The thing about fantasy worldbuilding is that verisimilitude and the rule of cool are not enemies. Someone who looks at a pod of flying whales and asks "what do they eat?" is not being a spoilsport ā they're engaging with the premise. There are any number of much more serious objections to aerial megafauna than lack of any obvious role in a trophic web that could have been raised if they just wanted to shoot the idea down; a person who wants to know what the flying whales eat is all but explicitly yes-anding the idea. Sure, you might not have an answer at your fingertips, but acting like it's unimaginative for them to have asked is a really fucking weird way to react.
walking into the pissing me off factory then being surprised when I get pissed off
GET ABSOLUTELY SHRIMPED!!!
having a headache while hydrated is so unfair. you were supposed to protect me.
for those like me that want proof this is real:
I saw the commercial for the first time and thought I was being punkād.
these two communicate on a level we cannot understand with current language.
Do you wanna go watch the sunlight pierce the leaves of the forest with me?
"We need trilllions to replace all workers" is quite the ask for an industry that has no profits.
Yeah we've built technology to eliminate the need to hire and pay people... You just need to pay us all the money you would have paid workers over a lifetime all at once. But you'll save moneyyyy
the annoying thing about weightlifting is that you have to lift weights that are a little too heavy for you if you want to get stronger. and you have to push yourself outside of your comfort zone in order to keep building muscle. fucked up.
thank god this same principle doesnt apply to any other skill you want to improve at! that would really suck.
This is a reminder for those who handmake Christmas presents that now is not too early to start. It may in fact be a good time to start if you have a lot to make/your craft takes a long time. You should maybe start it now, whether that's brainstorming or actually doing the crafts!

250 years and most native tribal groups continue to not be federally recognized. Embarrassing!
Hey so a small thing that literally everyone who sees this is capable of is correcting any āused toā statements about native people in this country.
āNative people used to live in this National Parkā No. They still do.
āNative people used to tell these stories-ā No. They still do.
āNative people used to use this plant as a natural remedy-ā No. They still do.
Better yet, familiarize yourself with the tribes local to you. Odds are, they do not yet have federal recognition. You can still read the stories they have to share, you can share their ongoing battle for recognition with others, you can sign petitions and spread the word to others to do so as well. But do something.
