@panic-at-the-disco-elysium
there was some dumbass misandry post calling transmasc feminists "attack dogs for trans women" as like a negative thing. if you're an attack dog for trans women i am wrapping you in blankets and feeding you large hamburger. i love you so much handsome feminist attack dogs
why does everybody got something goin on except mikey
the whole “you are silencing survivors” thing transmascvoicesproject/transgendervoicesproject pulls does not need to be taken seriously under any circumstances. mousidy ran a project dedicated to opening a dialogue for tma victims and survivors of abuse, took a break for her mental health, and this blog was created immediately. the purpose of the blog is to archive instances of abuse where the perpetrators were tma and the victims were tme — this is the language used, and this does explicitly include cis people. the blog took its initial intro post directly from the transfem voices project, and has accused mousidy of being “rapey” for discussing her experiences with sexual coercion (doubling down twice), having more ideological alignment with abusers of transfems than transfem victims, and directing her followers to send the blog gore and rape threats, an unsubstantiated claim. this is a transmisogynistic hate blog, and it is specifically a harassment campaign against mousidy, which seeks to make her look unreasonable for dissenting — why would you want to shut down a survivor-centric space? are you afraid of people knowing how pervasive the issue of transfem sexual violence is? this does not need to be taken in good faith. the point of the blog is to silence and punish a transfem survivor for discussing sexual violence. taking it at face value is pointless; we don’t have to play along.
here we see transmascvoicesproject/transgendervoicesproject explaining why she still allows open terfs in her comment sections, yet i am blocked. it makes sense to block me, given the criticisms i’ve expressed, but it is interesting who the person running this blog allows to stay…
Sodom and g'morning
…its been said before, but it bears repeating: i feel like a lot of people could stand to remember that fortress europe + ICE + border restrictions and policing around the world must be contextualised within an ongoing and severely worsening climate/biodiversity loss crisis that is actively making huge swathes of the third world uninhabitable viz. both rising temperatures and unproductive land and displacement and political crises/conflict over depleting resources, and that policies re. immigration and refugees now are both a response to those first waves of immigration and a testing ground for the er future. see also: climate chaos is coming - and the pinkertons are ready. it is a specific response to a crisis that is contiguous with a desire to continue expanding oil and coal and "dirty" energy capacity in the us AND with europe's continued expansion of both carbon fuel and green fuel simultaneously, all in the name of "national security" and "economic growth", in which security and growth of only particular forms and areas of the world are prioritised. it is a specific response to a crisis that has marked swathes of the world out as expendable both in terms of resource and people & which refuses any form of responsibility for "externalised costs". you may think yourself untouched, but it will affect you and sooner than you think.
What 1 (one) oxygen mask picture does to a mf
Do you think tumblr will ever learn the difference between “I’m defending this person because I agree with them wholeheartedly and I am also like this person” and “I’m defending this person because your behavior is dangerous and you need to stop”
IMO, blurring the lines between “I’m defending them because they’re right” and “I’m defending them because you’re taking this too far” is step numero uno to cutting down the very existence of fair trial and democracy–even in places where saying that might seem a little dramatic.
Mob mentality is extremely strong in humans and it’s also extremely dangerous. Mobs don’t think things through. Mobs kill and they destroy and they can’t be reasoned with. Someone trying to calm a mob down isn’t someone defending the ~problematic party~ It’s time we re-learn that.

I still think pregnancy and childbirth should be degendered. we stopped talking about that and I need us to pick it back up pls
People in the notes arguing that this is about individual comfort and misgendering are missing a major piece of the puzzle, which is that programs made for mothers and pregnant women often by definition exclude anyone whose gender marker is not F on every form they’ve ever filled out.
Insurance agencies use M markers to deny coverage for pregnancy related healthcare. Doctors offices hang up on pregnant people trying to schedule pre- and post-natal appointments for themselves because their voices or their names aren’t feminine enough. And if they manage to make the appointment, they can get harassed out of the waiting rooms or face medical malpractice behind closed doors.
Charities and benefits made for pregnant or new mothers don’t accept pregnant/new fathers or non-gendered parents. The WIC fund is called women, infants, and children.
If we degender pregnancy and childbirth (and periods while we’re at it) we open up support for every trans and intersex person who needs it. We normalize pregnant people of other genders and sexes, leaving less room for harassment and malpractice and more accountability for those who decide to be assholes anyway.
It’s not a-fucking-bout comfort. It’s about safety and survival. This can literally be the difference between life and death for some people.
Even if you manage to find a supportive healthcare team, this shit is unavoidable. When I gave birth, the hospital software couldn't monitor labor (including monitoring vitals for parent and baby) for patients with an M marker. They called tech support for the company that makes it and were told that there was no way to do it. They had to monitor my multi-day labor on a Jane Doe profile, completely disconnected from all of my health info.
me when someone abruptly asks me if i want to go and do something fun together but the fun thing wasn't part of my daily plan:
if i were klaasje i simply just wouldn’t have fumbled her
