Oh, i remember this! No truck fucking, but also hard to explain...?
Basically, a lot of truckers feel VERY attached to their trucks, to the point where it's common for truckers to refer to them as their "first baby".
So, knowing this, this trucker's wife organised a photoshoot where her husband's "first baby" got to meet his "second baby". Kind of like those pregnancy photoshoots with dogs?
He thought it was great, and they shared it on social media trucker groups. In a turn i would not expect, a lot of other truckers got really emotional about it. Like, grown men cooing over a stranger's pregnancy photoshoot, going to their wives and asking if they can do something similar š„ŗš„ŗš„ŗ. All in all, strangely wholesome???
Ohhhh, the truck is the big brother :)
Like showing your baby bump to the family pet š„ŗ
the prince has begun practicing curtseying in the mirror. which could mean nothing.
we have good news and bad news, my liege. the good news is that we now know what that curtsying was about: you will be pleased to know that, after several heartfelt conversations between your child, the court jesters and a myriad of singing woodland creatures, you are now the parent of a proud and joyful new princess. the bad news is that, due to a series of events related to the dragon-sized hole in her bedchamber wall,
I love the insinuation that the second the princess realized she was a girl and thus actually a princess, the dragon was there. That thing wasted no time. It heard "princess" and was like "I need no further invitation, here I come."
Gender affirmed by Dragon. Amazing.
pretty sure youāre literally the only person who understood my vision on this accursed post
reblog if ur mom is smart and beautiful
This is one of my favorite sites on here because everyone who reblogged it truly believes it because their moms wonāt actually see it
The idea of ābut everyone knows thatā needs to stop.
I saw a post about someone chiding Millennials for not knowing about JKRowlings transphobia, and asking how it is at all possible that people can exist in the world and the internet and, you know, not know.
Which I mean, I get. It is so present in so many of my online spaces that it seems astounding that someone could simply be ignorant! It feels impossible!
But let me tell you a story:
I went on a girls trip with a bunch of friends. All of us are rather incredibly liberal and all of us are incredibly online.
One girl would not stop talking about Harry Potter.
At one point, another girl asked her why she was ok with supporting it, and she had no real clue that JK Rowling was at all transphobic. She had heard that she likes to support Lesbian causes and thought āoh ok cool!ā And that was it. She was AGOG with the news and rather horrified.
I must once again emphasize that she was an incredibly online person. Sheās a foodie and a restaurant blogger.
Later in the trip we were picking restaurants and I suggested one I found on Google, and she gasped at me. Actually gasped, asking how I could ever be okay picking that one.
The shock mustāve been on my face, because she then told me all of the shitty things that restaurateur does. He abuses staff. Underpays them. Fires them on a whim. Is known for being one of the worst people to his employees in the entire restaurant business on this coast.
And she was so shocked I had never heard of this. Because in her mind, I was just as online as her. And in her online world, EVERYONE knew about this guy.
So I think the moral of this story is: always approach the other person with some empathy. Even online people, even people you think MUST know about how bad people are, may not have heard. It may truly be just them being on a different sphere of the internet than you.
So be gentle, be kind when letting people know they might not have heard about the cancellation of XYZ person. Donāt assume that everyone knows all the same info as you.
By all means, let them know so they can make informed decisions, but being kind will go a lot further than attacking them for some info they might not know yet.
It's the reverse of XKCD's Lucky 10,000.
Sometimes you're part of the unlucky 10,000 who learns that someone or something is actually a piece of shit.
i love you green. i love you forests. i love you smell of damp earth. i love you feeling before the storm breaks. i love you moss. i love you rivers. i love you streams. i love you thunderstorms. i love you sunlight shining through leaves.
some birds are very intuitively named. looked up a sparrow going chipchipchip in my yard, it was a chipping sparrow. saw a black bird with red wings, it was a red winged blackbird. gray bird that sounds like a cat? gray catbird. the first time i saw a house finch it was perched on a windowsill. However, some birds are the red-bellied woodpecker
I gotta google something real quick
who named this bird

FUCK YOU MAN THIS IS REALLY GOOD WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THIS
don't call me a man
The other night husband and I were watching a documentary about the yeti where they were doing DNA analysis of samples of supposed yeti fur, and every one of them came back as bears.
Anyway, the next night we watched a thing about some pig man who is supposed to live in Vermont. People said it had claws and a pig nose but walked upright like a man. Now, I happen to know that sideshows used to shave bears and present them as pig men. So every piece of evidence they gave of this monster sounds to me like a bear with mange.
So now the running joke in our house is that everything is bears. Aliens? Bears. Loch Ness monster? Bear. Every cryptozoological mystery is just a very crafty bear.
Bears. Theyāre everywhere. Be wary. Anyone or anything could be a bear.
oh shit
As the OP of this post, Iām going to threaten that if this gets to one million notes by the 10 year anniversary on 1 June 2026, one year from today, I will get a lower back tattoo of the loch ness bear monster.
What?
No, What's on second.
My mom just sent me this picture of my dogā¦I guess we got a lot of snow, then

Great update
You know technology literacy is dying because I saw this meme with 76k likes
F11 the full screen button? Youāre scared of the full screen button? F10?? It opens the menu bar???
Computers are so scary what if I accidentally hit F12 in a steam game and it takes a screenshot. What if I press shift + F12 while in word and accidentally save my document š
If you had to learn what the F keys on your computer do through me reblogging this post, then I'm glad you did. Computer literacy is not a skill that gets taught anymore, and it is absolutely one that needs to be taught in order to be learned. Don't ever feel bad for not knowing something, but āļø don't ever stop learning learning about your environment, the tools you use, and especially the people around you
Never stop learning+ Never stop sharing what you learned
The ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything, is "what the fuck is 6 7"
The computer, sadly, misinterpreted the space as multiplication.
Truly the best possible outcome this post could've had
To me in 2016: if youre still on this website, fuck you but i understand
girl youre not gonna believe this
thatās an old tweet, current rate is a little over Ā£783 or $1046/wk, $52k/yr or $26/hr (or if you worked his 72 hour weeks $14.56/hr, which is still double minimum wage in the us)
Kind of fucked thinking about the fact that there is one single American legally authorized to research the critically endangered pygmy raccoon in Mexico and it is, in fact, the same person who did Dashcon.
This person is also this person
And is currently the only person from the United States legally permitted to research the critically endangered pygmy raccoons (Procyon pygmaeus) in Cozumel, Mexico.
For reference, this is me, BTW! I was 15 when I started Dashcon and 17 when it actually happens, and now study tourismās impact on the critically endangered pygmy raccoon. Iāve been researching them before now, but due to Mexicoās laws, Iāve only been allowed to do data collection from abroad (so think surveys to tourists and video analysis on social media.) But now Iām authorized for in situ research!! Yippee! I even got a grant through my university as well to fund the whole project š„ŗ
This is the reason this hellsite is truly a homesite. We grow here. You can go back and see how it happened. I was a Bachelorās student when I started my tumblr. Now Iām an Associate Professor and Curator, with my own lab and Denmarkās national collection of 70,000ish reptile and amphibian specimens in my care.
I love it here
