I use they/them and it/its, but really any pronouns are okay. I am a butch genderqueer person. I am also an aromantic lesbain, and love the word queer! I am queer!

I am physically disabled and audhd, as well as mentally ill in other ways. I am also part of a system. My headmates don’t post here, but I may talk about them.

This is by far my most popular blog, and I’m proud of it.

I try and keep this blog pretty positive, though I will post about anything. I’m an inclusionist and accepting of pretty much all identities. I try my best to tag lgbtq phobia and unacceptance. I will not tag the word queer, and also do not tag slurs if they are being reclaimed. If that’s a trigger for you, please do not follow. If you need me to tag a trigger otherwise, please just ask! I’d be happy to do that for you!

I do not have a set dni, but if i think you’re being an asshole or mean, I will block you. I have a strong set of morals and I will stand by them.

On a mission to demystify bottom surgery for girls like

no the risk of complications is not as high as you think

no you dont need to only go to one of two expensive surgeons, you can get good results in tons of places that your insurance will cover

no you wont lose ur trans status or be exiled from the community

yes you will get wet and cum and have a cute vulva and never need to tuck again

something that needs to be adressed around bottom surgery is that it is SO difficult to find examples of post-recovery patients, which is understandable because hey, its ya genitals, not everyone wants to show them off...

Except that there are myriad examples of how it looks during and immediately after surgery. That isn't the case for any other gender affirming surgery, that the post-surgery images would be so widespread and yet the post-recovery images would be all but absent. You don't even get that for top surgery, it's always bottom surgery. This applies broadly too, not just vaginoplasty but phalloplasty and orchiectomy too. Always bleeding incisions and bruising stitches and never actual results. shits whack

Just verified this, I tried to find "Vaginoplasty post-recovery examples", and all that came up were images of the complications, and mid-surgery images. I am fully convinced this is intentional, to prevent trans people from wanting to get bottom surgery.

Idk if its intentional but it is entirely true that I quite literally had to start hooking up with post op trans women to get an idea of what a trans woman's vagin looks like and how it works!!!

I will never forget when I learned about John Robert Brown and had the moment of clarity where I realized that a lot of scaremongering over what people claim to be routine complications for bottom surgery are actually the results of this man's botched surgeries specifically.

Transphobes are walking around talking about the botched surgeries of a man who lost his medical license and was convicted of second degree murder for his medical negligence as though these are typical results, and it's just absolutely stomach churning for me.

Perhaps not all of them realize this is what's happening (these people tend to spread misinformation like the plague), but the people that started this game of telephone had to know. I have an extremely difficult time believing they didn't know what they were doing and that this wasn't intentional. They'll do anything to stop people from exercising their bodily autonomy.

For a reference of not botched images... We've used transbucket website and r/Transgender_Surgeries on reddit to see volunteered images of different transfeminizing bottom surgery post-op pics in early and later recovery to have a realistic sense of expectations and options. You need a transbucket account and reddit account respectively to see the images (for reddit, to see "nsfw images"). Though fair warning that early and post-recovery images are often posted together. The reddit board also has other useful informations.

The list of websites and surgeons are often U.S. centric, while the wikis tend to have other country options. So, here's some surgery and surgeon options:

Queerdoc has a list of more information on types of gender affirming surgeries, grants to cover costs, pre-surgery preparations n requirements, which have BMI requirements, and other info in different pages on the site

Usually, which insurance are accepted depends on the surgeon, but as long as the surgeon is well-rated and not being warned about, if they accept your insurance and referral it isn't necessary to pick only the most praised surgeons. Each surgeon (that hasn't been blacklisted or warned about) has their own techniques, pros and cons, and merits.

Hopefully with this information, it makes bottom surgery seem less scary for the girls with bottom dysphoria.

Latest reblog reminds me of how much it pisses me the fuck off how every queer person alive has to adapt to the usamerican style of queerness lest we get shunned by the community for being too different. I bring this up a lot but bro that time I got death threats for having ele/dele in my bio bc "by using neopronouns I was making a mockery of REAL trans people" when those are literally just my pronouns in my native language, and when I said that I got hit w the "well you're on the internet so speak english" I HATE GRINGOS I HATE GRINGOS I HATE GRINGOS

I feel the need to miss out a crucial detail I missed out in this post I made out of anger, and no, it doesn't add any silver linings or good context, it honestly only serves to make it worse.

In portuguese, much like spanish, we have no gender neutral pronouns. People who do not use ele/dele and ela/dela (he/him or she/her) all use whatever neopronoun suits them best in portuguese (ie elu/delu, eli/deli) because we have no access to a universal gender neutral pronoun like gringos do. When I brought this up upon them making fun of my "neopronouns", they said to suck it up, and that being foreign does not make neos valid.

In mocking people who use neopronouns in english, you are mocking a very large sum of latin american genderqueer and trans people.

I know various latin language speakers that struggle with their identities in their native tongue due to us not having they/them equivalents, so they are forced to let go of their, in example, brazilian queerness, to appease to anglos who would harass them and call them mockeries of trans people for not sticking to what The Cis want.

When non-anglos tell you the usamerican and british dominance over queer spaces ruins things for them, they mean it. We are forced to repress our identites because you people think they're too "out there and problematic". We are forced to suppress our own queer culture because we don't fit into your neat little boxes of what makes someone gay what makes someone a lesbian what makes someone trans or what makes someone anything else.

You tell us to remember "our queer elders", but do you know of any queer latin american figures? We learn your history, and you refuse to learn ours because you already have "too much on your plate". You disregard us and shame us for not fitting your ideals of queerness and using labels for ourselves you dislike, and try to baby us and tell us the proper way to be gay.

Your culture is not universal.

You are not saving queer people by making jabs at other queer people you don't personally get. Odds are you are harming an entire group of foreign queers you never bothered to consider, because your anglo bubble is too self important.

If you want to do queer people a real favour instead of getting mad at identities that existed long before you were even born, here. Make yourself useful. Donate to queer brazilian housing and support programs. Your beloved dollar is worth a lot more than the Real. Even five dollars help.
