i cant stop thinking about this post so bad. cat named daniel
So I follow N. D. Stevenson (comics writer and animator, most famous for Nimona and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power) and his husband Lee Ostertag (also a comics writer and animator) on Instagram. When I started following them, they were both publicly presenting as women, and then a few years ago N. D. came out as transmasc nonbinary, and then earlier this year Lee also came out as transmasc. Anyway this is all setup to say that Lee had the chance to make the funniest post of all time and he took it:
Absolutely iconic.

What's everyone's favourite flowers that aren't like. The normal ones. Like everyone's a fan of roses and sunflowers what's a more niche one. One you don't get in gift sets. Mine's sweet peas
i am a native wildflower sucker, so these are some of my faves
^ California poppies are basically family to me
lupine in all its varieties, this specific one is mountain lupine and grows shrub-like
red clover, i would see it on roadsides rarely
amaranth flowers that i saw in a bridal bouquet and fell madly in love (not native to my area)
trillium! forest floors here in Michigan are carpeted with trillium, some pink too
canyon dudleya loved growing in the rocky crags where i grew up
columbine, which I'm certain I saw wild just once
and Chinese houses!
there is also a mysterious white, bell-shaped one that i never learned the name of. it grew from a bulb and i only recall seeing it a handful of times in 20yrs
Queen Ann's Lace and Chicory! I've always loved wildflowers, and edible flowers especially. Queen Ann's is also known as wild carrot and the root is similar in texture and flavor, and Chicory is commonly used to flavor coffee 🩵
