Backstory: since her birth, her parents were very neglecftul of her needs. Her mother fell into severe post-partum depression which prevented her from being able to appropriately care for a baby and her father hadnt wanted a child at all and made very little effort to help with her. Growing up, all her physical needs were met but coming from a poor background with no siblings, she suffered severe emotional neglect. This caused her to seek attention from adults any other way she could.
In preschool, she was very imaginative and loved playing with the other children but often clung to her favourite teacher during downtime as she was often one ofthe first to arrive and last to leave. It was in preschool that she met her childhood and lifelong friend Harvey, who she would come to have a strong sibling-like realtionship with. Her coping mechanism stayed fairly stable throughout her childhood where she would process and outlet her troubles through creativity and play, this meant the other children found her very easy to make friends with.
However as she moved up into her teenage years, her attitude began to change. She realised that none of her classmates wanted to play pretend anymore or play with toys the way she had grown attached to and struggled to adapt to the change. To cope with this, she turned her attention and creative coping mechanisms into art and quickly became the art kid of her class and grew closer to Harvey as he was a stable rock she knew she could lean on. During this struggle, she also learned that behaving well gets you largely ignored by the teachers so she began to act out. She became very snappy, confrontational and impulsive toward everyone. She was a fairly popular teen thanks to her looks and was very quickly exposed to behaviour far too mature for her age. Due to her proclivity for making friends with older students, she became close with a 16 year old boy who was helping her with school work. Their "study sessions" quickly turned from school library visits to a few hours at his house several times a week. He had spent the year or so that he knew her manipulating her and grooming her into having sex shortly after her 13th birthday. She thought she was incredibly mature and beautiful to be attracting the older boys and was too young to properly understand what was happening. Her parents rarely asked where she was when she came home late or left the house, as long as she clean, fed and watered they left her to herself so they didn't notice any of the signs of her situation. Harvey seemed unsure of this boy from the beginning but Ira was far too stubborn and blinded to listen. He only stopped seeing her as he had to go to college and his parents refused to let her come over any more - unknown to her whether they had caught him or not.
Around this time, her mental health took a very serious turn and she began self-harming to cope. She suffered a young love breakup with her first girlfriend at 14. Another dodgy relationship started when she was 15 and crossed paths with an 18 year old boy who frequented the park she would go to instead of going home. He got her addicted to smoking and again used their meet ups as a way to groom her into a secret and sexual relationship (often in dodgy places as neither wanted to go to their homes). Very messy breakup when his friends found out and reported him to the police. This caused her to make her first attempt on her life by overdose but her mother realised what she'd done and rushed her to hospital.
Went through a series of short term sexual relationships from the ages of 16-18 and had adapted a hyper sexual lifestyle and slept around as a coping mechanism. She began lots of sexual exploration during this time. When she was in college she began dying her hair black and made a second attempt on her life as her mental health deteriorated even further without a stable relationship to latch onto. In college, she met two of her closest friends June and Finn. June was part of her art class and Finn was a gregarious and flamboyant boy that introduced himself to them as a ruse to hit on Harvey - which he abandoned after realising he was straight but had already become close with the group. When moving to Uni, she quit smoking and switched to vaping in order to save money and managed to reduce the amount of nicotine in her system in doing so. Uni was where she met Raegan, a fashion design student that was introduced to the group by June as they had an overlapping class. All 5 went to the same uni as they all took similar courses.

Ira Meadows
Ira is an art student at university, she’s 21 years old and is very outgoing. As a bisexual woman, many of her close friends are also in the LGBT+ community and she is very open minded. Due to many struggles in her childhood, she has developed a very flirty and impulsive personality and has no problem using her body to get her through life. However this promiscuous mentality has prevented her from finding a lover throughout her young adult life.
Physically, she’s 5’4 with long straight black hair, pale skin, blue eyes and a pear shaped body type. She has several piercings and tattoos that she bought as soon as she was old enough. They did wonders for her confidence after her bad experiences as a teen. She dresses in an alternative punk-goth style and likes to wear dark eyeliner and makeup.
Art is one of her safety nets, somewhere she can express herself freely. She mostly paints with oil paints and makes emotional and meaningful pieces. Some that reflect her struggles in childhood and others reflecting the newfound happiness in her friends.
In her childhood, she grew up in a neglectful household, the only child of parents that rarely gave her much attention outside of keeping her housed and fed. This lead her into multiple incredibly harmful relationships in her teenage years that formed her sexual nature as an adult.
In her first year of uni, she met a boy and quickly started dating him. He is the polar opposite of her, a nervous computer nerd who’s never had sex before. He balances her out so perfectly that the bond they quickly formed was so strong that neither could imagine living without the other. (I will post a separate post about him 🖤)

Avatar fans, do you like hearing about fan made clans? I have made one but I’m curious what the fandom thinks of fan made clans and possible Na’vi adaptations for different environments
As a writer, I spend 90% of my time googling synonyms or searching for words I know but have incidentally forgotten right in the moment that I need it for once.
the only excuse I see from people who think it's okay to give fanfic writers unsolicited criticism is "if writers can't handle criticism, they should not be posting their works online" and tbh I think it's such a weak, pathetic excuse to be entitled.
someone not wanting unsolicited criticism on something they do for themself — for fun, as a form of self-care — out of love and passion has nothing to do with whether or not they can handle criticism. because we're not talking about a job they get paid to do. we're talking about a damn fanfiction. a hobby. something writers do in their free time as their source of comfort and getaway.
it's their art. not yours. it can be whatever and however an author wants it to be.
instead of trying to justify your action by gaslighting writers — whose works you read for free — that they "should be able to handle unsolicited criticism", ask yourself why you feel the need to go to someone's fic, read it, and then complain about things you don't like when you can always quietly leave if you don't have anything nice to say.

The hands on the glowing clock pointed to 11:25 and moonlight was peeking through the gap in the curtains. Another light was shining from the tip of Bella's wand as it rested on her shoulder, illuminating the pages of her book. Beside her, Draco was playing mindlessly with a golden snitch he used when practicing quidditch. Her peaceful reading was abruptly interrupted by Draco aggressively turning to face her and making the whole bed shake which caused her wand to roll off her shoulder to the pillow beside her.
"What are you doing? I can't read without the light." she spoke, slightly irritated yet soft. Her question was met with a grumpy scowl and a grunt. "Honestly, you're such a baby, what do you want?" she asked, rolling her eyes.
"You're ignoring me." he huffed, pushing his body uncomfortably against her side.
"I'm not ignoring you! I'm just trying to read- ow!" she giggled as he playfully pushed her again.
"Then stop reading and pay attention to me." He whined and attempted to push the book out of her hands.
"Hey! I will if you just give me a second- Ah!" She yelped as he prodded her in the side.
"Stop ignoring meee!" He whined again, prodding her more which only made her laugh and fight him more.
"I'm not ignoring you! Hahaha, let me put the book away!" She sputtered between laughter. With an extremely dramatic groan, he let go and threw himself to the other side of the bed, facing away from her.
"Why are you sulking? Why are you such a grump?" She teased, leaning down to pinch his sides with a grin, which was met only with a conspicuous grunt. "Oh stop being such a drama queen." She teased, rousing another annoyed groan.
"You're so boring with your books and your quietness." He huffed, dramatically turning to face her again.
"Oh I'm boring am I? Sorry your lordship for not being entertaining enough for you." She mocked.
"You're as boring as Granger." He pouted. That was all she needed to hear to know she was about to end this little shit. She barked out a shocked laugh and snapped her book shut, tossing it and her wand into the bedside drawer.
"Right, you've done this to yourself now you oversized pygmy puff." She jeered, he was grinning ear to ear thinking he had won his little battle, but fear filled his eyes when Bella reached her arms across to his stomach. "Yeah." She grinned threateningly, then dived into tickling him mercilessly.
In a second, he curled up and tried to push her hands away but he was laughing too hard to gain the strength to. Her fingers wriggled all over his skin and sent electric shocks all the way up his spine until his brain was rid of thought.
"Is this better? Huh? Am I boring you now?" She teased as she dug her fingers between his ribs and along the most irritatingly sensitive areas on his waist, making him writhe with laughter.
"Ah! You're killing me!" He yelped as he roared with laughter
"Aw am I killing you? Is killing you entertaining enough for you? Or should I do this?" She ridiculed with a wide, mocking grin of her own as she amped her tickle attack up by attacking under his arms. Another yell leapt from him and his arms snapped down in an attempt to defend himself, however she was much faster and jumped right back to his stomach before he could catch her wrists. Bella continued jumping between his ticklish weak spots to avoid his defensive grip, which only made him laugh harder and squirm like a fish on land.
"Evil! You're evil!" He strained, his white-blond hair now a scruffy mess against his pillow.
"Oh now you're calling me evil, you're the one who begged for my attention! You're the one who got all huffy!" She jeered as she ruthlessly continued.
His entire body felt as though it was crackling with electricity and his skin felt aflame, his lungs were burning from laughing so hard yet he couldn't form a coherent thought to stop himself. All he was able to think about was the feelings exploding under Bella's fingertips, the rippling sensations as she danced across his skin and the melody of his laughter and her light-hearted taunting. Every muscle in his body moved of its own accord, reflexively kicking, writhing and swatting at the overwhelming feelings coursing throughout his body. Just when he thought he might be able to regain some control, Bella reached down and squeezed his knee which made him explode into hysterics, his head falling backward into the pillow again as his defences grew ever feebler. By the time she ceased her ruthless offensive, he was lost in laughter so much that he couldn't quite stop even after she let go.
It was impossible to tell weather he was laughing because of the tickling or her taunting, or even just her touch, regardless she was grinning and laughing softly with him. Whilst he was catching his breath, she would interrupt with the occasional jab or pinch just to hear him laugh again. In truth, he was usually too prideful to have fun in front of someone so to see him so comfortable made her feel special.
"Why are you smiling at me like that?" he asked, finally breathing steadily.
"Because, you're an idiot and I find it a compliment that you're this ridiculous with me." She hummed. "Of course, I would never hang this over your head whenever I want to embarrass you and absolutely no one will find out how ticklish you are and attack you in the quidditch changing rooms." She assured with heavy sarcasm.
"You dare." He threatened with a look of shock.
"Or what?" She sneered, leaning toward his face.
"Or I'll tell everyone that you had a crush on Granger and drew pictures of kissing her." He threatened, making a kissy face and mocking kissing noises as he leant closer to her.
"You do that and I'll turn you into a ferret again and feed you to a hippogriff." She hissed with a grin, their foreheads now touching.
"No you won't, you'd miss me." He hummed arrogantly, sliding one of his hands to rest against the side of her neck.
"Sure thing." She muttered sarcastically before closing the distance between their lips softly and comfortably. Draco hummed lowly against her lips to end their chatter, gently pulling her closer so he could rest his other hand on her waist. "Careful, someone might think you like me." She jeered, moving to straddle his lap so that she could kiss him again closer and more comfortably. He reciprocated with a smile and held her as though she were a delicate rose, their kisses remaining happy and soft.
"Your smile is so pretty, I would say you should smile more often but I like that it's reserved for me." He complimented smugly, earning a prod to the forehead.
"Shut up, you're the one with the fanclub that insists you can do better." She chuckled and kissed him again.
"They're all stupid and wrong." He smiled, fiddling with a lock of her hair.
"Yes they are, I won." She grinned proudly, leaning into his touch.
"You think you won? You do know I was competing against Theo, Blaise and Zacharias Smith right?" He raised his voice with a shocked grin.
"Crabbe liked me too, he couldn't have made it more obvious if he tried." She scoffed.
"Yeah but, come on, he's not really competition."
"As if any of the others were, Zacharias is far too arrogant for someone that doesn't actually know me, Theo knows damn well he's just our friend and Blaise can keep dreaming. He's hardly short of options considering he has a fanclub of his own." She grimaced as she slated the names.
"Oh right, I forgot my actual competition was Granger, my apologies." He rolled his eyes dramatically.
"Oh don't even, you know I lost all affection for her the moment she laid hands on you. You've never been in competition with anyone, is that what you wanted to hear?" She asked and pushed his head back against the pillow. The wide, shit eating grin that appeared on his face answered her question before his words.
"Yep, I just wanted you to admit I'm the best."
"Oh ha ha, the day I say those words is the day I drink straight doxycide." She quipped, leaning down to kiss him with a smile. He only chuckled into the kiss to respond, his hand still comfortably in her hair and hers around his shoulders.
