Earlier this week while going through all the content that I’ve shot in 2018 so far, all the memories I’ve captured, and moments I’ve lived, I realised something— majority of my year was missing. At first I thought I was overlooking things. But after a good long look at my drives and cloud it was clear to me. Much of my October was not there with me (anymore). It was gone. Quietly, and unnoticeably. Yet what it left behind a heartbreak that was eternal. (Much like your last lover, of. course.). It was as if someone had taken a part of my own life away, with neither any consent nor warning. Its really amazing how all the hardwork you put into creating something can really go in vain sometimes. Mumbai, you taught me how to be bold. To believe in myself. To believe that I am, and that We. All. Are. . I couldn’t have gone 48 hours straight without sleep for anything else but you. You showed me how standing on your own feet isn’t something scary. It’s real. And for months I would go being proud on myself for the shots you gave me, as I waited for an opportune moment to share with the world. . . Narsapur, Rajamundry, Kakinada, Andhra. You showed me how Happiness can be found in the littlest of things. The importance of existing, and contentment. You gave me Star Trails and Life talks over miles long beaches that we only had to ourselves. . Can’t believe I can only put my October into words, not frames. Can’t believe I can still go without the pictures that are now long gone (.. but I am). . Maybe its high time I start valuing what it is that I already have, and start associating joys with things that are more real (?) Maybe its high time I start to un-think what I think and start thinking differently. Maybe its time. Time to grow up. Grow out. Let go. Get stronger. And to be all of that, altogether, At once.
