we don't talk enough about barbara being suicidal and almost attempting to jump off the hospital building after her injury

people always talk about tkj as if the result (her disability) is the big tragedy but what always haunted babs was the SA and the lack of agency she had (meta commentary here too). that's why one of the first things she does when she's less depressed is look for a teacher (richard dragon) to help her learn how to fight while in her wheelchair. her tragedy was never being a disabled woman, that's why that should never be erased. her tragedy was losing agency.
