever he is...)

Context:
So I went on a texting rant to a friend about how Ingo in PLA isn't actually as old as people make him out to be, and how there's no possible way he could have been in Hisui longer than two years at Maximum (not even getting into that the concept art has two X's because of course that's how they're going to put the years, it's a mystery! Those X's can be any number including zero, come on people) and how he just looks old because his hair is naturally silver, he can't shave easily (you try using a knife when you used a razor your whole life), and he is a New Yorker who has been robbed of caffeine and forced to sleep on the ground surrounded by things that are constantly trying to kill him...
Well anyway my friend didn't answer because they were probably asleep, but I took the liberty of grabbing Ingo's official art and a shot of his in game model and giving him a shave and getting him a full night's sleep in an actual bed to get rid of those eye bags.
Ta-da!
PS: Don't fight me on this, you're not going to convince me that the twins deserve to be separated any longer than they have to be. You can have your opinion and I can have mine.

What if the main goal of every pokemon game wasn't to become the champion, but to become the battle facility head?
All the other battle facilities: Complete all the challenges and beat the other heads! Ah ha! You have won against me! Congratulations you are now in charge of running this facility!
The Battle Subway: Beat the battle Subway, go home, complete Highschool, apply for college, complete College-oops,didn't get the appropriate degree?-Go back to college, complete college again, apply at the subway, get the lowest rank job, train your caboose off, slowly move up the ranks, finally apply for the subway master position, hope you are qualified enough, realize this job is 60% paperwork, 45% Trains, 5% pokemon, Wonder why ten year old you couldn't just try to become champion instead. Cry when the current subway bosses kick your *ss. Go home and think about your life.
All this to say that I bet Palmer over in Sinnoh doesn't even have a GED.
So I've wanted to do this for a while, and I finally got around to it!
I designed pokemon versions of the twins based on railroad crossings and safety features. I also came up with a cool ability for them and evolution method. I also made up stats for their fully evolved forms, but those are up for debate because I don't play competitive.
Anyway Here's the boys!
Whisrail: The train whistle pokemon
Whisrail love to hang around train yards and stations. They use their uniquely shaped head to mimic the sound of a train whistle. They are easily excitable, but also very focused on safety. If you hear a train whistle out in the wild, it's likely a hidden whisrail warning you of danger.
Type: Steel/Normal
Forms: Single stripe form and double stripe form
Evolution method: Have both a single stripe form and a double stripe form in your party and level them up to level 32
Railert: The Train Horn pokemon
Railert are most happy when they are directing traffic. People, pokemon, or even vehicles, they strive to keep everything moving and running in a timely manner. They use their glowing faces as traffic signals. Railert can make a noise similar to a train horn, but loud enough to be heard over twenty miles away. Fortunately they will always warn people before doing so.
Type: Steel/Normal
Forms: Single stripe form and double stripe form
Evolution method: You need to have a Railert of both forms in your party and increase their friendship. Increasing friendship with the single stripe form will cause the double stripe form to evolve, and vice versa. This can still be done after one has fully evolved.
Railarm: The Train Safety Pokemon
Railarm are obsessed with the safety of both people and pokemon. You never see a Railarm without another of the opposite form. Railarm work in tandem to make sure all safety procedures are being followed. They are quick to protect even those stronger than them. Seeing a lone Railarm is a cause for concern, as it means that there is a big enough crisis going on that they willingly separated from their partner. Railarm can produce sound waves strong enough to blast holes in solid steel.
Type: Steel/Normal
Forms: Single stripe form and double stripe form
Ability: High Alert
All sound based moves receive a fifty percent boost and now will cause flinching 30% of the time. All sound based moves will also clear sleep and confusion from all surrounding pokemon on the field.
Stats: HP-110 / Atk-60 / Def-120 / SpAtk-75 / SpDef-120 / Speed-60
They're meant to function as walls rather than attackers.

I swear, some Jedi's preferred form of moving meditation is just playing space bejeweled on their holo-com.
The funniest thing about the fanon idea that Drayden is the one who raised the train twins, is that Drayden went "I'm going to train my kids to be the best like no one ever was, and I'll be able to pass my gym on to them" only he trained them TOO well, and this happened not once, not twice, but THREE WHOLE TIMES (if you include Iris, and why wouldn't you?)
I imagine Drayden getting the news that his kid(s) beat the champion or became battle facility heads, and he just sighs and goes "d*MN it! Not again! I've got to stop making my successors so obscenely powerful, I'll never retire at this rate!"
Shout out to @raliciel who posted a really cool piece of art pointing out that the Twins' Sprites from BW (Emmet's specifically) aren't expressive like their BW2 ones.

Their Art made me think about how the Twins were actually designed, and what part of their features actually registered them as 'Emmet and Ingo' rather than two random dudes, especially when drawing fanart and such (and also what made them stick in the mind so well).
It can't just be the smile and frown, because they're still identifiable without them. Can't just be the sideburns either, because everyone has a different opinion on how to draw those too.
I can't figure it out, but I did go in and cannibalize the twins actual art to alter what I think are the initial stand out features to be more generic and see what it did.

Ok, but hear me out...
Usually when people write a Warden Emmet thing they put him as the warden for either A) Sneasler, B) Electrode, or C) Braviary
Which are all fun and valid options.
But, like, what if Emmet was appointed Basculegion's warden instead?
Either Iscan is injured after saving Paulina in the storm that killed the original Lord Arcanine, or someone finally took pity on the poor man and decided he needed a way less stressful job near less ghosts, and so Emmet gets appointed.
Emmet vaguely recognizes basculegion as both familiar and not, and likely runs around terrorizing the F out of the local pokemon.
He and Paulina would most likely have a similarly antagonistic relationship as Ingo with Melli, seeing as Paulina would be pissed Emmet replaced her boyfriend, and Emmet would likely be confused about Paulina not working with Growlithe to get stronger.
(Paulina has a point about not trying to push Growlithe to get over his trauma, but she's also not providing her dog with any actual help with his issues, and I suspect she is subconsciously doing so just to spite Irida, seeing as she's shocked Growlithe would go to rescue his friend at all. Growlithe pair bond, you should know this, why are you surprised? Also why are you not helping your dog get through his fear of water when you're required to live by the water?)
Everyone in the coastlands needs some form of therapy.
Anyway, I think going out to get Basculegion's help and getting jumped by Emmet as soon as you knock on his door would be hilarious. Sudden difficulty spike! It'd be neat if he actually had you battle Basculegion to test if you're worthy or not.
He would probably actually help you on the Manaphy quest too... Instead of having to just guess you need to look at a book in BDSP for what pokemon you need, and then looking it up online anyway.
Pets and mental health:
If you have depression get a cat.
Those whiny little bastards(affectionate) will not give you a moments peace if you haven't fed/pet/played/ whatever with them where and when they want it. It's a whole lot easier to get up and do things when the reward is your small furry hellion stops punching you in the face and becomes goop in your lap instead.
If you have anxiety get a dog.
Dogs don't give a flying f*ck who you are socially or what you look like, they're made of love and happiness. A dog is a relatively simple creature who asks for very few things in return for unconditional love. They're always happy to see you and it's nice to turn your brain off and just chill with your warm fuzzy buddy who isn't going to demand anything but pets and head scritches.
Now, to be fair this all depends on the person and the animals, but I feel like I made my case.
(Note: Pets are NOT a substitute for medication, that's not fair to you or them. If you suspect you have mental health issues go to a doctor)

The Togepi line were weirdly hard to photograph.
Small Egg absolutely, positively didn't want to stand anywhere close to Ingo for some reason, so I couldn't get any shots with it and it's Big sister. Alpha togetic passed out immediately and wouldn't wake up. And Alpha Togekiss decided personal space was subjective.
