Anyone know Catholic theologians who have composed a theology on writing?
At a bit of a crossroads with what might be out of bounds for acceptable writing as a Catholic, esp with regard to communal story building.
E.g. if a character would do something very not okay with Church teaching, how far is too far to go in describing that, particularly if I'm not inherently looking to make a value statement on the action in the moment? Affection and intimacy can be useful ways to convey a character's personality, relationship qualities, and inner psyche, but at what point does writing about it cross a boundary and even create scandal?
Back in college, read some work by Alan Jacobs, but that is a Protestant perspective, and I know Catholicism can be stricter with what is allowed or not, due to Church Tradition and teaching.
