Tumblr appears to have removed the floating user icons that used to be to the left of posts indicating whose post/reblog you're looking at. You can still see whose it is, but only by the username at the top of the post; it's much harder to tell at a glance.
This is the first of the recent UI changes that I actively dislike. Put the fuckin icons back >:c
It's a design decision that feels like it's going "You're only here for the Content™ right? Doesn't really matter who's posting or reblogging it, you just wanna see the posts don't you!" and like. No, actually, I'm here for people not content. Even if it's a reblog with no comment or tag, knowing who decided to share it is vital context. The content is worth almost nothing without that context. I want that context to be as evident as possible please
None of the other social media does this either which makes it even weirder. Icons are prominent everywhere. Everyone relies on them to keep track of who's commenting. They've been an essential part of internet interaction since the days of web forums. Hello?!?

i almost feel like the internet is less usable than it was ten years ago. i guess there are more features but nothing runs smoothly, every site i go on has a subscription popup i have to close three times, there are ads covering the screen that have tiny little x marks you can't click, toolbars take up half the screen, search functions are shit, i have to fight against a million little annoyances just to find things. im not trying to romanticize the past internet and im sure it was more annoying than i remember, but the experience of doing anything online nowadays is filled with so much frustration

So when I was in school The Blind side was one of the like... 3 movies the school always played during testing season and it's essentially playing a movie for the classes that don't have a test so we can sit down and shut up for those testing or some shit (I don't exactly remember the circumstances it's been a while since I been in school). The other movie I remember was Remember the Titans but that's irrelevant.

White savior complex aside, it really feels like the movie implies he's less intelligent than he is (nothing wrong with being less intelligent but adding that the Black man is dumb in a white savior movie is the most racist thing).
