13 Reasons Why | Season 2
I wanted to talk about 13RW a little. This is not a review, just my personal opinion about the show.
I’ve followed the show since last year. I’ve had time to watch season 2. Just like season 1, I think it let people know of what happens at school every day. Teenagers are harassed, mistreated and devalued. This show reflects how hard and violent things are in this world. I know what it feels like, when you think everyone is against you, like you’re not normal. But you’re not alone and you don’t have to be ashamed of asking for help.
If you feel bad, broken, don’t ever think you are the only one. Because it’s not the truth. A lot of people are in pain every day.
I think Hannah’s story can help many people to understand that you can ask for help, even if you think there is no other way. There is always another way, and you deserve better. Life is not easy, and it shouldn’t be that hard for some people to find their place in this world. But you deserve to find your place in this world, your purpose. Anyone can stop you from being yourself.
Concerning the final episode, I was very shocked to be honest (I’m 21). Even if I knew it, the hardest part is to realize that it happens in real life, every day. It’s unacceptable.
So I want to warn you. Personally, I think young people shouldn’t watch the show. But it’s my personal opinion. I’m not your parents. But you have to be informed that certain scenes are very shocking and can disturb you. It reflects the reality, there is no filter.
Stay safe and keep in mind that this is not your story. This is Hannah’s and other characters’. Even if it reminds you of your personal story, you have to remember that you have a choice to seek help. What happened to Hannah happened to other teenagers. But we can use available resources to give a better life to those who are living in pain, who need help. So please, be good to one another and do not do to others what you would not want done to you.
