It's evident even just in Hiketeia that there is a difference between all the women the Amazons call sisters, through a universal bond of sisterhood that does not imply anything but a sense of community and kinship, and the women who an Amazon may feel familial siblinghood with. Still I can't help but think that Dani ran to Diana after going through fire and ice to avenge her sister (genuinely though like, investigating her death, killing all the culprits one by one, escaping batman, knowing about the hiketeia in the first place... we're not talking enough about how skilled my girl is). And then through the whole story Diana calls Dani her sister, when she welcomes her into her home, when she treats her kindly and when she tries her hardest to protect her despite having to fight her friend to do so, the way that Diana called her sister from the moment they met. I wonder if Dani died as she lived, hoping that in her actions she could save the sister that she couldn't before.

Something I really liked about ww hiketeia is how it allowed batman to be in the wrong because its not a batman story. A lot of stories that debate batmans no kill rule, such as under the red hood and dumpster slasher, still have to have bruce as the main pov and protagonist the audience roots for because it is a batman book at the end of the day (utrh was far more critical of batman/sympathetic to jason than dumpster slasher because apparently i wasnt supposed to root for judy??? Idk i loved her she had like five pages of screentime and she was a stone cold badass and i need more of her). Danny, who broke his rule, was portrayed far more sympathetically by the story and Diana, while batman and fate itself is the antagonist of the story

Anyway you should read ww hiketeia it's really good it was short but damn it was impactful I loved it
