wrapping up another chapter

I spend enough time joking and downplaying, but it’s time to be real for a moment. Belle and I have been at this blog for a little over a year now, and it’s really been great. You wouldn’t believe the development, the progress I’ve seen in Belle’s character since we made the move here. You wouldn’t believe the wonderful people I’ve met, and the friends I’ve made, and the experiences I’ve had as a writer. It’s really been great, and now I’m taking another step forward by moving her to her own account, like it was in the beginning.

I appreciate everyone, partners and audience alike, and you guys should know that I wouldn’t be here without you all. Thank you to everyone who’s given me a chance here, and thank you to everyone who keeps Belle happy and alive.

This account was officially made an archive on March 13th (yes, I know, I’m a little late in this formal announcement but my little black heart runs from heart-to-hearts, haha). Her new account, with the same old url, is where we’ll be from here on out, along with Lacey. I encourage all of you to follow us over there and and keep the story flowing.

Sorry I’ve been a bit absent, guys. I’ve been getting the new blog ready. I think I’m going to move Belle sometime today as long as things go well. I’ll make the announcement and post a promo when it’s officially done, though, so you guys will know when it happens. I hope to see you guys there!

She seemed to sigh with relief when he finished his question and he frowned, not really sure why. Until he thought it through and realized what other guys might have done and what he’d probably sounded like. She’d probably thought him a total creep. He felt very much like an idiot now, but really that had been the last thing on his mind. He just didn’t want to be alone and he wanted to get to know the person he was ninety percent was going to be his co-star. That was it, pure and simple. But she hadn’t known that. He was just glad that she could tell it now because really he did not want to cause her any discomfort in any way shape or form if he could help it.

So when she stopped blushing and seemed to get a bit more confidence his smiled widened just a bit more. She was starting to relax around him, which was a very good thing. It was what he wanted. A co-worker, not a star-struck fan. “Mediterranean sounds great,” he told her with a smile. After all, if things went well they’d probably get to try out every different type of restaurant that they wanted. That is if she wanted to grab a bite to eat with him after work some nights. One could hope at least. “Are you okay with taking my car? I know what they say about strangers being dangerous and all, but I promise I’m not about to take you to some alleyway and kill you. There’s too great a chance of the paparazzi’s catching it all on camera.”

Her own smile grew, eyes crinkling. After suggesting Mediterranean food, she wondered if it might have seemed too random. A gyro had just sounded very good in that instant, and truly, still did. 

Had she been anyone else, she might have found him questionable after a statement like the one that followed his offer to take his car. Eyebrows lifting a little, she tucked her smile between her teeth, but her quiet amusement still glittered in her eyes. She really couldn’t object to taking his car; she could, but it might crimp their plans. Belle didn’t have her own transportation and taking him on a city bus was not an idea that shimmered with brilliance. Walking would only work if the restaurant was nearby. Belle thought it was simplest if she just agreed to let him drive them there. It wasn’t as though there was any danger in it. None that she could imagine, anyway. He seemed to be someone she could trust, even if they had just met. Even if it could be called a leap of faith, it would be a tiny one. “I hear they’re difficult to pay off, too, when they know they’ve got something juicy like, for instance, a hollywood murder scandal,” she played along, nodding casually. “You have plenty of reasons to behave yourself. I think I’ll take my chances and ride with you in your car. Unless you think we could walk,” she suggested halfheartedly.

How long had it been?  A few months maybe; perhaps longer. He didn’t usually think about those times after they were done and gone. Sins like those were difficult to hold onto. They weren’t really anything he liked to hold onto anyhow. 

“Please..” He broke the silence in the church. His hand rubbing over the black trousers. “I-I can’t..” She was beautiful; The angel hiding behind his eyes. Her hand pressed over his. Each time he pushed his palm over his bulge. Joseph could almost feel her there. Even hear her soft whispers in his ear. 

She was coaxing him and he was following. The devil could have been behind it and he didn’t care. Undoing his pants and taking out his cock. He gasped gripping himself there in the church. Sitting in pew with his bible seated next to him. “Shite..” He moaned noticing the rosary beads still wrapped around his right want. 

Cool to the touch and yet adding to the moment. “F-forgive me.” Father MacAvoy pleaded. Thinking nothing of the church or anything around him.

Joseph didn’t wish Belle swept up in any scandal. There was already enough at his state now. A woman to add to the problems would be unreasonable. Which might lead to worse than shameful talk around his parish. “You are not causing me any trouble.” He told her. “I just do not wish to cause you any.” All he needed was the wrong person to see them. Then have them approach Belle without care.

“Y-yes, that would be best.” Father MacAvoy shuddered at the thought. Of his friend breaking down at the accusations, or worse. 

“I’m sorry to tell you not much has changed around here.” Joseph informed as they moved along. Hoping that would not lessen her journey. “I know this wasn’t much of a place to visit before.” He assumed. Trying to meet her steps as they went along. His hands clasped tightly behind his back. Afraid that letting them go would only cause the priest to reach out for the woman. If only to hold her hand in comfort.

“That’s quite alright,” she told him airily as she drew in a breath. “I don’t think I saw much of it when I was last here. I was too distracted.” She blinked and brought their surroundings into focus, and for a moment she did wonder if anyone had noticed the two of them, and what that would have meant for Joseph. “Which, I will have you know, is highly unusual.” Though it wasn’t effortless, she managed a joking smile, which she sent him as she looked his way. 

Goodness, it was as though she had been living without seeing, in those days. Or perhaps she simply went through each day with a clearer perspective, now. But she thought she perhaps had a glimpse of what Joseph found so drab about the city, since returning. She didn’t see it quite that way, but perhaps that was her ability to see the brighter side of most things.

     Eyes steeled, Belle watched her with equal measures of wariness and displeasure. She would rather the woman left and took the brittle heaviness in the air with her, but she didn’t feel she could demand her to leave. Not yet, at least. And while she didn’t particularly want Cora anywhere near her husband, she was no one to deny the woman the right to speak to him. Belle only hoped no harm would come to Rumple. With a reluctant nod, “As you wish.”

Oh, they’d completely skipped that bit, hadn’t they? He felt like such an idiot. If he hadn’t been drunk surely he would have remembered to tell her his name. This was why he really needed to stop his drinking. At least she didn’t seem to be that upset about it. She seemed rather amused by it really, which helped him relax. It couldn’t be such a bad thing, if it made her smile like that. He was starting to realize that almost anything was worth it to see her smile. Which was a very drunken, unpriestly thing to think. “I’m Joseph,” he answered, compelled to give his first name since that’s what she’d had done. Until he remembered he ought to be going by his more professional name. “I mean Father McAvoy,” he corrected. “It’s nice to meet you. I mean… well we’ve already met,” he murmured, feeling his cheeks finally flush. “But it’s nice to… you know… know your name and stuff.”

She’d stopped eating, simply focusing on him as he spoke. He was so unsure of himself, and so timid, but there wasn’t a mean bone in his body, she was sure. Of course, she didn’t know this man, but she couldn’t see anything in him so far that would tell her otherwise. A small smile shaped her lips as he corrected himself, widening into a bright grin as he kept on and rambled. A giggle peeled from her lips and she nodded in agreement. She even went so far as to extend a hand to him across the way. “It’s nice to meet you, Father Joseph MacAvoy.” He had embarrassed himself, so she could meet him halfway and make a wee bit of a fool of herself, too. She didn’t mind at all. He was so gentle and kind, and he was making her smile -- genuinely smile -- more than she had in a very long time.
