Many miniature clouds descended from the sky, their mission: Spread happiness. The swablu coo and chirp as they nuzzle their way into a blanket of soft fluff. After a few excited minutes of them forcing you into a cuddle. The coup de grâce comes when their mamma, Altaria, descends, there will be no escape from her warm cloudy embrace. She isn't without gifts either, around her neck is a small leather satchel filled to the brim with sweets and treats for you to partake in at your leisure.

-- Though her initial reaction was to panic and try to swat the pokemon away, there was something about them that calmed her, slowing her heart rate and seemingly erasing the worries from her mind. There was something about the pokemon... maybe it was how fluffy they were; perhaps the gentle hum they sang to her.

-- Even when the larger cloud approached she did not recoil as she normally would, instead actively reaching out and petting it before noticing the pouch.

-- She had never been to Unova before, so stepping off the plane, Ahri didn't know what to expect. Right off the bat she could tell it was so much more different than Kanto and Johto, she was even willing to say it was nothing like Kalos either, but she had only been there once.

-- The sign read Mistralton City, but even by Kanto standards it was pretty small. It looked like more of a town to her, but with a market that sold fresh veggies (some grown right by the airstrip and others imported from other regions and towns) she couldn’t really complain. So with a snack of fresh baby carrots and grape tomatoes in tow, Ahri made her way to Castelia City, thankfully, by cab.

-- A few other students from her med degree program had also decided to venture to Unova to take up a month residence at Castelia City Medical Center, others decided to stay in Kanto or go to other regions, but her mother had always said that Unova had some of the best hospitals in the world, so it was an easy choice.

-- She did, however, forget what hotel they were suppose to be staying at. An easy fix (hopefully), but in looking for the Unovan program director her eyes caught on a name she hadn’t really thought about in at least a year.

-- Touya.

-- Her nose scrunched up a little, mostly because she had to look at the name through the cracks on her screen that he had caused and she had not been able to fix yet. Clicking on his name, she snorted at the rather unflattering contact photo she had snapped of him the last time they had seen each other. He still owed her food.

“Ah…” Well, this was an interesting situation. The Gym Leader was used to young trainers approaching him for advice about Pokémon…but a grass type…Still, what sort of role model would he be if he didn’t at least try?

“To be quite honest, Erika of Celadon City might be a better person to ask on this subject, but there are…some universals about Pokémon. For example, were you planning to battle with her, or simply to have her as a companion? There are a few subtle differences and…

…How about you come in and I will make some tea while we talk?” Already he was gesturing towards a door in the back of the Gym, which lead to a sort of living quarters.

-- To be frank, she hadn’t even thought of Erika. But she wasn’t in Kanto at the moment. On an extended visit to see her mother, she had stopped in the city and nervously stood near the gym for a good 15 minutes before actually walking inside.

-- Thankfully, the flying type specialist didn’t seem to mind too much.

-- “I don’t... Rika is my first pokemon, like.... ever. I didn’t even raise her, she was given to me as a bellossom.” The thought of tea perked her up however, and with a nod she followed the other into the back room, bellossom at her heels the whole way.”

Spritzee recoiled back, their feathers puffing in fear as they gazed up at the lady that suddenly made a scared noise. Gently, Sol stroked their aroma-scented body in order to calm them. Thankfully, that seemed to soothe the pokemon enough to relax.

“Who, Spritzee? They don’t eat people. The pokemon i’m more talking about would most likely stick to you, if anything. They’re called Pyukumyuku, and they’re known for crawling up from the shores after a while in the evening. What, did you not know that the beaches could be littered with them?” She looks at her again with a suspicious glance.

“…I assure you, again, Spritzee only eat fruit, not meat.”

-- Well that didn’t seem to quell her worries at all! The thought of some slimy pokemon sticking to her and slowly eating her flesh... well that was too much for her.

-- Vacation ruined. No more beach for her.

-- “How do people even do this. How--” She was at a loss for words. As she frantically started gathering her items from her sitting place, Rika moved closer to the other trainer, swaying side to side and smiling, albeit sadly. A gentle mist quaffed off the petals atop the pokemon’s head. Only when the mist hit her did the redhead calm down enough to actually find all her items.

-- “That might not, but I’ve seen plenty of pokemon in this region that could.”

It only ever seemed to be like this around the times when squads were sent out on missions. It was like everyone forgot how to do their jobs.

-- “The only person who would be privileged enough to have the capabilities to share that would be your commanding officer. So whoever is in charge of your department, whoever you report to. For example, I report directly to the boss himself. Someone who specializes in covert ops would most likely be under Petrel.”
