PLEASE KEEP HIM IN YOUR DUAS FOR A SAFE RETURN
this is scary considering how many Somali boys have been murdered in Alberta in the past decade. the stats are ridiculous and the vast majority of these murders are unsolved. i pray for his safe return to his family and I pray to an end to the violence that’s taken the lives of so many young Somali men who move out west in search of work
the habitual rebranding of non-white people/queer people/women fighting for their own rights as “SJWs” and then attacking this now-genderless/sexless/orientationless/raceless and therefore inoffensive, impersonal mass of humanity is one of the more ingenious forms of bigotry i’ve seen people get away with
I think I had a good day on twitter today.
blewp.
Welp.

Signal boost for any of my followers who need art programs!
The cs2 programs date back only a few years, and still have much of the functionality of today’s more modern ones. The differences between most of the versions are little more than slight modifications or additions of minor features, and UI changes. Go for it guys!!
Also, in case the page is down, here are the download links + serials.
Signal boost for you too, I downloaded it and use Photoshop CS2 to draw now c: enjoy, this is legit!

Venezuela 22/02/2014
"Cacerolazo" is a form of protest where we do loud sounds with kitchen objects, last night at my uncle’s residence the neighbors were doing this to express they disagree with the government, it was a normal Cacerolazo like any other, 2 hours later the protest was over and the police came by to show them how the "peace of Maduro" looks like, they broke the gates and invaded the residence; Children, women and elders were hit by the cops (not violent groups, the real cops, with uniforms and guns).
My young cousin was at her friend’s not far from there and my uncle was desperate and fear for her, the police showed before they don’t care much if you are a woman or underage. My uncle went out to find her and then the police saw him and shot him with bird shots and started to hit him as well, his wife and son ran to him to tell the cops he was not a riot or a criminal, their response was bird shots for my aunt and cousin.
They could get out and leave the place without being caught by the police, they took several people with them to the quarters, arrested.
My aunt told me today in tears how they got inside the houses and took people out to hit them and arrest them, a girl was taken from under her bed crying of terror, a man was enclosed in a room and turned off the lights to hit him in the dark, that was an older man, they almost killed him by breaking his head, he’s now in the hospital and his son arrested.
Remember i told you there were people saying cops were asking for money to release the arrested? now i can tell it’s true, not only that, they destroyed houses and took cell phones, laptops and what they could.
This is the peace of Maduro, for anyone who cares the cops were the police of the municipality Simon Bolivar, in the state Anzoategui, both mayor and governor are Chavistas. Not a single action or investigation is taking place.
I forgot to mention the location where this happened is far from being a rich location, it’s a humble place full with humble people Chavez promised to protect. This war is not against the rich, is against everyone who thinks differently.
Venezuela
Today another student died. This girl (Geraldine Moreno) was shot in the face by a GNB (Bolivarian National Guard), and after three days of fighting for her life, she died. And the goverment don’t say anything.
Guys the situation in my country is not a game, we, the people in the protest, just asking for solutions, solutions for our country. Nothing more.
15 years of bad policy and here we are: a shortage of food, shortage of medicines and equipment operations, with insecurity, with a really bad economic crisis and police and GNB shooting in our face. We have the right of protests, is a constitutional right.
El que se rinde pierde.

Venezolanos protestando en Boston el 22 de febrero de 2014
Sorry this is so long but I would appreciate if you read it :)
Ok can I just point out the fact that even before all these violent protests in venezuela I was still terrified. We have been planning to go to Venezuela this summer since November (to visit family) and I am not going to lie I was terrified of getting on that plane and arriving at night. I was terrified that while I was going to be there I was going to get robbed or even shot. I worried about what clothes I was going to take because I was scared that if I wear something decent I was going to get robbed. I was afraid that I might not get in touch with other people during the summer because I would have to leave my phone at home so it wouldn’t get robbed. And if I were to have my phone I would constantly worry about someone seeing my phone in my pocket and try to rob me.
I moved to the US when I was 8 (2007) I guess it might have been because I was too young to understand the actual problems going on; too busy being in my own world, I guess. But I can assure you that things have never been this horrible. I was raised thinking that everything would be so much Bette when Chavez was gone. I never knew life before him as president. And I believed that. I remember being with my parents when the election’s results were released. Every year Chavez won. I would think how stupid people were, why would they still vote for Chavez? Do they not see what was happening and whose fault it really was? And I came to realize, Venezuela isn’t stupid. We were lied to, we were played with, we were tortured. And now? Now were are fighting, fighting for what we lost, what we deserve.
I was terrified. I AM terrified. Why? We are fighting for something we shouldn’t have even lost in the first place.
And that’s the scariest of all.
