Zajímal by mě nějaký čumblr konsensus na skauty a pionýry. Vím, že pionýr nese stigmata komunismu. Na druhou stranu bych v souladu s tendencemi vlastenectví očekávala preferencí pionýrů před skauty?

smerem ke skautingu a vlastenectví chci říct, že českej skauting má stoletou historii a je velmi svébytnej v porovnání se skautingem jinde

Tohle sem přesně taky chtěla dodat, tak su ráda, že se toho už někdo ujal :) v rámci ankety je to totální non-issue, ale je to velmi zajímavé. Pod cutem rant o českým junáctví hihi

Ačkoli je český skaut převzatý od toho anglického, tak tu máme mnoho vlastních vlivů. Víc než anglickým Baden-Powellem se Svojsík inspiroval americkým woodcrafterem Setonem (v základech junáctví ho dokonce zmiňuje přednostně před B-P). Základy junáctví jsou celkem poučné v tomhle, protože do nich přispívalo mnoho osobnosti té doby, kdy se pohybujeme ještě před vznikem republiky! Polívčičku si tam například ohřál první předseda vlády Karel Kramář s článkem o vztahu Rakouska k Čechům (aspoň myslím) nebo spisovatelé Rais, Thám a Jirásek. Ilustrace tomu dělal Mikoláš Aleš a do znaku dal chodského psa. Zkrátka u zrodu českého Junáka byla totální hvězdná pěchota.

Dalším docela důležitým faktorem byl vztah k církvi. Anglický skauting byl vždy pevně spjatý s křesťanskou morálkou, ze které koneckonců vychází. Sám Baden-Powell byl součástí anglikánské církve, která má v čele panovníka Spojeného království. Tam je tedy církev a vlastenectví provázané. No, ale co v Čechách, kde katolictví prosazují rakouští Habsburské, od kterých se snažíme odtrhnout? Tady jsme mimochodem dodnes jedna z mála skautských organizací, která má ve slibu pouze dobrovolný dodatek o Bohu namísto aby byl přímo Bůh součástí samotného slibu.

Anyway, asi konec rantu. Doufám, že dával smysl. Toto není útok ani hate na OP nebo pionýry, jen je to téma, který mě zajímá a měla jsem potřebu k tomu něco napsat. A pokud vám po tomhle připadá skaut jako kult, tak... jo, trochu, ale aspoň u toho máme swag ⚜️😎

I recently saw this statue of Saint Mary and her mother – Saint Anna in a museum. It made me think about the fact that I, in my almost 20 years of living, have never seen a depiction of Mary as a young girl with her parents. There's no deeper thought in this, it just made me pause and consider it.
