I keep thinking about how the Vees immediately and without question handled Vox's manic downslide and subsequent attempted murder-suicide of them with more empathy, love, and kindness than Charlie has handled either Vaggi's angelic reveal or her mistaken attempt to help with Vox by involving Lucifer (not to mention her reaction at Lucifer himself), which were both well-meaning and comparatively much more minor "betrayals." I think Charlie's consistent lack of empathy is a really interesting character trait for a character like her to have, because it means her first emotional responses are often very selfish, and engaging in empathy is something she has to work on. It feels fitting for her given the mission of the Hazbin Hotel, but also often gets in the way as well; see: Angel Dust giving up on redemption entirely due to her intervention.

It also gives me a lot of warm and fuzzy feelings about the Vees villainous found family!

I love this. I *love* this.

Not only does the child have the rhythm and their part down precisely, but also, they are clearly doing the very-small-child thing of reserving exactly nothing.

Children have to learn not to use all of the force they're capable of, adults mostly never use all of the force they are capable of, but here someone has given this child exactly the opportunity to use all of the force their body can produce, and do it musically.

Finally had the canon encounter with Kaveh and Alhaitham - introduction to the former, their interrelationship and so on

(The newest event about Nahida's birthday did these two a lot softer that Al's quest does, as for my interpretation of their brief appearance, btw)

The scibe has his moments of truth regarding Kaveh, I'd even dare to say that he is right about most of things. Like Kaveh seems like a big people-pleaser, with self-doubt (at least it looks like that to me) that usually do come in pair with incredible talent and passion, that he also obviously has. Overworking to appease a client, hard time putting his work into life's support action not vice versa - that's valid rock from Al. And I bet their bickering is keeping Kaveh's spirits up - outrage is a powerful motivation when you have strong morals but lack self-esteem

And in some case you can brush their disagreents into Al being considerate of all that - in his own way

But

The money situation, the whole "you'll have to pay me back" situation? That's a mood killer, honestly. This whole dynamic stinks of unhealthiness

Bickering? Okay. Kaveh is a dramatic person by himself. But the price tag on every and each service action? That's just not it

They do quarell like an old couple, tho. 5/10 only for that
