huge fan of when characters love each other and are closely bonded in an explicitly nonromantic way. however ☝️ i am very much not a huge fan of what happens when characters like this are introduced to fandom

people hated my other post about this but idc it needs to be said, but in your obsession with making platonic relationships into romance there is very much a loss of the depth that actually makes the original relationship interesting. and i feel like this is in part due to the idea of a relationship hierarchy and romance being "more than just friends" framing it as something added on top of an already existing relationship making it somehow inherently deeper and more meaningful, when in actuality romantic relationships and platonic relationships are just different relationships of equal importance with no difference in depth or meaning. romantic relationships can be shallow and fleeting or deep and lifelong and so can platonic ones. neither one is more important or better than the other and they aren't interchangeable either. if you change the relationship you are inherently altering the character dynamic and this is often not a good thing

Proxy drawing!! And theory bellow v

Idk much abt New titans, nor the new junk coming out soon BUT THIS ONE IS MY FAVORITE OUT OF THE LINEUP and hes also totally inertia

While drawing, I came up with theory after theory to explain this idea.. as well as thinking of some points from a little friend of mine🤭 (@bioeiectricity hi)

First things first, design.. besides the blond hair, and green lightning-ish looking accents, this doesnt look so so similar to Thad...

BUT! but..

The last time we see Thad in Flash #760, he punches Barry, who then gives him life advice, ans then in he runs off to start a new life (really... amazing cameo😭 vvv ).

Basically, we can assume he goes off to forgde his own path, WHICH BRINGS BE TO THE NEW NAME!!

The name "Proxy" is supposedly a shortening of "proximity" (which relates to his powers.. in quotes) BUT if we look through some of the many definitions OF Proxy, we find it means "substitute" or, more the more relating synonym "placeholder". This in my eyes, is pretty strong evidence that Proxy is Thads placeholder identity!!!

plus it could also highlight his past of substituting in someone elses identity.. (cough. Impersonating Bart Allen)..

Lastly we get to the counter argument... hes not a speedster. ..... how is he inertia if hes not a speedster?? To answer this we have to go back to his design, specifically these bracelet things.. what kinda character designer would put random tech on some guy?? I think that his "proximity telekenisis" comes from THOSE👀!!! And they could possibly dampen connections to the speed force?

Its not INSANE to think Inertia could get his hands on that kind of tech, he IS from the future and he IS a Thawne.. for that matter, a Thawne that we haven't seen the others pay much mind to, Thad could totally slip away and disapear into some new identity he fabricated.

(This is my crack theory-turned actually plausible theory, thanks 4 listening 2 my ramble)
