black trans people are valid. black cis people are valid. black non-straight people are valid. black straight people are valid. black queer people are valid. black non-queer people are valid. black people are beautiful and deserve to feel it and know it.

the queer community would not have its rights today without the work of black activists. don’t you fucking dare erase that. black women are inherent, vital parts of both feminism and anti-racism. don’t erase any parts of them. feminism is not and will never be feminism without intersectionality.

fat people are people. do not erase them and their existences on behalf of their percieved health. being fat is not a choice. and even if it were, it would not be a valid reason to discount them.

terfs are bad. men are not inherently bad. it’s a disservice to bad men and good men alike. bad men are bad people who make bad choices and could have been good people who made good choices. men are queer, and disabled, and people of color, and fat, and even when they’re not any of that they can still decide to be good people.

stop butting into others’ private medical care. let people control their own uteruses. let trans kids have whatever supportive medical care they need. trust trans kids. trust science. trust vaccines.

jesus was jewish and a liberal. don’t use religion to justify your hatred and desire for control. don’t use religion as a shield to justify your fear of the unknown.

don’t make lizard government jokes, or big nose jokes. jokes that you don’t understand the history of could be cruel. if someone tells you that your joke was cruel, never make it again. live. learn. be kinder.

sex work is work. nobody should be forced into sex work because of poverty. people whose work is sex work are valid.

defend and elevate people who are weaker than you. project their voices.

colonization is bad and inherently evil. america and so many others stole their land from its native peoples. never forget that. do what you can to make up for that. maybe you didn’t steal the land, but you are directly benefitting from it.

everyone deserves access to food and water and shelter and internet and beauty. everyone deserves affordable healthcare. everyone deserves community and dignity.

fuck the prison-industrial complex. rehabilitation over retribution. stop the cycle of hurt and trauma. nobody should be making money off of those who have been forced to harm others to survive in a capitalist hellscape.

it’s okay to want to be private on the internet, but never say something to others that you wouldn’t want to be said to you, and keep in mind that others may have different boundaries than you. don’t be a creep. tone tags are helpful. if you overreact or say something inappropriate to someone on the internet, apologize. you are a person. they are a person. they will remember you if you don’t apologize and they will remember you differently if you do.

fuck billionaires. billionaires’ existences are inherently unethical. billionaires should use their money for good and to do good things. billionaires should lobby for better protections and to make the world a better place. billionaires can be helpful. billionaires so rarely are. billionaires could use their billions of dollars to effect such rapid changes in the world.

don’t steal others’ work. including with ai. it’s wrong. just don’t.

[Q: Why did you decide to do this experiment?

A: Snake behavior has been generally neglected as a field of research, especially in Brazil. And most studies don’t examine what factors make them want to bite. If you study malaria, you can research the parasite that causes the disease—but if you don’t study the mosquito that carries it, you will never solve the problem. Up until now, the popular wisdom was that the jararaca would only attack if you touched it or stepped on it. But that was not what we found.

Q: Why did you need to be the victim?

A: The best way to do this research is to put snakes and a human together. In this case, the human was me. We put the snakes inside a ring on the floor of our lab until they got used to it, then I stepped in wearing special protective boots. I stepped close to the snake and also lightly on top of it. I didn’t put my whole weight on my foot, so I did not hurt the snakes. I tested 116 animals and stepped 30 times on every animal, totaling 40,480 steps.]

The dog has access to complex machines that can store and process massive amounts of information, launching your society into a new age of scientific and technological advancement.

You later find out that these machines were originally invented because the dog's species has a memory like a sieve and struggles with primary school level maths.
