These Sweet Potato Brioche Burger Buns are light, fluffy, and slightly sweet. They're perfect for your favorite burger creations!
Ingredients: 1 cup mashed sweet potatoes. 1/4 cup warm water. 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast. 3 tablespoons honey. 2 tablespoons melted butter. 2 large eggs. 4 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon salt. 1 tablespoon sesame seeds optional.
Instructions: Warm water, yeast, and 1 tablespoon of honey should all be mixed together in a bowl. Allow it to sit for 5 to 10 minutes until it foams up. Mash the sweet potatoes and add the melted butter, eggs, and the rest of the honey to a large bowl. Mix the yeast with the sweet potatoes and mix them together well. Add the flour and salt slowly to the mixture and knead it until it turns into a smooth dough. Place the dough in a warm area and cover it. Let it rise for about an hour, or until it doubles in size. Warm your oven up to 375F 190C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet. Cut the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each one out into a round about the size of a burger bun. Put the buns on the baking sheet that has been prepared. Brush them with the beaten egg and, if you want, sprinkle them with sesame seeds. The buns are done when they are golden brown and sound hollow when you tap them on the bottom. Before you use the buns for the burgers, let them cool on a wire rack.
