Shout out to OCD folks who struggle with "Just right" ocd who might be triggered by the non-nuanced wording of "OCD isn't needing everything to be a certain way/isnt needing everything to be in its place" in response to people misusing OCD to mean a quirky personality trait.
I see you! Mentally, I am offering you a bowl of soup.
āthe intrusive thoughts wonā āthatās psychoticā āiām so delusional hahaā ānarcissistic abuseā āthe weather is so bipolarā SHUT UP!!!!!! SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!
Heres a reminder for you that being dissociated isn't limited to the common misconception where you are frozen in place, incapable of doing anything or even thinking, or experiencing a significant time gap,, those things.
And while its hard to spot the milder signs when you're dissociating, don't worry i got you covered by bringing awareness, im showing what those signs could look like:
Dazing/blanking out several times
Hands looking weird (depersonalization)
Surroundings also looking weird (derealization)
Feeling detached emotionally, physically, or both
Light-headedness
Less reactive in responding
Forget things more often
Unable to focus or keep concentration straight
When you have multiple of those signs at once, then chances are you are dissociating (extra note that it can also co-occur with derealization/depersonalization). While it can be caused by various factors, i would like to add that it may or may not get worse as time passes and no one wants that thing to snowball until it got too bad (remember, preventing now is better than dealing later) so having a few tips would help:
Grounding (sensory): listening to music, feeling different textures, paying attention to things in your surroundings, trying different fragrant or scents, have some snacks to occupy your senses
Grounding (physically): feel your chest as you breathe, get your body moving to redirect focus, splash some cold water, hold something you can squeeze (such as a stress ball)
Practice being mindful. As it can help you re-anchor back to reality faster, regulate better, building more resilience, increasing awareness of oneself's state
Sometimes we go do our day without giving a thought that were detached from reality, usually by going autopilot and scrolling through social medias without being aware (well, atleast for me) and forget lots of things while being dysregulated at the end. So by being aware of the mild signs and incorporating grounding skills im sure memory gaps and those funny aftermath stuffs won't be a problem anymore, have a good day peeps.

Shout out to systems who have to deal with the bodyās health problems. I forgot to take our medication last night, and today is already a million times harder than it needed to be because of that.
Youāre all so strong, dealing with this. Whatever the problem is, I hope the pain associated with it (physical, mental, emotional, and all the spectrums inbetween) passes quickly. Good luck. Youāve got this!
I sent an ask bc im not shy /lhj
Lmao well that's good! I like asks š

You are awesome
Awe thank you!
Me: *realising that Iāve dissociated so far from my mental and physical problems that Iāve developed DID*
Me: So, I fear I may have girl-bossed a bit to close to the sun
Shout out to all introjects that donāt follow their source or even hate their source. You are valid and deserve respect.
Especially if you are a fictive of a different gender from your source and use a different name. You are so valid and deserve love and respect.
I'm so over the troupe of having a "split personality" and one of them is basically evil and likes to hurt people. Yeah persecutors are a thing, but we really don't need to demonize them nor the disorder itself. It's overused and old and ableist. -Kade
Why do endos get so many safe spaces and positivity stuff? I donāt get it. Why do they need it? āEndo safe, pro endo, endo safe spaceā. Why donāt DIDOSDD systems get any of that? Why do endos feel the need to invade our spaces when they already have so many of their own? Arenāt we the ones who need that help and support?
Endos <3
just a friendly reminder that the only valid system is a traumagenic system! <3 It's not possible to have a disorder without the symptoms, and it's not possible to have a disorder without a reason. And for those of you who say "well what about adhd? well what about depression? well what about xyz" well... adhd is a neurodivergence, it's caused by the brain not processing things like a "normal" brain would. Depression is caused by a chemical imbalance. These two have reasons, actual reasons. Endogenic systems are the equivalent of saying "i have ADHD but i can focus 100% and i don't forget things at all, and I never ever get overwhelmed" you see how *wrong* that sounds? if anyone else said that they'd be called an ableist.
thinking about the whole "mixed origin" thing and how little sense it makes. did/osdd-1 are inherently caused by trauma. that is not a debate point, it is proven fact. this means that every single alter in a system exists due to trauma. there are not any that are "endognic" in origin. it is not always severe trauma that causes new splits to happen. high and/or prolonged stress can make it happen as well. splits can happen due to certain events long after those events have taken place. that does not mean that the split is not at all tied to trauma/stress. sometimes coping mechanisms do not immediately kick in. splitting is the brain's way of coping when one has did/osdd-1. splitting new alters is possible because of the trauma one went through as a child that put the original dissociative barriers in place. the very root cause of new splits will always be trauma.
Realising you have more amnesia than you ever noticed, is really hard. Itās scary.
Realising that it isnāt normal to not remember such big chunks of your week.
Realising you donāt remember what youāve said to friends, when they tell you; āyouāve said this many times beforeā.
Realising you donāt know what āyouā talked about in therapy, even less than an hour later.
What else do I not remember?
Amnesia, even without overt parts/not necessarily ācoming toā in different environments, is still scary. You feel like you have no control. Powerless. Isnāt that why I have parts to begin with? To cope with feeling like I had no control & was powerless in much worse situations as a kid. Doesnāt seem like such a great coping mechanism now, brain.
Fuck anyone who makes this shit up for fun. Having DID is not fun. This is just one tiny thing & this is more than enough to not want to have this shit.
