yeah i think the worst part for me is that i truly believe neither of them would ever actually ask or even expect the other to compromise on their ambition and the parts of their respective careers that matter the most but it got to a point where it just wasn’t possible for both of them to chase what they wanted career wise and still be happy together and that neither of them Could give up more than they’d given up while trying to make it work without compromising on said ambition. so you know, she really walked out and said she’s setting both of them free lol and they both know it’s for the best but i fully believe it really fucking hurts for now
