I think leftists need to refer to the United States as a slave (nation) state more often. It has one of the highest prison populations per capita of any nation, slavery is legal as punishment for a crime, and Black people are disproportionately imprisoned and given longer sentences. The prison industrial complex is modern-day slavery

Hey! I'm an ex convict, I did time at a prison unit called Cummins, in Arkansas, it's called " the farm" or alternatively, " the plantation" and, yeah! You're absolutely correct! This nation uses carceral slave labor! I myself was subject to this!

If you want to interview someone who has been through this, or know anyone who would want to conduct an interview please let me know, I got out last February and would love to discuss how this system works from my perspective, as an well read politically conscious ex convict.

I'm blue collar, never went to college but love to read, and write, and think about how a lot of my fellow people within said system don't have the same luxury of, vocab.. I'd like to be able to tell the real, true stories of carceral slavery.
