maintaining relationships with people is so difficult for no good reason. what are you supposed to do when you miss someone and want to talk to them more? Say you miss them and that you want to talk to them more? That's all bullshit
New reaction image for ‘posting something on the internet and having it be wildly misinterpreted’

So you know how in EP 179 Basira says to Jon, "You apologize too much", to which he replies, "Martin says the same thing", and then Basira says, "Like he's any better"?
So yeah, this little interaction inspired me to crunch some numbers. And believe it or not, but Martin is, in fact, better!
Statistically speaking.
Over 5 seasons, Jon apologizes 122 times, while Martin apologizes 91 times.
The main difference between these two is that Jon apologizes more frequently and for everything (especially in S5), whereas Martin piles up multiple 'sorry's per apology.
Nothing illustrates that better than this little tidbit, which coincidentally comes from EP 179, as well!
EP 179 is *also* The Most Sorry Episode™: it sits at 9-4 with Martin in the lead!
Impressive work all around! (I'm incredibly concerned. These two need help.)
[ID: the first image is a line graph titled "It's Always 2 Insecure Bitches Telling Each Other 'I'm sorry. - It's fine.'" It shows the number of times Martin or Jon has said "sorry" in each season. The data is
S1: Martin 9, Jon 5
S2: Martin 4, Jon 16
S3: Martin 27, Jon 15
S4: Martin 6, Jon 25
S5: Martin 45, Jon 61
The second image is a transcript screenshot reading, "Martin: Sorry! Sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" /end ID]
me looking up the definition of a word i totally know the meaning of i just have to make sure it didn’t change for some reason or i made it up
The last week has been so ridiculous even the satirists can’t take it any more
the fucking timestamp
We haven’t gotten enough mileage out of the phrase “cock-bongos” though.
your muscles being pleasantly sore after exercise is such a nice incentive I can see why they patched that in. the forced regular logins to avoid losing progress however are a predatory practice and deserve nothing but scorn.
Still wrapping my head around the fact the phrase "Hold Your Horses" is a play on the word Stable...
To be stable.
obsessed w how none of these are the real origin of the phrase
They couldn't have Bela and Ruby meet because it would have ended with them making out sloppy style while Sam sulked in the cuck chair and Dean lay bleeding to death on the floor
Forgive me followers for I am thinking about Bela Talbot again.
She must have tried to ask for help so many times during her childhood ("You wouldn't understand. No one did."). She tries to find someone to listen but no one believes her and even if they do, no one helps her. By the age of 14 she understands no one is coming. No one will save her, no one will take care of her. The only person who finally agrees to help her demands her life and soul in return. So, fine. If no one else is going to do it, she will take care of herself. She will never owe anyone anything again. Even when she happens to need the help of the Winchester brothers, afterwards she throws 10 grand at them so she won't have to say "thank you" or consider herself in their debt.
But then it's two minutes to midnight and she's crying in a motel room. She knows she's going to die so she asks for help. She begs for it. And she gets mocked and reminded she's nothing but a selfish bitch who deserves no grace or sympathy.
"We need more complex characters-" SHUT UP SHUT UP YOU COULDN'T EVEN HANDLE HER
It's ALWAYS different when it's a woman, isn't it?
Bela Talbot makes me so sick the way she was so alone from beginning to end. The very fact that there were several points where, sure, she could have asked for help, makes it sadder because she grew up in such a way that she could never let herself trust anyone, and would have rather had people see her as a monster than show some kind of vulnerability. The very people who were supposed to love her the most and look after her abused her horribly and the only one to ever 'help' her was a literal demon and that came at a steep price. How was she ever supposed to find it in herself to open herself up and ask for help again?
Did the cult of the lightless flame celebrate Agnes' birthday like any other birthday or do you think they would lean into the Messiah thing so much they had like, Agnesmas, like Christmas but it's Agnes
