This single quote contains the essence of Warren Buffet's investing secret which had once made him the richest person in the world.
Warren Edward Buffett is an American investor, business tycoon, philanthropist, and the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. He is considered one of the most successful investors in the world and has a net worth of over US$85.6 billion as of December 2020, making him the world's fourth-wealthiest person.
This is the third edition of the book written by Robert. G. Hagstrom. In which he shares the investment strategies of Warren Buffet.
The Ten important principles which are the essence of the book are as follows.
1) Simple and Understandable( A company should be easy to understand )
2) Consistent Operating History
3) Favorable Long-Term Prospects
4) Candor
5) Rationality ( Company should be run on realistic objective and principal)
6) Return on Equity
7) Profit Margins
8) Determine the Value
9) The One-Dollar Premise ( Every dollar spend in the company should create a dollar market value)
I liked this book as it gives an in-depth knowledge of how Warren invests in the stock market. It also shares many important tips for value investing with nine real-life case studies.
In all, it's a good read for all those interested in investing and stock market.

Favorite line - "I believe in the power of DESIRE backed by FAITH because I have seen these power lift men from lowly beginnings to places of power and wealth; I have seen it serve as the medium by which men staged a comeback after having been defeated in a hundred different ways"
If you have ever read non-fiction books including self-help and financial books then you must have observed that all the books almost fall into one of the two categories
1) First categories are those who discussed tips and tricks to achieve particular things
2) Second categories are the one which is rare and discuss only fundamental of how to achieve things.
Think and grow rich is just of the fundamental books about achieving wealth. The book was published in 1937 but the fundamentals principles discussed in the book are still relevant in 2020.
The book starts with a basic introduction of how the idea of the book was formed. It started with an interview with Andrew Carnegie in 1908(One of the richest person) where he shares his some of the secrets of success and told the Napoleon hill ( Author ) to take this formula and study all the successful people of that time and find out some of the fundamentals of success.
Author after thinking accept this offer and began working on it and after 29 years of study he found 13 things which were common among all the successful people.
He then wrote a detailed book on it and published it by the name " Think and Grow Rich" which means to become rich your thinking should be like rich people in other words first you will become rich in your mind and then in the real world.
The last of the book is the one which is my favorite in which the author discussed six ghosts of fear which arises from Indecision, fear, and doubt
until and unless you control your fear which includes (Fear of criticism, old age, death etc) You cant become rich, and even you become you cant experience it fully.
Recommendation
To every person in this world who want to become rich not just from materialist things but from inside also. Don't just read this book once read it again and again because every time you will find something new from it
The book is about whether eating meat is good for health or not. What are the pros and cons of eating meat? The author also broke various myths regarding meat-eating.
So let's start
Iron deficiency is one of the most widespread as well as one most problem as it affects 1.6 billion people more than 1/5 of humanity and meat is one of the best sources which can reduce iron deficiency.
Apart from this modern nutritional science discovered meat value as an outstanding source of key vitamin and several essential minerals.
However, the two main leading causes of death in modern societies are cardiovascular and cancer.
And meat consumption is one of the major contributions to this death.
Another study conducted by Oxford founds that there was an increase in colon cancer incidence among vegetarian which lead to another question
That should we stop eating more vegetables also??
Methane and Dinitrogen monoxide emission released by meat affects not only humans but s e the single largest emission of global warning also.
In the global term, Ammonia emission from livestock has tripled during the 20 century which has to lead to an increase in Earth temperature.
Meat is undoubtedly an environmentally expensive food.
More ever to say 1 kg of fresh vegetables is good for 1 kg of meat is also not right.
It is a myth that meat-eating people die fast. Japan the longest living population eat meat, European three societies which have the highest life expectancy Sweden, Norway and Iceland have meat in their diet.
Thinking about the environmental effect it can be reduced.
for that, we have to follow
A term called "RATIONAL MEAT EATING"
Which is to reduced meat-eating by only 40 kg per year for young and adults and 25-30 kg for old people ie above 60 age
IF we further reduced this in the month it will be 3.3 kg and in week term maximum 800 to 1000 grams only Ie only 2 to 3 days only
By this much eating meat only we can not only save our planet but also make ourselves healthy.

The book is about creating a new and dominating market for your product or service.
It gives various insights into business, leadership, the mindset of consumers.
Although it deals only with the business world I believe the principle can be applied in the job sector also.
Main part 👇
There are two ways of doing business.
First is with fighting with your competitors and capture the majority of market share ( ie Red Ocean)
Second is creating an entirely new market of your products and making the competition irrelevant ie (Blue Ocean)
The best example of this is Jio. Where Vodaphone and Airtel were fighting for calling price. Jio enters the market providing free internet and making the competition irrelevant.
So the question is how to create s blue ocean
1) Reduce = Reduce factors below industry-standard ( Like Jio reduce the price of the internet)
3) Eliminate = Remove factors which are irrelevant ( Like iPhone removed typing feature)
5)Create = Create an entirely new sector ( Like Amazon created an entirely new reading experience of reading by Kindle)
6) Raise= Raise your focus on factors which industry ignored ( Like Starbucks raise the experience of drinking a coffee)
Next, your focus should be on
2) Value innovation
A major mistake company makes is that they created something which nobody needs ie innovation without value.
Or create something valuable but without any innovation.
So the best strategy here is building an innovative product that also brings value to customers ie. Value innovation
Lastly comes the most important ingredient of your success ie your people
What you need to apply here is👇
3)Fair process
Employees or a person wants two things from you
1) Emotionally = recognition of their value as a human being.
2) Intellectual = Their idea or thought should be treated with respect.
Treat your employee as a human being and then as a clerk, supervisors, or HR
If you are able to give these two things which will cost nothing more than a great heart. You can create a team full of loyal and smart people.
Combining all the above things will help you create a blue within your industry where you can lead and dominate and that's the essence of this book.
One of the best book I have read this year.
Favorite line = "I don’t need a friend who changes when I change and who nods when I nod; my shadow does that much better.” ___________________ Preview 👇 This book includes many stories of friends and how to make a good one. The author was an FBI agent and he tells his story of how he created a great friendship with a foreign spy who wasn't ready to speak a word also in the beginning. ___________________ Main part👇 So here goes the story as the spy was caught and jailed the author first used to visit him every day but he spoke nothing and just read his newspaper in front of him. This created a curiosity in the spy's mind. When questioned by the spy regarding his daily visit, the author doesn't reply increasing the curiosity of the spy. Now the author uses these two psychological principals ie: 1) The principle of scarcity. 2) Principle of increased restraint. To make friendship with him which are explained in detail in the book. So, according to the author, there are five stages of friendship 👭 1)Stranger (never talked) 2) Acquaintance (few talks) 3)Friends (many talks) 4) Close friends( sharing everything), 5) Significant other ( life partner type). So if you want to make friendship at any one stage it will depend not on your looks or money, but on increasing. 👬 Proximity ( how comfortable you feel ) 👬Frequency( Number of times you talk in a day) 👬Duration( for how much time you talked) 👬Impact ( How strongly you can satisfy his/her emotional need). This will decide how close your friendship 👭 is. ___________________ Recommendation👇 I would recommend this book to someone who is having a hard time building friendship and the one who is lonely. Building a friendship is about marketing yourself, the better you do, the better your friendship sells. ___________________ Qotd = One reason why books are our best friends? #friendshipbook #fridayreads #bookshelfie #booktoday #bookcover #bookphotograph #bookbloggerspost #bookjoy #bookloversofinstagram #bookaesthetic (at India) https://www.instagram.com/p/CF1-s30gfO0/?igshid=psy0r2p9bzxd
Favorite line = When men and women are able to respect and accept their differences, then love has a chance to blossom.
Preview 👇
According to this book the author portrait that both men and women are from different plant and had come to earth and have forgotten about it.
The books show main problems in relationship and solutions to it
Main part 👇
The author gives 5 tips to both men and women about improving their relationship
1) Results vs feeling
Men are results-oriented while females are feeling originated.
Men like to solve their problems on their own while women talk to each other to solve their problems.
Solution = Don't disturb the man while they are in a problem and don't give solutions to women while they are just listen to them.
2) Men go to their cave women's talk.
When facing depression men like to stay away from people while women like to talk about their feelings.
Solution same is that of the first one
3) Men's want to feel needed while women want to care
Men want to feel important while women want their loved ones to take care of and protect them.
Solution = Never make your man feels unimportant and always take care of your wife even small acts of caring can make a lot of difference
4) Men are like a rubber band and women are like cave
Men like to stay away from loved one's time to time because of their personal responsibility so never disturb them at that
Women can become sad time to time having no specific reason it's like in their nature .. so never try to make them happy in that
Solution = In both the case just be patient they will get normal by their own again
Recommendation
Book is best for a newly wed couples or someone who wants to be in a relationship.
It is not difficult to start a relationship what is difficult is to maintain it . Take this book as guide to learn this art
Favorite line = Remember, no man is a failure who has friend'

The book depicts a new way of wealth calling it a Fastlane. Avoiding to author their are two ways to reach one by following slow lane and the other is Fastlane. Let's see what both are.
Main part 👇
1)60% negative return ( It's slow lane)
Imagine if you are getting a 60% negative return on your every investment consistently. What will happen after sometime??. You will go to bankruptcy. Similarly, it happens when you work from Mon to Fri in exchange for getting a Holiday on Sat and Sun. It's like 5-for-2 return on investment which is 60% Negative. Avoid this trap.
2 Instrict value
It is measure in a unit of time. Our time is restricted to 24hrs and no one can work that much so maximum 8 to 12 hours so you can't earn more than you work in other words you can never become rich by this. So never trade your time for wealth make it your asset and not the liability
3) The Paradox of Practice asks, “Do you practice what you preach?
Imagine you are going to a wealth loss seminar and person who will teach you that is a man full of obesity.. what you will?? Simply get out of that.
Same is with life the person who gives us advice is mostly the ones who don't follow that ( Friends, financial advisor, guru) .. Never take advice from those who don't preach them.
4) Fastlane
The Fastlane is about building a better system, a better
the contraption, a better product, or a better “something” that will leverage your work.
In short, it's about getting Rich Quick and not Get Rich Easy known the difference
The first thing to do for that👇
Reshape your focus from consuming to producing become a producer first and a consumer second
5) The Law of Effection
The Law states that the more lives you impact, directly or indirectly, the more wealth you will attract
The reason why Jeff Bezos is the richest person in the world is that he is affecting millions of people daily and earn millions from them.
Sell millions, help millions, serve millions, impact millions and be a millionaire
Think big and do something which can change of millions and you can then earn millions from them. Its that's simple no bullshit
Recommendation
I would recommend this book to someone who seriously wants to earn money but doesn't know the right way and someone who is ready to read some hardcore facts about money and not any filmy stories. This attitude will never give you financial independence. So grab this book and learn how to become rich.
Bouns line to think 👇
There is a difference between what you can buy and what you can afford
Fav line = Repressing the thought of death and aging creates continual underlying anxiety.
Think of the time when you did not follow the rule laid down by your school possible you had face punishment. Similar it is with life if you follow rules you will be rewarded and vise versa
The book represents 18 laws of human nature some are as follows
1) Law of role-playing
We all wear masks. Mask of being interested in our boss's idea even though we hate it. Mask of showing interest in our friends' talk when we are just waiting for our turn to talk.
If you want to go ahead in life you need to remove these qualities and have to become genuinely interested in the person. For that remember everyone has something to teach us.
On the other side if you see these masks in your peers or any stranger you meet then stay away from them.
2) Law of compulsive pattern
People don't do anything once if they have done wrong with you it can be repeated.
Always look for these patterns in their past lives and if you find someone like this then cut off immediately from them.
3) Law of Covetousness
The value of water is always realized when it is not there similarly the value of people always increased when they are dead.
So the key is not to die but become absent from time to time it will create a mysterious image in your group and your value will eventually increase if done right.
4) Law of Shortsightedness
You know why people fall prey to quick rich schemes because they only focus on the present and not the future and this is called compulsive behavior.
Never do this mistake always see the future consequences of your present actions.
5) Law of repression
Remember in life no one is either good or bad. If people treat you in a good way maybe they want something in return so never make any judgment in the early stage of any new relationship or partnership.
Recommendations
The book is best for someone who is harassed by society or peer pressure basically we all are to some extend and if you are having a hard time dealing with your boss, partners, spouse or friends then go to bookstores and grab this book.
Favorite line = We tell ourselves stories in order to live.
Imagine how it feels when your father is dying in front of you and you can't do anything. When your mother is being raped in front of you and you can't do anything and when your sibling runs away from the house in order to live.
And last.
When you are afraid of sleeping, thinking that you won't open your eyes the next morning.
This all happened to a 14years old girl and many others today living in North Korea.
This is a story of a North Korean girl Yeonmi Park who ran from the country who has no internet, movies, or books to read. There is no love except for the love of Kim Jo. Where kids are taught only about the greatest of his country and Kim accepts the fact that half of their population is in poverty and malnutrition.
Things in North Korea started becoming worse after the 1990s famine and instead of providing a solution, the government told the people to start eating only one time a day.
Seeing no other option for survival Yeonmi and her mother thought of migrating to China.
However, running from North Korea was not easy there was danger of life, betray loss of lives, and even rape on their path. After arriving in China, things didn't get easy but got worse. They were forced into child trafficking where they were being raped many times. At last, they migrated from China also and arrive in South Korea, but this also includes many hardships.
The story covers the cruelty of North Korea and China towards their people and refugees and how they are banned from the outside world.
Recommendation
The book is best for one who thinks that his/her luck is bad. We don't know how much worse can life and people become, so always be grateful for what you have. After reading this book you will never complain that my life is bad
Favorite line = No one leaves the home unless the home is the mouth of a shark. You only leave home when a home doesn't let you stay there. The economy is a science of a common one who understands this understands life. In the book, noble prizes winning author has discussed serval worldwide issues that the world is facing and then providing their solutions too. Some main problems are 1)Immigration issues Most European think that migration will lower the demand for native workers which is wrong. Instead, migration makes both native as well migrate life better and leads to better industrial production. no supply-demand model is used here And sometimes they became a job Creator too. Eg Jeff Bezos and Steve Jobs grandparents were not born American they were migrated. 2) Fear of failure We are afraid to show to the world and ourselves that we are selfish, or bad sometimes Like If I crossed the road because to avoid a beggar I don't have to reveal to myself that I lack generosity 3) Trade issues. The case of free trade will help is without any evidence. It sometimes leads to unemployment and dependency. For eg when countries like China produce almost everything, they can simply throw away other local markets. This problem can only solve if importing countries are tax and money is then distributed to unemployed people. But this is only if. 4) Preference choice We like to connect with people who are similar to us that's why the majority of marriages are done within their caste only. The downside of this is that we are not exposed to others' points of view. This makes things worse. This is called the Echo chamber We prefer doing what others do. Our biases towards religion, gender can be solved only with socialization when everyone comes together Recommendation The book is best for one's interest in world politics or wants to understand the economy. Since the U.S election is coming books become more important for Americans. Forgetting is a skill that you must develop in order to have emotional
flow.
This book is a collaboration between Curtis Jackson (aka 50 Cent) and Robert Greene. All chapters include some story of Curtis and then a deep explanation is given by Robert.
Curtis Jackson was a Hustler’s ( drug dealer) in his teenage. Her parents had been shot dead in front of him due to some business rivalry. Being alone and seeing no other option for survival he joined in drug dealing business. Life of drug dealers is full of uncertainty, he was chased by other big mafia groups who wanted to destroy him and on the other side he was also chased by police and his own associate who wanted to put him out of business.
Yet his fearless attitude cares none of the above things and throwing all this aside he became mafia king of his hood.
Then something urged him from inside to change this field, since he didn't want to meet the same fate as his parents had. So putting his mafia business aside he tries to become a rapper but we all know how the music industry treats newcomers and especially if you are poor and without any connection.
Again he didn't care about this and after getting many rejections and a nine bullet also from an assassin he created his own music, his own studio, and published his rap which became a hit.
His entire story is filled with deception, loneliness, and failure.
Some principles are
1) Accepted death as a reality.
2) Know when to be bad.
3) Respect the process.
4) See things as they are.
Recommendation
I would recommend this book to any person who is from the middle class or the poor. Remember to become successfull we need to have a fearless attitude more than money or connection
The secret to wealth is simple: Find a way to do more for others than anyone else does. Become more valuable. Do more. Give more. Be more. Serve more Money makes the world go around. When you don't have money everyone forgets you and when you have the money you forget yourself. Book reveals 7 simple steps for becoming rich. 1) The Power of compounding. From Albert Einstein to Warren Buffett everyone' has told about the significance of compounding. It's saving your money over a consistent period. Ask how much money you will pay to yourself before utilizing it for any expanse??. Expert signifies laying 10-15% of your money for the future and using remaining for all your expanse. 2) Beware of hidden fees and taxes Taxes and fees can take up to 60-70% of your wealth. Be aware of it from start. To curtail it the safe step is to choose a fiduciary advisor and invest in index funds because both come with low risk and fees. 3) Diversification The key to a winning portfolio is diversified, diversify, diversify. The author guides you in the book to diversify your income in three categorize 1) Security bucket = A constant and safe investment like "government bonds" 2) Risk/growth bucket = Investment where the risk is very high but with that dividends are too high Eg: (high-yield bonds or international stocks) 3) Dream bucket ( Money for your personal use ) The best ratio is 1/3. 4) Upside without downside Distributing your portfolio into 50% stock and 50% bond is a common blueprint among investors but it comes with a huge risk. Simple Solution is. You have to divide up your money based on how much risk/reward there is —not just in equal amounts of dollars in each type of investment. Recommendation This book is best for a fresh college graduate and a retired person. Life will be arduous than your syllabus and odds are that you won't have any re-exam option. The guidance in the book can assist you to earn millions and most importantly contentment. Qotd = Do you think money is everything? 🎁The birthday is the only day in your life... Your mother smiled when you cried. With that, today is the end of my teenage and starting off adulthood.📚 🎁Many times my family and friends ask me what reading gives you??? And I became blank, but now I have realized a little bit that reading gives me satisfaction and a sense of worth and a feeling that I am going ahead in my life. And this what I have experienced by reading all the above books. This separates reading from watching the wrong web series or any other videos because they can surely give us relaxation and pleasures but can never give us satisfaction. As satisfaction comes from learning not watching.📚 🎁It's been 10 years since I received my first book on my birthday. Since then the list of books and addiction to it has kept on increasing. I wish this addiction stays with me till my last breath.📚 🎁Qotd= What's the most special book you have ever received or read ??📚 #nonfictionbooks #bookpile #birthdaybook #inspirationalbooks #booklovers #businessbook #bookphotos (at India) https://www.instagram.com/p/CCtRST1Avwp/?igshid=19hktq38l5u3p

Facts are better than dreams. ⠀
⠀
In the whole book, the author has challenged various misconceptions that people believe to be true.⠀
⠀
⠀
Few are as follows:⠀
⠀
⠀
1) The Gap instinct (Belief that the world is divided)⠀
⠀
⠀
In today's time, there is no difference between the developed and underdeveloped world. This difference was there in 1970- 80 not now. 85% of mankind has been already inside the box named "developed world". So don't complain about bad things, the world is actually getting better.⠀
⠀
⠀
2) The Negative instinct. ⠀
⠀
⠀
It talks about our tendency to notice the bad more than good. We are not seeing how many people are recovering daily from coronavirus. But we all notice the deaths happening every day. To reduce this always look at the statistics. Remember numbers don't lie. ⠀
⠀
⠀
Bad news sells, that's why the media always show us negative things about the world.⠀
⠀
⠀
3) The Straight Line Instinct.⠀
⠀
⠀
The misconception that the world population is "Just Increasing".⠀
⠀
⠀
The population is not rising because of more children it's because of more adults (age 15-74), living in the world due to better medical facilities and life expectancy. ⠀
⠀
⠀
The number of children are under control and are not expected to increase.⠀
⠀
⠀
4) The Fear Instinct.⠀
⠀
⠀
Now think for a second, which headline will get better attention.⠀
⠀
⠀
Coronavirus cases are under control and there is no serious threat.⠀
⠀
⠀
OR⠀
⠀
⠀
The highest single-day spike in Covid-19 cases.⠀
⠀
⠀
The majority of people will read the second headline since we are more prone to negative than positive. And where our attention goes there all advertisers and media companies will go. ⠀
⠀
⠀
That's why negative news is showing more than the positive one. So don't fall prey to them.⠀
⠀
⠀
5) The Destiny instinct.⠀
⠀
⠀
It is an idea that particular religion, gender, or state is better than another. Remember, no one comes into the world with a VIP pass. We all have the same 24 hrs the same brain and the same oxygen to breathe. So never underestimate anyone.⠀
⠀
⠀
⠀

Living life and staying alive are both poles apart. Sounds crazy, but it's a fact. And what differentiates this both is one's purpose in life.
Story of Verghese Kurien. The Father of the White Revolution in India is a real story of how destiny and purpose can change one's life.
Being a smart student. He got a scholarship from then British ruled Indian government. To study abroad. Coming back to India after Independence he thought of working somewhere. But the government refused. And told him to go to Anand and work as a dairy engineer since they had paid their foreign fees.
There he found a struggling cooperative. Next to his office working under the leadership of Tribhuvandas Patel. The goal of the organization. Was to make India and farmers self-independent In the production of milk.
He thought of helping them in their struggle for milk production. But who knew that this small help will then force him to work there for the next 50 years of his life.
The main struggle that came in his way to make this reality was from his own government. Which didn't believe in him and thought that these rural people are of no use. And it's better to take help from foreign countries. And stay in their mercy for entire life. But he proved them wrong and showed that the true asset of India is their own people.
At last, he spent his entire life working as an employee of farmers. And has made India a self- independent country in milk production.
Recommendation
I would recommend this book. To someone who wants to go aboard and settle there. We all have our duty towards the nation. So think before leaving. And to anyone who wants to realize his/her purpose in life.
His story can be an example. To show us that it's not only the government nor any politician's duty to change the nation. But it's our responsibility to make our nation the best
