Wait are iPhone bros coping because Apple has to be more universal? Lol.
Boo hoo i'll be able to add more physical storage to my phone and be able to change out batteries if they degrade as well as all these other optional features I won't have to touch
Continuing in the trend of political cartoons depicting milquetoast moderate positions seem so much cooler and more badass than they are
I love how they add totally absurd things no one is asking for to make the idea look crazy. And still, I must emphasize, failing to make this look like a bad idea.
"Is this what you want? Is this ugly stupid bullcrap what you want??" the biggest loudest idiot in the room asks, holding up a picture of the hottest looking shit I've ever seen
method actor this method actor that. toshiro mifune played a guy getting shot at by arrows by getting shot at by arrows

summer sufferers poll: would you rather have…
the ability to repel all bugs so they can’t touch/bite/sting you
the ability to always be at a comfortable temperature while outside
no chafing ever again
The bugs one bcs I'm immune compromised and bugs carry diseases 👍
you won't begin to believe how much I pace my house going "I like dry food! I like playing with shoelaces!" like I spiritually am this cat
As Aromantic Visibility Day (June 5th) approaches this year, friendly reminder from an aroace: it's Aromantic Visibility Day, not "Aroace" Visibility Day! Not all aromantics are also asexual — there are aromantics who are allosexual (aroallos for short), aromantics who don't separately label their sexual orientation at all, and aromantics whose sexual orientation doesn't fit into an ace/allo binary, as well as likely even more aros who don't fit into "aroace" for even more reasons — and all of them are equally included in Aromantic Visibility Day, because they are equally aromantic! In fact, those aros who aren't ace are disproportionately erased and in need of visibility, even more than aroaces are (which is really saying something, because aroace visibility itself is already terrible), so including them in Aromantic Visibility Day is vital, and using the correct name for the occasion instead of calling it an "aroace day" is a start.
Overall: again, speaking as an aroace myself, we aroaces will not be offended if you just call Aromantic Visibility Day the thing it is actually called! I care about sharing this upcoming day with my fellow aros, so stop excluding them, even accidentally! We aroaces celebrate this day but it is not for us exclusively!
After school care pulled me aside about my child dropping an f-bomb “without remorse” and I put on my concerned face and nodded a bunch.
Apparently he was building something with a younger kid “who really looks up to him and is just starting to make friends” and said “Hey, you’re really fucking good at this.” which is, in my estimation, really a parenting victory.
I absolutely failed at doing this:
i've been phasing the phrase 'google it' out of my vocabulary and going back to 'look it up'. fuck you youve lost your generic trademark privileges

awww the like button turns into a rainbow when you press it! that's so cute...hey staff what's with all the trans women you keep nuking?
i think we should be ridiculing them more for this. you don't get to try and go all "queer website" when your staff likes to go on nuking sprees targeting the trans fem users
would be remiss not to mention that the rainbow notably straight up just removed the trans flag colors from it. like they’re gone. it’s the progress flag minus the trans flag colors.
that’s not the whole flag, now is it
hey staff what the fuck
hey staff don't you think you're being too on-the-nose
COME THE FUCK ON!

“be gay do crime! but sex is yucky and crime is wrong!” ass website
i appreciate this, but in a world where your gay brothers and sisters are being actively punished if not outright killed for having sex—in a fascist society that is trying to make gay sex a crime and has successfully done so in the past, in ways that still harm us today—we have GOT to be there for gay sex and the people having it. it doesn’t make you any less gay not to have sex, but that’s not something bigots are going to take into account, and if they do, it only stands to make you “one of the good ones” and pit you against your siblings and loved ones. whether someone personally wants sex or not, i think we have a responsibility to defend the people who do just as much as the people who don’t.
Sure, but it’s not been long since this entire website was virulently anti-asexuals so that’s probably worth keeping in mind too. We actually don’t defend people who don’t have sex very much at all. And trust me, the bigots don’t love it either so.
i dont disagree that asexual people have faced hostility, including on this website.
“don't stigmatize gay sex" and "don't stigmatize asexuality" are compatible positions. we can and should defend both. what im pushing back against is a strain of rhetoric that treats consensual sex as inherently suspect, gross, or morally dubious. that line of thinking is not in defense of asexual people; its a judgment of people who have (gay) sex
speaking as an asexual (not that I need to qualify my objectively correct opinion), people should really be grown up to recognise that being sex-repulsed is something internal to them and saying stuff like "sex is yucky and gross" is overall harmful and also self-infantilising
formative years? aren’t they all?
