"People often talk about that second record and how it can be challenging, I think where it was different for me was, it almost came the other way around, because I come out of One Direction, I made all those albums with them, my first record almost felt like my second record. I had that moment with One Direction, then coming out on my own, so there was a lot of pressure and a lot of room for like overthinking with [Walls], whereas now, it's just I got a clearer picture in my head of what I want, of what I need out of what I'm doing. Instead of just chasing what I, at the time, thought a) was the right thing to do and maybe even at time the easier thing to do. The longer I sat with it, I'm just like 'I got to do what I love.' Because I've been lucky enough to have experienced all the highs of One Direction, so I've not really anything left to achieve. So on me own it's more about just following my heart."

louis getting the #1 in the UK…. in his home country. after competing against a legend like bruce springsteen. after finally being able to drop the major label juggernaut that had him in their grasps for so long. after being able to create an album that feels the most authentic to him. after fighting the pressures of the sophomore slump and all the forces that have worked against him. after navigating through a year of touring for the first time. after growing his confidence as a solo artist for months through the faces he saw in the crowds night after night. after finally being able to absorb and put out the sound and influences he’s always resonated with. after experiencing the outpouring of love from all sides of the industry, his fanbase, DIY bands. after finally having the true opportunity to be seen. i’m just so proud of him. faith in the future is louis album. 2022 was louis year. 2023 only looks brighter. and as always fuck sony.
