The Nameless is a fantasy interactive fiction WIP that is character and romance driven, with your MC loosely based on the fey and other myths, in a dying, drained world. This work is intended to stay free/donation-based. If you enjoy, please consider joining the Patreon, or donating via the Ko-fi or itch.io page!

Warnings: The Nameless is currently rated 18+, and contains depictions of violence and light gore, strong language, and will eventually have optional sexual content. The Discord server is also 18+ and everyone must mark if they are 18+ on joining.

Legend goes when the world was formed, the mortal races, mortalis, were created with the gift of magic. But as time passed their hubris grew, and the sheevra were created to curb their pride.

When it comes to these chaotic and malevolent beings, the lands are full of cautionary tales. Though some would tell you that the stories are just that. To them, names have no power. There are no mysterious deals to fear, and the figure who seduces you into an alley at midnight is certainly no malicious spirit.

Which luckily for you means easy prey.

Since you’ve gained consciousness, you’ve known the mortalis are responsible for draining the world of its magic and creating the Arids, the wastelands that have overtaken the continent. And the deals you lure them into are the only way the sheevra can slowly restore the world’s more balanced state.

After all, knowing someone’s true name is the most intimate secret a person can offer.

You never imagined fearful weaklings like these would be any threat to you. But when an entire sheevra clan disappears seemingly overnight from one of the four cities left in the world, you’re sent across the continent and far from your home to investigate. And you quickly find - through sources both sheevra and mortalis - that the truth is never simple.

Will you find out what happened before it comes for you?

Customizable MC with different appearances in your sheevra form and glamoured mortalis form (nb inclusive, gender and pronoun selection separate)

Play as a dryad, unseelie, or leanhaun with different features, appearances, and magic bonuses

Personality stats, including how you view the mortalis

Magic vs Might preference, with bonuses depending on your sheevra type to one of the following magic schools: Elemental, Illusion, or Pathos

Sentiments: Vials of memories you’ve collected with different effects depending on who ingests them. The player starts out with one of each, and they come in pairs, totaling six : Delight & Despair | Devotion & Repulsion | Fury & Fright

Twitch Write Night & July Write-a-Thon

Hi all!

Thank you to everyone who joined this weekend for an experimental writing stream over on Twitch! I was able to write 1500 words and work a bit on the Healer’s new art, and overall it really helped to get me in gear for productive writing afterward too :D

So I’ll be working to a regular stream schedule now of Tuesdays at 2300 GMT with some other earlier weekend times thrown in when I can for more writing and art! Come hang out and work on your own writing or art or whatever you'd like C:

And to mirror May’s Sketch-a-Day, for every day in July I’ll be posting something that I’ve written that day to all patrons.

CHAPTER 4: PARIAH (Patreon Release)

Hi everyone! It's been a long, long time LMAO. I'm pleased to say that the Pariah update is now ready to (tentatively) play through and sits at about 39k. Shorter then anticipated by 1k, but I think the playability (depending on your persuasion and anxiety stats) makes up for that. Public release will be announced once I have it run on Patreon for a while and I clean what I want to clean :)

Those who go to Patreon to play... make note that you will need to replay. So enjoy a reintroduction to the world!

This update includes:

Driving a car, or being chauffeured

Strange things are happening on old McDonald's Farm

An intimate look at the diet of livestock

An equally intimate look at what might happen to you nasty little slime eaters (finally)

Murder. The not so fun kind.

Other house business:

An absence of a year means there are things to clean. I will be editing Deadlocks text in the Chapter 2 scene, and then working out some of the other issues I found in terms of pacing of text and playability

I removed the music from the game to work on that

The back button is absent (I know, sad) so I'll be reinstating that

Attollo now sits at 530, 680 words. Next up will be Suha's route.

Interactive Fiction Community Raffle for Palestine!

Over 50 authors and artists from the Interactive Fiction community here on tumblr have come together to offer an array of prizes for a focused donation drive! We are aiming to raise as much money as possible for five families who are currently trying to evacuate Gaza. These fundraisers have been vetted by @/el-shab-hussein and @/nabulsi (thank you for your hard work!)

RULES:

You MUST donate a minimum of €5/$5 USD to one of these five fundraisers to qualify for a ticket. These are the currencies the GFMs are in (3 in euro, 2 in USD). We chose this amount because it is the minimum GFM allows and we are hoping to encourage as many donations as possible. Please be mindful that GFM does not show the conversion rate if you're donating outside your currency.

Donating once to all five GFMs will get you five tickets. And for each extra 5 you donate, you will get an extra ticket. (ie donating 10 to one GFM gets you 2 tickets, 15 gets you 3, etc.)

There are two tiers we will be pulling prizes from: one tier for writing, and one tier for art. When you submit your proof of donation, you will be asked to specify which tier you want your ticket to go towards. If you are submitting for more than one ticket, you will specify the tiers for each ticket-- you can spread them out between both tiers or put them all towards one.

You will be required to share a receipt/proof of donation via uploading a picture through google forms. We will not be handling any money. You are donating directly to the GFMs, and then showing us proof that you have done so. Please include the GFM and the amount you've donated in the screenshot you upload. We are only taking donations starting from June 7th onward.

We plan to raffle off all possible prizes using a random generator. Once the drive concludes on the 21st, we'll take a few days to gather up & organize the tickets and draw names, and then we will be in touch with winners both on tumblr and via email.

Please understand that these prizes are pulled blind and assigned at random. You cannot pick or choose which writer/IF or artist you get. It is completely randomized. You get what you get-- even if you aren't familiar with the writer or their game. Artists and authors also have the right to refuse your request at their discretion. Please be respectful and remember that our main goal and focus here is fundraising for these families.
