Pokémon Sun/Moon PSA
For the mere few who follow me, I will be doing what I can to block anything concerning Pokémon Sun & Moon leaks. I’m going through this on Youtube, and the same here.
I had seen this on my Youtube feed, so I had to check it out, so I had to check it for myself. Yes, Verlis is a bit loud-mouthed and self-centered, but he does mean well. After watching his video, I felt like I had to say something to The Dex, even if it fell upon deaf ears. Below is what I wrote on their comments. “First of all, I was lead to this video by Verlisify. He may be a loudmouth, but he does point things out for us.As a fan of your channel over the years, I had to check to see if things were true. I had to see if what he was saying was true. I can honestly say that while I'm not the greatest player, I take pride that each Pokemon that I catch, raise, and breed. Not ONCE have I ever resorted to cheating or modifying my game in order to get the upper hand. But after hearing that all the love and care I put into raising and battling means nothing, and that if one wants to 'git gud' on the VGC circuit, I need to resort to cheating? No. NO. I will not accept that, and you shouldn't either. This goes AGAINST the VERY spirit of being a Pokemon Trainer. By generating your Pokemon, you don't have the same bond that you would by playing the game as it should be played. They become less and less your companions as the video game and anime suggest, and more like tools to use to your own end. You have effectively spat in the face of people. I thought you were better than this.”
Greetings, Trainers!
Welcome to October, folks! It's going to be a big month for Pokemon.
Not only do we have the Mystery Gift Keldeo this month, we'll also be graced with a serial cold for Gen VI's Volcanion.
Despite this, there will be a lot of changes as we head to the end of October, as the Global Link will be undergoing an 'evolution' of it's own, as we get closer and closer to the dawn of Sun and Moon.
So, what does that mean for us? A removal of several features, for one.
With the change, you'll no longer have access to check your logbook on the PGL. You also won't be able to make to register any additional Gen VI games to your current account, and you won't be able to Game Sync anymore. Also the attractions will be going away, so if you have extra PokeMiles floating around, you may want to go on one last shopping spree.
In terms of battle matchups, rating battles will be removed, but Free Battles will remain. And luckily, you'll still be able to receive Mystery Gifts. Oh, and the GTS? That’ll stay up too.
Gen VI Global Link will still live on, just in a minimized form. This is a step ahead of the DS titles, and is nice to still see them have online support that as well.
So trainers, be prepared! Our current adventures will still live on, but next month a new adventure awaits us!
(via https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpsq0wKykwE) Just saw this video this afternoon and I’ve got to say that she is pretty much right on the money with this.
Got Pokemon Red for the 3DS Virtual Console earlier this month... This is nothing but furthering my hype for Sun/Moon.

Ah, remembered the name! It’s the Orchid Mantis! (Hymenopus coronatus)
I have wanted a pokemon of these lil badasses ever since I first saw Scyther all the long ago, and now a dream has come true. I couldn’t ask for anything better!
Category: Sickle Grass Pokémon Type: Grass Height: 1’00” Weight: 3.3 lbs. Ability: Leaf Guard
Fomantis is nocturnal, and it performs photosynthesis while it sleeps during the day by spreading out its leaves in all directions. Because of the danger of staying in the same location two days in a row, Fomantis begins its search for the next day’s spot as soon as the sun sets. For Fomantis, photosynthesis is not just a source of energy—it is a necessity to achieve the strength and brilliant coloration of its evolved form. Photosynthesis is precious to Fomantis, and it will fiercely attack those who get in the way of that process. Fomantis excel at long-range attacks like Razor Leaf and Solar Beam. Solar Beam is indeed a powerful move, but since it uses up the energy that the Pokémon has stored through photosynthesis, Fomantis rarely uses it.
Category: Bloom Sickle Pokémon Type: Grass Height: 2’11” Weight: 40.8 lbs. Ability: Leaf Guard
Lurantis draws opponents near to itself with its flowerlike appearance and aroma—and then it takes them down. It’s said to be the most gorgeous of all Grass-type Pokémon, due to its brilliant coloration and elegant moves. Lurantis’s appearance is maintained through detailed grooming. It will trust a Trainer who does a good job of caring for it, but it will apparently have a difficult time growing closer to a lazy Trainer. Lurantis can learn Solar Blade, a move that releases a blade-shaped beam to mince up its foes. The blade is so sharp it is said it can slice a rock in half! Solar Blade is a move that no Pokémon has been able to learn before. With Solar Blade, Lurantis absorbs energy from the sun on the first move and then unleashes a powerful attack on the second turn. Lurantis is the Totem Pokémon of Lush Jungle, the site of an Akala Island trial. It will overwhelm trial-goers with the powerful combos it unleashes with the Pokémon allies it calls.

Of TPCi and Play!Pokemon...
So with my last post about TPCi, I decided to do some poking around, specifically
So I decided to do some looking into the company of TPCi, which isn't as big as one would think, considering LinkedIn and GlassDoor lists anywhere from 51-200 employees. Manta.com however, lists them as a staff of 140.
These numbers seem quite small, don't you think?
The company mostly deals with managing the IP outside of Asia (aka the rest of the world) and is responsible for brand management, licensing, marketing, the Pokémon TCG, the TV series, home entertainment (video games), and the official Pokémon website, at least according to TPCi's LinkedIn profile.
This leaves me to wonder how many people actually deal with the "Play!Pokemon" side of things, which leads me to believe that it's a small skeleton crew, with volunteers making up the masses of the grunt work.
At the very least, I would guess that they have very little staff that deal with that, and why such chaos and confusion there is between Pokemon Leagues and Play!Pokemon/TPCi.
TPCi should know as a company that it needs to be at a specific point to cater towards their community, not the other way around.
Opinions on Verlisify aside, I can't believe he got slammed by so many people for speaking out against cheaters in Pokemon. Like really? I also remember a few years back, there were two exact same pokemon, obviously clones, in VGC. I think ray rizzo was at fault there, but since the judge was his friend they did nothing. The circlejerk at vgc and in competitive is unbelievable
I think that’s what bothers me most, is how complacent/inactive tPCI is in regard to this matter.
To be honest, TPCi has been a skeleton crew of a company when it comes to things like this for a while, and in a way, it pisses me off to see them do so little for something so big for the franchise.
I've heard of lack of response between Pokemon League Leaders and the TPCi, and remember because of delays that our league was always running behind in one way or another.
I haven't taken a look at the new system they implemented earlier this year, and I'm not even sure that it's even being used for that matter. Alright, TPCi stuff aside, I actually had to look up tl;dr videos concerning the whole Verlisify fiasco. Heck, I remember griping one day about a genned Shiny Yveltal Justin Flynn was using, and I called him out on it on Twitter. This pissed him off so much, that he has me permanently blocked from Twitter. The larger competitive VGC is sadly in all cases deplorable these days, especially when people have even admitted to using genned Pokemon. All I can really do, is look at myself, and see what Trainer I’ve become playing the game over 18 years now, and take comfort in the fact that if need be, I’m willing to take the time and effort to put together a team by hand, instead of going the easy/lazy route.
More Sun/Moon Speculation
Now, I may be reaching out for some of these ideas, but I haven’t seen anything else to suggest otherwise. I think that Mega Evolution may be purely a Gen 6 thing, and in a way, phased out in exchange of the Z-Bracelet / Z- Crystals. Again, really reaching out there, but I haven’t seen anything otherwise, yet. Another speculation I have, is that the new Alola forms will/can only be attained by the Pokemon Gen I games from the e-shop. We keep hearing time and time again that they were brought over... That could explain those as well. Again, as time winds down, I’m just pointing out what I see, and can interpret.
What I believe each Z-Crystal is...

366 DAY DRAWING CHALLENGE - DAY 58
HAPPY POKEMON DAY!!!
Man, Pokemon is 20 years old now…I feel old (lol). I’m not sure what to say about this, other than I sacrificed my sleep schedule and sanity to get this done on time. I’m really rather proud of it! Much in the way Pokemon has grown and evolved throughout the years, I feel like my art has done so as well. Pokemon has been such a huge part of my life since I was small and this series means so much to me. I loved all the stories and characters in these games, and I’ve always been inspired to draw from this series. So Pokemon, thank you for bringing me joy for so many years, and I hope you’ll continue to provide joy in the years to come!
I really want to follow more pokemon players that are anti-cheating
I only know of a few that are openly so and THANK GOODNESS people are talking about cheaters again in the community so I can post this and hopefully find more people who feel like I do.
The place I used to hang out and trade pokemon used to be full of people who played legit. Then we got flooded by cheaters and new people who came to get pokemon from us were just asking for 6IV dittos instead and cheaters were giving them away. It really ruined our community there and I’m still really sad about it. I no longer have a fully legit community.
I need to find more anti-cheating people so I know who I can come to and really trust on pokemon things. I want to make friends and battle and trade and enjoy my hard work with other people who like hard work.
I sincerely wish that TPCi would do something about cheaters.
Some blogs that I know are anti-cheating that I like a lot (I hope y’all don’t mind me tagging you this way) are @bug-catcher-silva @hyrule-in-a-pokeball and @terraferrum but I want to find more great people
Please reblog this or message me if you are anti-cheating!
