Deck of no things.
Fuck you.
Deck of less than nothing
Draw a card and something disappears
Might be your wounds
Might be your rassions
Might be the BBEG
Might be the snails in your ears
The types of arguments characters in fiction can make to convince each other:
The argument of intimidation You need to do … or I will do ...
The argument of trade If you do … I will give you ...
The argument of love You should do …, it is what … would want
The argument of honor An honorable person would do …
The argument of ethics A good person would do …
The argument of faith Your belief in … dictates you do ...
The argument of debt You should do … because someone did … in the past
The argument of culture A person from … should do ...
The argument of law The law dictates you should ...
The argument of self-interest Doing … will help you in what you are trying
The argument of bond You should do … for me
The argument of rank You should do … because I outrank you
The argument of pity Please do …, otherwise … will happen to ...
The argument of fun You would like to do ...
The argument of wrath Doing ... would harm ...
The argument of justice ... deserves for you to do ...
The argument of safety Nothing would go wrong because you do ... I think it be so cool to have a political TTRPG where characters can be vulnerable to some arguments and resistant to others. But it could also be an interesting writing reference if you write out any discussion. Which ones did I miss?
If these arguments were turns you can take in a political / social TTRPG, you should be able to take more turns than making an argument.
Enquire: gain more knowledge of the situation that can be used to create new arguments at the cost of losing dominance over the conversation
Insight: gain more knowledge about what mental state the antagonist is in, which argument types are effective right now and how to put them in a different mental state.
Manipulate emotions: bring the antagonist in a different metal state (ex. Scaring them or frustrating them, but also calming them down or cheering them up) to change what types of arguments will be effective.
Deceive: same as exposition but with false information. This comes at a risk of losing all credibility if found out.
Exposition: give the antagonist more information, so that you can make new arguments in the next turn. It could be a challenge to actually make them believe and come at a risk of losing their interest.

be the reason your DM has to rework a mechanic twice.
No, be the reason your DM says "oh damn" trice.
this draft is so old that we‘ve fully played and finished the campaign this pc is from. This is @pennypenini s water genasi detective girlie, Belladonna Thorn. She invented gaslight gatekeep girlboss, and effectively utilised girlpower by breaking a total of like 3 or 4 hearts over the course of a survival horror game with basically no intended romance.
Like the waves she'll push and pull
She pulled me with that shy smile
I only held her for a while
My soul felt whole and heart felt full
Like the waves she'll push and pull
Like the waves in her hair
I can't help but stare
She bends my words and me to her will
Like the Waves she'll push and pull
Yes she pushed me away
I begged her to stay
My Broken heart and throbbing skull
A rock they once called me
Now eroded to dust by the sea
all the dangers from which you should flee
Her smile is most dangerously
Astronaut readjusts to life back on Earth

HE GRABS THE CUP BUT THEN HE DROPS THE PEN 0.0003 SECONDS LATER

I CAN’T STOP LAUGHING HE JUST DROPS IT
IT’S NOT FUNNY IT’S VERY LOGICAL THAT HE WOULD HAVE ADJUSTED TO LIVING LIFE WHILE HE WAS IN SPACE BECAUSE IT’S DIFFERENT FROM EARTH BUT I CAN’T FUCKING BREATHE

Our organisations offensive objective: overrun the old oligarch and obtain every opal ornate
Not next night, it's now or never and we will never not need a notable noble navigator like you @dragons-locator, so let's negotiate.
When I ran this, a stegosaurus and a wooly mammoth both backed into a corner, together. They took a defensive stance, having recognized that they have similar defensive strategies. The corner they protected was the exit.
