I like to believe that Rei meets [YourName] through Kazuki who met them through a parent-teacher conference.
Like, [YourName] was heading out and Kazuki was heading in and they make a quick conversation and exchanged numbers.
Kazuki invites them over for dinner
And that is how Rei meets [YourName]
Rei actually finds [YourName] quite attractive!
[YourName] secretly thinks the same, but just like Rei, doesn't say a word.
Eventually, though, Kazuki gives Rei [YourName]'s number because he was going out and their son and Miri had a play date.
Kazuki also wanted to see Rei socialize a lil.
With a lot of hesitation, Rei gets ready then gets Miri ready, and the two head toward the park.
Almost immediately, [YourName]'s son calls Miri out and that's how Rei and [YourName] find each other.
Rei apologizes that he isn't Kazuki and [YourName] is completely fine with it!
Rei just sits with [YourName] awkwardly at first, [YourName] waving toward the children every now and again.
Finally, [YourName] strikes up a conversation with Rei.
Surprisingly, it all comes naturally with Rei in how he replies!
Miri and [YourName]'s son see that the park is selling snowcones so Rei and [YourName] get up and follow the children toward the stand.
[YourName] and Rei both let Miri and their son pick out their flavors before [YourName] went to go pay.
Rei QUICKLY whipped out his card and paid, which made [YourName] fluster bc they meant to pay for everything- not Rei!
Rei just nods his head in acknowledgment but he knew he was slick with it! he knew what he was doing!
This is most definitely the way Rei is flirting with [YourName].
Rei mentions that he has [YourName]'s number, so he texts them, and don't think Rei missed how [YourName]'s face flushed slightly when they got the message.
It was just a natural reaction when someone attractive texts!
Eventually, the play date comes to an end and [YourName] takes their son and heads home alongside Miri and Rei heading back to their home.
Once home, Kazuki is already there prepping dinner for everyone.
Kazuki kind of dances around asking Rei how the play date went for him. After Miri went to bed though, all bets are off the table.

When it clicks for Angel that Aki likes his best friend, the devil starts to torment Aki for his crush mentioning how he never thought Aki would be the type to like a devil!
Aki couldn't help but quickly shut his mouth and drown his work partner out from his endless amounts of teasing.
Eventually, word does get around to [YourName] that Aki likes them.
'Word' being Angel.
[YourName] didn't take it seriously, well until they let it slip in front of Aki.
Aki and [YourName] were casually talking when they let it slip too, and when it did come out poor Aki...
