“Listen to the child”

Yes! Please! Let’s listen to the children who still look at war and violence with terror and revulsion instead of resignation. Instead of “this is how it’s always been.” It takes a child to ask “why?” It takes a child to look at the bad parts of our world and ask why no one has bothered to change it.

But it also takes every last person in the chain of command to put a weapon down. To make the personal choice to no longer stand for an unnecessary war. “Shouldn’t we fire?” One man asks. “No,” says the woman in command. Each person who hesitated to fire when the queen gave orders. If any one of them had fired, as we know from Jacob firing the gun, would’ve broken the moment to lay down arms. Each person’s decision to choose peace impacted the end of the war.

I will live a long, happy life. Because dying a great death, an honorable death, is a myth to idolize war by those who profit off of war. The ones who only have power when there is fighting. And none of those who died are dishonorable or no longer a hero, right? They knew no other option. They can be wrong and still be heroes.

This movie fights against the influx of child soldier media by simply asking to no longer need soldiers.

I hope we all can live a long, happy life.

Right so I been having a doozy of a time with my health lately. Recently found out (like 6 months ago) I’m gluten AND dairy intolerant and I’ve been playing around with what it does on a day to day basis. Here are my anecdotal finds in case anyone else recognizes patterns:

Gluten AND dairy make me bloated and disrupt the proceeding digestion process

This was not noticeable for the decade-ish when I was eating both regularly (I went off gluten and dairy for about 2 years straight before no. 1 was observed)

When I eat gluten and dairy, my depression/depressive habits spike WILDLY for the next day or two

I find it hard to fall asleep until 3+ hours after my routine I established in the last year and revert to high school habits (2-4a bedtime). Like I’m not even tired at my bedtime

My apathy spikes and so does my poor time management

My ability to make healthy choices tank (if I start eating gluten/dairy I go ehhhh what’s the harm of some more for at least the rest of the day if not several days after)

I become Sad Boi™️ (gender neutral)

My hobbies become boring

IT KILLS MY SPECIAL INTEREST AT THE TIME WHERE IT STAAAAANDS (objectively the worst part)

Fatigue + waking up at the time my body usually does with the routine = like 4-6h of sleep (shut it. I’m a wimp. I need like 7-9 to function)

IT MAKES MY OTHER ALLERGIES AND INTOLERANCES MORE SENSITIVE

No. 11 but specifically bc I’m allergic to my dog so I shouldn’t pet him :((

Dermatillomania spikes and my arms/spots I pick at are NOTICEABLY more inflamed

Joint pain increase and so does sensitivity

Google the vagus nerve

Anyway. Just keep in mind. If any of this sounds familiar and you have the energy and funds to be able to adjust your diet for a week-month to test how you feel (note: I’m a little bitch about not getting to eat Yummy Things™️ so it took like 2 months to get used to it and actually start focusing on my body changes v just bitching about not eating donuts and cheeeeese (not together)).

Good luck. Stay healthy. And remember! If you’re in the US, all wheat is inflammatory no matter what bc of poor FDA regulations 🥶

I just think that a man who could chase one minor felon across twenty plus years and multiple cities would be perfectly suited to chasing a trail of money through multiple shell companies as a board tries to duck criminal prosecution through bankruptcies while retaining the assets within the parent zaibatsu

truly wild how driving really does become like piloting a mech after a while. like it sounds so car-bro-y but the car genuinely does become like an extension of your body. your muscles are simply making the correct micro-movements to perfectly manouvre a giant piece of machinery through a constantly moving maze while your brain is busy singing karaoke. you can physically feel when a gap is too small for your car-sona to fit through, like a cat putting its whiskers into a crevice. your brain is suddenly able to do on-the-fly s=d/t calculations in a milisecond and tell you exactly how quickly you need to move to avoid an oncoming vehicle while turning across the road. why does driving unlock the unused 89% of my brain

Is that what driving is for most people? I looked in the notes expecting to see a bunch of bewildered reactions but everyone is agreeing with OP and it's not that I don't believe you, but like.

I drove for years and hated every second of it because I was constantly aware of the fact that I was in charge of a massive chunk of speeding steel and glass capable of causing death if I sneezed at the wrong moment. Not for a single second did the car feel like a part of me. Driving always felt deeply unnatural and highly dangerous. It is indeed Wild to think that the vast majority of people apparently smoothly mind-meld with their car.

No wonder I hate driving so much. Everyone else is having a fun Carsona drift experience while I'm strapped into the pilot seat of a complicated memory game whose penalty for losing is dismemberment.
