infinitely frustrating watching white tmes only remember that black people exist (still only men though) when told that misandry isn't real
I always wondered where does the extra e in "el esnupi" come from?
S + Consonant sound combos at the start of a word are allowed in English phonotactics but not in Spanish phonotactics, which makes these combos at the start of a word unfamiliar to pronounce for the vast majority of native Spanish speakers, who tend to automatically insert an E- sound at the start when pronouncing these words, as a way to sorta unconsciously "adapt" them to spanish pronunciation rules. (e.g. pronouncing Steven as "Estiven")
As someone who used to be an ESL teacher here in Latin America, I noticed the tendency to do this in the vast majority of my students. Unless they've already developed an ear for English phonotactics, it's a very hard habit to break because most people don't even consciously realize they're doing it.
It also tends to result in a lot of people who aren't fluent in written English inserting an e at the start of S + Consonant words they're unfamiliar with the spelling of, because they write them down the way they'd pronounce them.

trans women? of course I draw trans women! here, here's a piece i drew recently. look, you can see the small cis woman right there, she weighs about 80 lbs as is average, and here's the trans woman i drew. she's 7 feet tall and ripped with an 8 pack and huge muscles and has a dick that's a third of the size of the other girl. she's also dominate and the cis girl is submissive. it's progressive! look, she's overpowering the cis woman to have sex with her! isn't this nice? don't you like your futanari- i mean trans woman representation?
BREADBRAIN
real talk tho ive seen ppl talk abt how long hair on men isn't intrinsically feminine & assuming so is racist can we get the same convo going for Black women w short hair can we start talking abt how short hair isn't intrinsically masculine or is that a step too far
idw hear any more white people's opinions on this topic bc it's so clear they do not get it but they're soooo confident they do...... "well nothing is intrinsically masculine or feminine" yesss it's almost as though every culture has its own constructed gender norms which is why these values r culturally relative & why it's racist to impose eurocentric gender expectations on racialized bodies. all well & good to say femininity & masculinity should be completely abolished but what are you going to do for the Black women who are being labelled masc or gender non-conforming right now for not aligning with white gender norms that exclude them by design. "gender norms are social constructs do whatever you want forever" isn't enough we need to be saying "Black women are assumed to be deviating from gender norms just by existing even when they are purposefully expressing femininity bc western gender structures are built upon whiteness" like you've got to start by dismantling the racism & white supremacy inherent in these structures or you will leave racialized women behind

I have kind of a niche political view on tumblr, which is that I think misogyny is bad even when it’s just hurting women
and I don’t even think it needs to have a singular benefit for men for feminism and the abolition of patriarchy to be worthwhile
in fact the abolition of patriarchy could be a net loss for men and I would still think that feminism and the abolition of patriarchy was worth it
hiii @june-egbert-official (from your wording i'm assuming you intended this to be an ask instead of a submission so i'm answering it like this)
thank you so much <3
sorry to everyone out there who thinks they have the funniest tshirt but i think i can confidently say i just saw the actual funniest tshirt just now. i passed by a beautiful black woman with long multicolor braids blowing majestically in the beach breeze & she was wearing an oversized tshirt that said in gigantic letters "WHITE BOY OF THE YEAR"
*adds something to my cart* I'm about to make an amazing digital purchase
im cute and everybody loves me
There are people on tumblr dot com who will see and know their mutual lives in their car literally down the street, drive past them every day and never say hi, they will see another recognizable trans woman their literal mutual they shared the selfie of the other day sleeping in a car down the street every day, look you straight in the eye and then pretend they didn't, they probably heard you screaming the other night while you were being physically and socially murdered, those people just can't imagine any plank with a person sleeping outside even if they jerked off to your nudes and regularly share your posts.
I have seen way too many recognizable trans women mutuals notice me living in an obviously houseless persons car sleeping in their neighborhood in 5 years sleeping on the street in Portland and do nothing. I've met so many actually shitty and shallow trans women here who I know could have helped me escape houselessness, we could have been friends in another life but I watched you watching me.
I know there are people even trans women in Portland who are sowing discord about vulnerable trans women and, because people uncritically believe any bullshit people spread about trans women, are just getting in the way of trans women who are just trying to escape houselessness and controlling a conversation about them before anyone ever meets them.
I've seen people tripping over themselves spreading lies about trans women (even me) in queer housing groups deliberately getting in the way of trans women like me escaping houselessness.
Expie passed intelligence test by pure random and got in smart class. But they just wanted to play..
