I cried for 3 days when I realized my next dog can't be a Labrador and must be a standard poodle but then I got over it and now I'm on the poodle train.

Female figurine (marble) found in Thessaly, dating to 5300-3300 BCE, the period in Greece known as the Late Neolithic. Female figurines in various materials--clay, limestone, or marble like this one--dating to the Late Neolithic have been found throughout Greece, including on Aegean islands such as Karpathos. Their simplified, stylized depiction of human anatomy has been seen as a precursor to the Cycladic art style prevalent from the end of the Neolithic into the early Bronze Age. The significance of the figurines is much debated: perhaps inevitably, they have sometimes been read as fertility deities, but without knowledge of their broader cultural context, no meaning or meanings can be called definite.

When I was at the natural history museum, the fossil section had stickers on the glass to engage children - things like "Flap your arms like a pterodactyl" or "Measure your hand against the mosasaurus." However the first of these I encountered, which I found alarming and threatening without context, was a sticker reading "Struggle like you are stuck in a tar pit"
I feel like more bright colors, an exclamation mark, or a more whimsical font choice would've also helped here to indicate that it is a Fun Activity For Children. Instead it felt like getting instructed in my inevitable fate by a road sign

I hope this child never understands what I've had to do for her. I hope she is shielded from everything that happened and only remembers the good going forward. I am so very glad I am me, that I'm stubborn, and that I didn't give up like every one else did. Because every kid needs someone who will never stop fighting for them.
